I'm afraid my bff settled with her H. I've always sort of thought this, but after spending 3 whole days with them as a couple, I'm even more convinced. Granted, they have a 13 month old and I think she's been dealing with some PPA for quite a while, but she seems so unhappy. When they met he had a great job and already bought a house. We were 19 when they met so this made him a solid candidate.
I hate passing judgement on someone else's marriage.

erinshelley21 I hope she's getting the support she needs for her PPA. Hopefully you're either wrong about her husband, or he'll shape up as he ages. Hopefully.

I'm not sad to be on pelvic rest. I'm so, so tired first tri that sex just sounds horrible anyway, though I do think regular sex helps my relationship with my husband. For now, though, I just feel relieved to not have to make time for it.

It's not that her husband is a bad guy. He's actually pretty nice but I just don't think he's the right guy for her. She is recognizing that she needs some support so I'm relieved for that.
Congratulations, you guys I left the forum scene long enough because of the trolls on the larger birth month forums and life just being insane.. that you are all making me feel old! I had to read through the whole "UO" thread to find out what that meant... what the heck is this thread!? I feel old.. and I'm a computer nerd >< Old school for the win?

I guess my FFFC is that I have been on multiple (like 4 or 5) weekend away since DD has been born. She is 17 months. Next weekend away is in a few weeks! And I can't wait!
I think those cube organized shelves are overrated and the popularity makes them so pricey!
This brought to you by trying to pick something to organize the playroom temporarily. Walmart cheap shelves for the win.
This sounds more like UO than a FFFC. It's confession day! #justsayin
Ah yes, you got me. I'll try again... I'm glad my friend didn't come to visit because her house is super organized and gorgeous so now I'm going to redo the play room to make myself feel better since she's coming next week.
Opposite of meggypoo1 and daisylola11 which I guess makes me the odd one -- my kids spent the night at my parents' last Friday night and it was glorious. Definitely odd in the morning, but they had fun and so did we! (That was only my second night away from DS)

I went for a long weekend out of the country before DS's first birthday and he stayed home with my parents. It was great and the second or third time we had left him overnight without us.
Eta: my parents live 2 hrs away and really my H works so much out of town that he wants to spend the time with all of us when we do go places. We're kinda hermitty now too haha
One of my twins, Alexandria, tries my patience so badly. Not just because she is stubborn, but she is stubborn, really smart.. and her stubbornness has already put us in a crappy situation at least twice.

Our first night away from ds was when he was 8 months old. My mom stayed at our house with him. His first night away from home was at 11 months old. During my busy seasons at work he will stay with mil a couple times per month and my mom likes to keep him overnight.
We just spent 4 nights away from him on a couples trip. It was great for our marriage. Probably one of our last weekends away until this LO is close to a year old.
missi, I have 2.5 year old twins and one is Alexandria who sounds like your! We like to say God gave us her to stay humble because we have worked with kids so long and usually our "charges" listen extremely well, play well, and are easier. Clearly some of that is just temperament because Lexi goes through extremely difficult stages.
My FFFC is lame. I have an important test on Thurs I should be studying for but haven't started at all.

Maybe it is the name My Alexandria has a black eye at the moment.. because she wouldn't go to bed, continued playing, and tripped into the mirrored closet door bashing her face ~sigh~ You can only babyproof so much with twins. ><
@amc25, it is a beautiful name She has a gorgeous smile and is very sweet when her stubbornness isn't getting in the way ^_~ She got her daddy's deep dimples and long long eye lashes So adorable. Just be prepared for a strong willed one! lol
missi, ah thanks, I just pulled out my notes so here it goes. I had to laugh at the black eye (not at her pain, poor thing that could not have been fun) because that just sounds so much like something ours would do. She was awake and playing during nap time as I wrote the last post.
@amc25, I would agree with missi, Very strong willed but we like to say it will make her a strong, motivated woman
I just thought of a better FFFC:
Before I had my twins, I judged parents so hard. All of my nanny kids never watched TV, took great naps, listened to my directions all without having to yell or threaten or bribe, etc...
Yeah, parenting is just not the same as being a nanny or preschool teacher!

I wore my support belt today for a couple hours. Loading the dishwasher was giving me big time round ligament pain, so I decided to try it out. No regrets helped so much
