Whew finally Friday! I've had my sister's 3 kids all week on top of J.. plus their friends popping up here and there to play.. its been a busy week I feel like I've not sat down once the whole time. My back hurts, but it has at least been fun
Tomorrow we have SOs friends wedding and Im so excited! His sister and niece will come over ours to stay with J, and we're staying at the hotel after the wedding.. hooray! This is in fact our first night away from home together without J, ever.. like as in including before she was born! I love wedding receptions and love love staying in hotels, so I'm super pumped. Got to remember to paint my nails tonight lol, its on my to-do list
holliberry28, I'm sorry you are dealing with this.
I spent some time in my classroom today. I spent the rest of the time trying to find things for my classroom with no luck. My room is windowless so I was hoping to find some fake plants to spruce up the place. Unfortunately, I only found plants that were obviously fake and cheap and ugly or beautiful and real-looking and $$$$$. Students are just going to have to stare at concrete for a while.

My massage got cancelled, boo, but at least I'm getting an adjustment anyway. Depending on what kind of mood A is in afterwards we may try to go to the children's museum.

A did awesome at the children's museum. I was a little disappointed, I guess I was expecting more out of the place. Especially for $8 a person. But he was happy and running around and having fun, so mehhh.
periwinkledaydreams I love them too. I also have a bad habit of wring things in parenthesis. I'm not sure what I think it accomplishes.
So for me I think they convey how I would be saying the things out loud? Because as Im typing here Im kind of talking in my head as I go. Theyre like a bit more of a pause than a comma could accomplish. I use the parentheses too.. not as often but in longer posts for sure. Those are things I'm glossing past and fast talking because they have necessary info for the present convo but also too long a back story to bother typing out.
Are you all talking in your head when you're typing? Lol I'm not drunk or even drinking, I swear.
Haven't been able to check in today until now. I planned my friend's bachelorette party, which is tomorrow. I rented a house for the weekend, so rather than let it go to waste tonight, we had a family day all around Madison. E has been walking around the house saying wow, over and over, it's super cute! DH and E go home in the morning and guests will come just after that. Full day of bachelorette activities tomorrow. I really wish I could drink because bridezilla and her family have been annoying/judgmental/not helpful this entire summer when it came to the bridal shower last month and tomorrow's bachelorette.
turtle my classroom is windowless too so I feel ya! I'm going with super bright colors on all the bulletin boards in hopes of lightening things up.
holliberry28 I'm sorry your sister is still at it about M's eval. Sounds like you might be on the right track with spending some time away from her completely. I had to do that with my brother after all the shit he pulled while living with us when I was pregnant with H. I still have no desire to talk to him and just feel better overall without him around. I truly believe that if family can't respect you and treat you kindly, they need a "time-out" till they can. They can't treat you however they want just because you happen to be related. There's a huge difference between respectfully conveying concerns out of love and bullying someone. You don't need that, especially right now! Thinking of you a lot with all you have going on!!!
Waiting for DH & BIL to arrive at the new place with the first half of our stuff! MIL/FIL will follow tomorrow with the UHaul and the rest of it. It worked out really great that SIL was out of town this weekend with the baby so BIL, my nephew and my 6-yr-old niece are going to stay a few days SIL never would have let that happen! So our weekend will be unpacking and unpacking and oh yeah, unpacking. Also, I just decided (while sitting here staring at our drab walls) that I want to paint. DH is not going to be happy when I share this revelation...

I took my class there on a field trip once and was underwhelmed.... The children's museums we went to this summer in to lower 48 were awesome. I wish we had something a little better because it would be nice in the long winter to have a more choices.
Yeah, I grew up with the natural science museums in Durham and Raleigh so I was really expecting more. I was hoping to find something for this winter too. I feel like there aren't going to be too many options for him until he gets bigger.
heartofglass we do swim lessons and I'm hoping to start at the gymnastics place when she's 2. There is a new mygym in town but k couldn't justify the $85 a month, if I could only take her to the weekly class, not to any open gym times because of our work schedule.
I've got to sign A up for swim lessons. This kid loves the water. I'll have to check out the gym, but I agree that $85 a month is pretty high.
