I'm trying to decide on a goal for a freezer stash. Help me out! 1. Are you working or SAHM? 2. How much do you have in the freezer now? 3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? 4. How do you organize it?
1. WAHM 2. 16oz - 4 4oz bags 3. replace what I use, I'd like to keep 1/2 day's work in case anything comes up 4. Not relevant haha it's in a plastic bin to separate from meats

1. Mat leave for a year so no stash needed 2. I think I have around 40 oz? I've never counted it. 3. I only replace what I use when I go out. 4. It's in a ziploc bag in the freezer.
DS (our little Clomid miracle) born Sept. 25, 2012 Baby #2 lost at 8w3d on March 4, 2015 (EDD Oct. 11, 2015) Baby #3 lost at 5w2d on April 16, 2015 (EDD Dec. 15, 2015) Baby #4 lost at 4w1d on May 20, 2015 (EDD Jan. 25, 2016) DS2 (our little rainbow miracle) born May 25, 2016
1. Are you working or SAHM? I work outside of the home 2. How much do you have in the freezer now? About 80-90 oz 3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I'm happy as long as I have at least 32 oz. That's two long daycare days worth. 4. How do you organize it? I put the milk bags in gallon size freezer bags by month.
2. How much do you have in the freezer now? 12 4oz bags
3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I'm at my goal and have returned my pump, so this is it. It's more for emergencies than anything else so I don't think I'll need more. Probably won't even use what I have before it goes bad since she won't currently take a bottle.
4. How do you organize it? It's all in the bottom shelf in the door of the freezer.
Well. Apparently I am a milk hoarder. I have thought about not pumping anymore but tbh I am afraid my supply will drop so I just keep going.... Could probably use a pep talk!
I pump 2x/day "extra" when not working, but don't pump extra when I work...
1. Working mama 3 days a week.
2. Gonna guess at 600oz -ish. Last I counted was just under 400 about 1.5 months ago.
3. I am content, but see above. I also like the idea of having it for emergency or when I start to wean.
1. Working mom 2. I haven't counted in a while but probably around 100oz 3. Ideal goal is enough for a few days and my DS is a big eater 4. I keep it in a box in our chest freezer. The bottom of the box is cut into a flap so you can see the dates of the oldest milk bags (they're frozen flat and stacked vertically in the box)
I'm trying to decide on a goal for a freezer stash. Help me out! 1. Are you working or SAHM? Working Om
2. How much do you have in the freezer now? About 200 oz but 120 of it is before I gave up soy and dairy. Part of me wants to keep it for emergencies, part of me wants to donate it and part of me wants to see if it helps my eczema like people say it will
3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I'm a freezer hoarder - I like putting it in and hate takings it out and actually using it. I currently pump exactly what I need for work and I hate pumping extra so I'm only adding here and there right now
4. How do you organize it? I have a plastic bin I fill up and then it goes into ziploc bags

I'm trying to decide on a goal for a freezer stash. Help me out! 1. Are you working or SAHM? Working 2. How much do you have in the freezer now? Around 400 oz 3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? Enough to make sure DD gets BM at daycare for a year. I'm having a hard time keeping up with her (she eats 16 - 18 oz during the day) so I have to dip into my stash once or twice a week but can usually replace it on the weekend when I pump a little extra each day. With DS I started pumping less and less as the months went on so just trying to be prepared. 4. How do you organize it?
I have about 1/2 my stash at my parents since my mom watches DD once a week and try to have her use some of the older frozen stuff and add new. The rest is in our freezer frozen flat then organized by month in freezer bags.
1. SAHM 2. I'm not completely sure... Somewhere over 75oz probably 100ish? 3. I honestly don't know. We go through it fairly regularly since he usually gets a few pumped bottles a week and j don't pump that frequently. So I usually pump the same amount he eats or slightly more and can freeze an extra bag. He gets the older thawed milk and I pump to replace what he eata when my MIL watches him. 4. How do you organize it? I have a plastic container with a snap lid and k just stack them all in there and stick it in the freezer. I know I must be adding to my stash because it's getting harder to close. It's also not the best for finding the oldest milk so I need to reorganize it often to make sure old is on top lol

