heisenberg - 3 hours. That sounds amazing. Those are pretty rare in our house. I got a 2 hour nap in with dd and felt worse after. How is that possible. I also am grouchy mama today.
Very rare here too. Probably because he was waking his parents up last night wanting to play. 🙄 We are going to re-sleep train after our little mini-break. Might just cold turkey the binky too.
I got a job interview tomorrow for a business operations manager at Old Navy. There is a lot into the job description so I am a little over whelmed. But we could use the $ if it pays more than what I make now.

Ugh today was the most activity I've had since before finding out I was pregnant. We drove 2 hours (I was supposed to drive but gave up halfway and made H switch with me so i could nap), we walked around the zoo for 4 hours in the 95 degree heat, I got sunburned, we went to dinner (awesome bbq), then drove home (made H drive the whole way). I napped in the car both ways but I'm beyond exhausted, and sunburned. I'm already in bed.

Sounds like a great day! Minus the sunburn. I wore long sleeves in NYC today so no sunburn here. But I also had the most activity today since I found out I was pregnant. We clocked almost 20,000 steps.
hpnegirl - hope ds Likes George. I think almost every Easter bunny I've seen is scary as hell, so really can't blame him there.
Apparenly the Easter bunny and Santa are in cahoots with George because he also did not like George. Unfortunately for him, we had a good laugh at his crying face and misery at being near him. I'm pretty sure we're off the hook on these costumed characters for a while
T-6 hours until my ILs are on their way back to New England. Still not soon enough but we're getting closer to it..
They have to get back to pick up their dog from the kennel, which they make sure we know they are not happy about doing because we don't allow dogs in our tiny apartment
Also, DS much prefers my FIL over my MIL.. MILs annoyance/hatred of this fact is very obvious this weekend and I'm thoroughly amused by it. She also made it obvious she did not like being told she couldn't coddle him when DS was throwing a fit nor could they hover over him and distract him while he was eats. She also prefers to stay here until after he falls asleep but we got FIL to agree they would leave before bedtime since it's easier for us to get him down if he's not here (I have a lot of issues with MIL overstepping her bounds and not getting that she's overstayed her welcome)

hpnegirl, I hope you enjoy your IL free day today. H isn't close with his father, or too close with his stepmother (his real mom died when he was 10), and sometimes I'm grateful just because I don't have to deal with things like that.

They're not leaving until 12-1p but I'm sure going to enjoy them being gone once they are... They'll be back for the weekend in three weeks though :/
This is semi-tolerable compared to what it's been. When I was pregnant with DS and until last year, we lived 25 minutes away so we often were over there on the weekends or they'd come and spend all freaking day at our place. Each visit would involve MIL lamenting that she worked during the week and was jealous that FIL spend almost every afternoon watching DS while DH worked on his thesis. When we said we we're finally coming back to NY, it was all about how she wouldn't get to see her grandson as often now, no matter that we moved back so DH could finish his thesis and start working nor that I got a better paying job with better benefits that would make supporting our family better. Nope, all about her...
I have stories from when DS was first born that would make anyone hate her... Like saying that I didn't want her being part of the family and calling and cursing out DH because we kicked them out after being at our place for over 2 hours when DS was 6 days old because they couldn't stay as long as they wanted (which was forever... They also spent a minimum of 8 hours at the hospital each day we were there).
Hell, she wanted to be in the damn hospital room when I was in labor. When she was told I was being induced, she goes "okay, what time should we get there?" She also thought we'd let her come and stay with us for a while so she could help out when DS was born so she was saving all her vacation time to do that. Hahaha no.
hpnegirl I'm sorry that you have such an interesting relationship with your ILs. At least they are not your neighbors anymore....
They showed up before 9am today. I'm pissed. At least they will be gone by 1pm at the latest.
Im taking this opportunity to clean up DS's old stuff and organizing to help make moving in October easier (we're moving to another city in the region but this is our 4th year in a row moving and I'm getting tired of it lol). My H took them and DS to the bike path on the river front to get them out of my hair for a while

We are on our way to a cabin for a couple of days. My son gets carsick, and I'm sitting back here just waiting with a towel... Thankfully, he fell asleep. 🙏🏻
