Flying solo with the kiddo today while my husband works. Trying to figure out what to do with our day besides Curious George. We are headed out of town tomorrow to a cabin in the woods for a few days. Hope everyone's weekends are off to a good start!
So glad it's the weekend. The last couple of days at work were busy. That equals me not being able to PB all day, and, unfortunately that I have work to finish this weekend.
Two days ago my dd was looking for her paci before bed. Without thought, I told her the paci fairy took it, which must mean she's a big girl and doesn't need it anymore. Luckily, this somehow satisfied her and she did great without it overnight.
The problem is, I didn't fully think it through. My H left Thursday for a weekend work project up north. Dd is now getting a cold. While she isn't bugging me for a paci, she is harder to get down. Yesterday she got up at 5:00 with me and whined the entire time I got ready for work.
This morning, she woke up at 5:30 and would not go back to bed. It took all my self control not to throw a paci in her mouth to see if that helped. Momma is so tired. We're watching cartoons, and I'm wishing I could drink a gallon of coffee.
Need to decide what to do to wear out a toddler and puppy this morning. We're supposed to get storms so I think the park is out.
Am literally flying to NY state today with DD. Didn't sleep well because I was anxious about it. We are in our layover and so far DD has been great, albeit hyper.
Will be seeing my parents and brother/SIL this trip. Debating about spilling the beans. If I feel good and can just act tired, I'll probably wait, but if the nausea makes me want to die I may spill. I hate this.

It's supposed to be really nice here this weekend! Much better than that awful humidity we've had the past few weeks
I was looking forward to a one-night camping trip with H a couple hours away, but it's going to be rainy all day and night... kind of wondering if we want to just bow out and do something else.

Awwww welcome to my state! I'm in NYC right now but I will happily be back in the better part of NY in 13 hours.

Oh no! I love the sound of rain on a tent but messy cleanup.
So fun! I didn't realize that was why you were en route to NYC last night. Have so much fun!
Ah yes. Dress fitting at the say yes to dress shop.
EEE!!!! You probably can't sneak photos, but please let us know how it goes later! I just went dress shopping last weekend with one of my bffs and it was actually way more fun than I thought it would be.

I do love the sound of rain but don't know if I want to drive 2 hours and then not be able to have a fire or enjoy a hike. We might splurge and go on a fanceh movie night.

I have a meetup with a bunch of local ladies from my dd's bmb J15. I'm stoked! It's almost a 2 hour drive, but right at nap time each way. Should be fabulous!
Good morning! We have a family wedding today. I'm praying its inside cause I'm so over this heat. And cause it'll also help contain my non-napped wildchild.
Ohh binks! I'm so glad my son would never take a pacifier. I kinda sorta hope this next one won't either. Just to avoid this part of it all. Good luck!
jellykat2, we REALLY need to wean from the paci. Stay strong!
I have this thought in my mind that I will not give one to my child. I know that is insane and will never work.
That was my Hs thought. I was always indifferent. When she was a brand new squish it calmed her down immediately. Luckily, she's always been pretty good with it. Used it for sleep and in the car mostly after about 9-10 months. We've never had a meltdown over it. We cut back to just sleep about 6 months ago. We went to the dentist a few weeks ago and they said they could tell she used one, and although they said the differences in her teeth were all reversible, I want her to be done. Plus, if new baby does use a paci, I want it to be far enough removed that she's not trying to steal it from him/her.

Rain on a tent does sound amazing. But I agree I might not be up for it for just one night. What you thinking of seeing if you go to a movie?
My first appointment is still 2 1/2 weeks away. Not until I'm 9-10 weeks. I feel like I'm not gonna real feel pregnant until I have an appointment, even though I have waves of nausea and I'm tired as fuck. I don't know why I just can't wrap my head around it this time. If it's just the second one isn't as exciting, or because I had a loss last month.

I'm thinking maybe Secret Life of Pets. I really want to see it!

Were driving a couple hours south to meet up with some old friends. We planned to meet at the zoo. I'm already regretting that since it's supposed to be 95 degrees today.