1. Are you working or SAHM? Working 2. How much do you have in the freezer now? About 400 oz? 3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I don't really have one although I may donate some of what I have since it's more than I need. I would like to keep at least 100 oz in case of an emergency or if I get sent on an overnight out of town trip for work. 4. How do you organize it? It's in gift bags with a slit cut out of the bottom in my deep freeze.
1. Are you working or SAHM? Working outside the home
2. How much do you have in the freezer now? I actually counted last night because I'm obsessed - 427.5 oz. I started freezing the last week of June and will continue to store any excess from the week.
3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I want to get him to a year of BF at least. I actually haven't used any of my stash yet since I'd rather give him fresh. I'm going to look into donating some because I know I have a 6 month timeframe and I don't want it to go to waste. I usually pump 6 times a day and offer him feedings when I can.
4. How do you organize it? We have a freezer downstairs where I keep everything. I use the Lansinoh bags, freeze flat and store in these bins I got from Target.
Do you know what you're hoping to have? How long would you like to BF?
3. Enough to get us through a year. If I pump while nursing, I get extra to freeze. If It follows the path with DD, if I pump at work, I'll pump what he needs.. If I'm lucky. Anything leftover will be donated.
4. Freeze flat, then into zip locks, then into the deep freeze.

3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? 200oz. We plan to take a trip away from both kids in April 2017 and going by the 25oz a day rule I would need 150ish oz. The rest would be for date nights and occasional overnights at grandmas.
4. How do you organize it? I do bags of 5oz and freeze flat. I then put them in a gift bag that has a slit cut at the bottom so you can slide one bag out at a time. The oldest go on the bottom and the newest are loaded at the top.

SAHM 130ish, and only that little because I'm desperately trying to back off on needing to pump every day. I'd be fine having only 25-50 and donating the rest, but I've been stood up twice for donations on HM4HB. Gallon baggies with 25oz each and a date range.

1. Are you working or SAHM? working
2. How much do you have in the freezer now? maybe close to 100 oz
3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? eek, as much as i can, i need enough for a couple of weeks away as i will be traveling for work, i hope i can get there! i am currently pumping just enough for each day care day or 17.5 oz per day so i am not adding much. it is hard to get extra at this point.
4. How do you organize it? it's in zip lock bags with the dates on them in the deep freeze but i need some bins of some sort.

Working momma here. No idea how much I have - but I've filled 2 gallon sized plastic bags and have started a third. I hope to get enough so that if I stop pumping I can make it to a year with stashed milk for DC. I freeze the bags in the inside freezer then move them to our chest freezer once they are fully frozen. They are in gallon sized baggies in the chest freezer. I pull from the oldest bag every Sunday to thaw for DC on Monday and Friday everything I pump goes to the freezer. I have a few of the chem tube style containers in the inside freezer if we need extra milk or a random bottle on the weekend or something.
ETA - I always get 4 oz extra ounces a day. Shooting for 8 oz extra but that doesn't happen every day.
I am so impressed with these stashes! Donating is something I'd love to do, but it's silly to actively create an over supply just to donate 😔 Our BF supply is perfect the way it is. Maybe during weaning? We shall see.
2. I have no frozen or pumped BM at all. I have only pumped a couple of times. I have a whole BM storage system that I've never even opened the box {I need to just take it back for a refund}

Is it wrong that if pumping wasn't so annoying I would continue pumping to donate in exchange for the nice boobs and legally protected work breaks? 😳

Breaks at work are only legally protected for one year after the baby's birth.
1. Are you working or SAHM? Working outside the home. 2. How much do you have in the freezer now? Hmm...somewhere between 200-275oz this time around. I only get an additional 2oz/day. I have NOT been tracking what I put in the freezer though. It's all numbered though. 3. What is your freezer goal (if you have one)? I don't have a freezer goal. I have a goal to hopefully pump enough while I'm at work to not need to dip into my stash daily. 4. How do you organize it? Every bag is dated with pump date and a number. Right now I have about 70bags of milk. When we start using, I'll start from the highest number OR whatever is about to expire. There is absolutely NO real method to my madness this time around. I was much more meticulous with DS1. This time, I'll use whatever milk and just make sure I'm not letting any expire. I also had about 800oz when I went back to work last time :/ Makes me sad I have so much less this time. And nervous too!

Thanks ladies! You've given me some good things to think about! Right now I have about 325 oz stored. My original goal was 1,000 oz but I decided maybe that was a little excessive. So maybe 500? Or 750? Right now I'm pumping 5-6 times a day. Once I hit my freezer goal I would step back to only pumping 2-3 times to cover his daily bottles. I'm a little obsessive because with A I never really thought about it and ended up having a huge supply crash around 9 months and we burned through the freezer stash and ended up having to use formula the last month. I don't want that to happen again this time, especially when my work schedule allows me the time to pump so often.

I feel like the supply crash around then must be common. We had one of DSs buddies over (a little lady because all his BFFs are girls) and her mom was saying that her supply tanked around 10 months (as did mine) and we both had to do a BM/ formula mix until starting whole milk.
You make me want to up my stash game because based on history I'm pretty sure I'll need it!
