How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going?
Work is good. I couldn't be happier with my decision to switch careers. I do miss my old job, but now I get the best of both worlds - stay home with baby I and contribute to our family's income in a way I enjoy. BF'ing at work is going great.
- How do you feel about your child care situation?
My daycare provider is the best 😝
- How are you doing with baby/home life?
Usually by the time DC is over I'm ready to hand baby I over to MH and MH is good with that since he misses him all day. Then I get a little break. Part of my job is cleaning and food prep for the next day, so I have to get that done every day. It doesn't bother me to do chores at night since I spent all day with my babe. It's just perfect.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home?
Awesome at work is I have a new kiddo starting Monday AND 2/4 of the certification snafoos are resolved. Two left between me and certification/more clients/more $. Awesome at home is MH cut back significantly on his extra work so he can come home and spend time with us at night. He used to work every day of the week and 3 days of 12+ hours. Yikes!
1. Day 2. Pumping is fine, but boring. DS is not a rockstar with actually drinking my milk though..
2. A-okay. He's with DH until next Thursday, but we know that DD was healthy and thriving at this center, so he will be too.
3. DD monopolized me last night. She wanted to sit on me, to go for a run with me, for me to give her a bath, etc., so I didn't get much in the way of baby snuggles.
4. People are happy to have me back. Not just because they like me, but because they value what I bring to our company. I didn't feel that way when I came back with DD at my old company.

- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? things are ok, but it is a weird adjustment for sure. BF/pumping is going fine, although i wish i was able to pump a little bit more each time so i could stash some. i'm currently making JUST enough for bottles.
- How do you feel about your child care situation? i feel good about it, he is doing great, i just hate that i only get to see him for a couple of hours before he goes to sleep
- How are you doing with baby/home life? i'm not sure
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? this was my first full week back so its been good to see everyone and talk to real people again. at home, i'm just proud of myself for surviving and getting into a routine.

- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? I'm doing good! I think having a baby really gets my creative juices flowing. I always come back to work with so many new ideas!
- How do you feel about your child care situation? Good. The DC is great and the teachers keep us really informed.
- How are you doing with baby/home life? Busy. I barely have time for anything during the week. I've been trying to work out but it's tough!
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? Well I've been interviewing like crazy and really hope to get an offer soon. The hens are laying!!
- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? Work is fine; pumping is going so well that I signed up with a milk bank to donate the extra. With J I made just enough; now I currently pump about 8-10 oz extra each day.
- How do you feel about your child care situation? Still great. This week I learned that she's only one of five babies at the moment; they have 12 signed up but some moms are still on maternity leave and a few haven't been born yet. I bet she's getting spoiled. She's not napping well but she never napped well for me either.
- How are you doing with baby/home life? I miss my baby She's so tired after daycare that she falls asleep in car, maybe wakes up for a nurse, then goes back for a nap that sometimes transitions right into bedtime.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? At work I managed to catch a mistake I made in the class schedule and fix it before it became an issue. At home MH has FINALLY started helping around the house more now that I'm back at work.
- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going?
BFing at home is fine but some days I don't pump as much as little miss eats. I have a decent stash to take from and can usually replenish what I have to take in the weekends. It's just annoying because I know my supply is fine since she's totally content in the weekends and I can pump an extra few bottles.
- How do you feel about your child care situation?
Good! She's in the same DC as DS and has one of his infant room teachers. She is a super smiley and mostly content baby so they're really enjoying her.
- How are you doing with baby/home life?
Pretty well. I wish DH would do things without having to ask him but I'm sure we'll fall back into our normal routine. I took over most duties while I was home so he could have time with the kids in the evenings and I think he got a bit lazy. It's also hard to split my attention between DS and DD I find myself hoping DD takes a little longer to go down at night so I can get guilt free baby snuggles.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home?[/quote]
I got a promotion before I left for ML so I'm working on hiring my replacement and I'm deciding between two really good candidates right now 😄
At home DS and DD are starting to interact a lot more and it is freaking adorable!

- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? Going okay. It was a busy Monday and Tuesday but slow rest of the week. I had to pump in the family restroom at a library where we were doing an outside training at because there weren't other options. Luckily it was clean and I didn't feel too bad about it. Glad to be back to my supply closet for pumping now though
- How do you feel about your child care situation? Okay. DS hasn't been eating quite as much as I would like but I don't think it's due to them not feeding him.
- How are you doing with baby/home life? It's exhausting but we are adjusting. Balancing time with two kids after work is tricky.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? I got news for sure that I won't have to travel for a week in October, which is a huge relief. At home, DD has been really well behaved this week.
- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? Work is going good. I love the school I'm in! I have so much fun teaching these kids! Pumping is going well. I'm currently pumping quite a bit more than he's eating each day so I'm getting a nice little freezer stash. BFing is going great! No issues. 😊
- How do you feel about your child care situation? I LOVE IT!! He's in the early childhood center attached to our school. He's literally right down the hall!!! - How are you doing with baby/home life? It's not bad. Evenings are hard- it's after 5 when we get home and both boys are in bed by 7 at the very latest. It makes for an extremely hectic hour and a half of cooking dinner, eating, bath, and bed! - Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? My principal came into one of my classes for a few minutes this week and left a nice little note in my mailbox saying how much she loved watching me teach. It made me feel so good! At home, I am just blown away by A's growth since starting preschool last week. It's nuts! This afternoon he's been answering me "ok" when I say things like "I'll open the garage door then come get you out of your seat" or "I'll get you more water when Cam is finished nursing." I don't know why but it makes him seem so grown up!
How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? I went back to work mid-week, which I highly recommend for the first week back. I still couldn't wait until Friday. There were lots of changes while I was gone, people retiring, quitting, etc. A huge project we won a few months ago is finally starting up. Pumping is going well. There are two lactation rooms and only one other person pumping right now. I need to work on scheduling time for pumping though. I only had time for one break yesterday and daycare had prepped a bottle right before I got there so I couldn't nurse DS right away.
- How do you feel about your child care situation? I feel pretty good about it. The ladies in the baby room seem really loving. G is a happy baby, so it helps when he smiles when he see them as we drop him off. DH packed the diaper bag yesterday and forgot the binky and he had a rough day because of it so I felt so bad! I use playtex drop ins and they melted a bunch of the outer parts in the bottle warmer though. They are still useable, just warped in a place the milk doesn't touch. They use an app for daily reports, which I love!
The only snafu was with DS1. He wasn't supposed to start aftercare until the second day of school. DH and I were at his school to pick him up and they accidentally sent him on the daycare van. He saw us standing there as they drove off and when I found out what happened I had to go home, get the car and drive after them. I caught up as they were pulling in and DS was hysterical. Not how we wanted to end his first day of kindergarten! I was so upset and daycare and the school were blaming each other but it was really more of the school's fault. They had it in writing and put a P for parent pickup on his hand and they should never have let him go in the van without calling us. In the chaos of getting DS1 to calm down and getting DS2 from daycare I misplaced my car keys and had to search inside, outside and in the van, but finally found them in DS1's backpack. The school called the next day, apologized and gave me the cell number of the person who escorts kids to the van.
- How are you doing with baby/home life? I have to remind myself I have to be a machine for the next year, just like with DS1. There's so much prep work every night for bottles, washing pump parts, packing lunches, etc. DH has been so helpful this week on tag teaming the housework and kids.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? My coworker's were struggling to design lactation rooms, since none of them have ever pumped, but luckily I was back and gave them lots of good advice. DS1 started kindergarten and loves it!

How much are you ladies pumping on the weekend? I'm torn because I want to nurse but I also want to pump s little to keep up my stash in case I don't make enough during the week.

no pumping on the weekends for me. Maybe one day further on if I start to struggle to keep up but I loath washing pump parts.
How much are you ladies pumping on the weekend? I'm torn because I want to nurse but I also want to pump s little to keep up my stash in case I don't make enough during the week.
I try to pump at least once in the morning on one day, maybe both days. I typically freeze what I pumped on Friday so it's nice to have fresh milk for Monday and not having to use any from the freezer. Of course there's weekends where it doesn't happen at all!
- How are you doing at work? If breastfeeding how's the pumping/BFing at home going? Work is good. I've been back a month and I have slipped right back into routine. Pumping is going well. No different then last time so far. I'm keeping up with what she eats sometimes maybe an ounce more. I should start pumping before bed but I don't feel like it. I'll make a better effort when we have less wake ups during the night.
- How do you feel about your child care situation? Childcare is good. She is at the same daycare as DD1. She has been sleeping well which is nice. They also say she rolls both ways sometimes but I haven't seen it at home. The times she has rolled at home, no one was watching lol
- How are you doing with baby/home life? F'ing busy lol weekdays are no joke. Home, dinner, dishes, bath, bedtime for DD2 then DD1, hand wash all bottles and pump parts. Sometimes this make H grumpy which makes me grumpy because I feel like we knew if would be this way for the first year and he needs to just suck it up. Weekends are busy too but we try to squeeze in something fun.
- Tell us something awesome that happened at work this week. What about at home? Work - I survived! Lol it was a busy week and we are heading into month end. I was able to clean and re arrange somethings on Friday which was nice Home - my brother and SIL visted yesterday. She is pregnant and due in October. I also sent out DD1's third birthday invites

I pump once per day on the weekends.
It's obnoxious- when I pump in addition to feeding, I get 7-10 oz. When I only pump, I get barely enough to cover what he eats.

Yes for me too!! DD has started really putting a lot of sentences together and it's crazy how grown up she seems.

I pump once before bed every night including weekends since DS has started sleeping longer.
I only pump on the weekends if I'm engorged first thing in the morning even after she nurses. I can usually get 6-8 oz. I try to avoid it though because I hate washing pump parts.

I do put the pump parts in the dishwasher, but between that, four daycare bottles, storage bottles (not a fan of transporting milk in bags), plus all of the toddler's plastic dishes the top rack of the dishwasher is constantly overloaded. It feels like I can never catch up to all of the dishes we make.

I make H handwash everything. The man hates to get up MOTN to help but he will do dishes and get all the kids stuff ready for the next day (and spray out DD's poopy diapers) so I guess I shouldn't complain.
I just don't like how the bottle nips get cloudy after going through the dishwasher. Plus ours gets SUPER hot and I'm afraid it's going to break down the plastic quicker. Someone tell me if I'm being ridiculous. H would appreciate it.

I don't pump on weekends, but I think i need to start after their morning eating. At work, I'll pump out 11-12 ounces at my first pump session because I don't think they empty me out enough before work. I might just pump in the morning after they eat at 6 and freeze it to help keep my stash going.
Work has been so busy. I mostly do 10 hr shifts 2-3 times a week. Usually not more than 2 in a row. The schedule gets chaotic but i prefer it this way since between the commute and the shift I get to pump only once in 12 hrs. Twice if I am lucky. So far I have kept up with demand. I helps I work nights while she sleeps. I am paranoid about supply though.
I still pump twice a day when I don't work just to keep supply up.
Our lives are crazy busy right now, DH just started back to school too. I am exhausted. But after Christmas DH will hopefully have a better schedule and less school!

Can you pump in the car during your commute? I've been doing that and it is helpful (assuming you are driving of course)

Yes!! I pump the whole way to work which helps. I dont pump on the way home unless she just ate.

All your bottle and pump pieces are made to be able to boil to sanitize, so I wouldn't worry about the heat. We never had an issue with them getting cloudy.

WSS! Everything, even pacifiers, go in the dishwasher! And I often run it with the "sanitize" cycle, so it's even hotter!
