Does anyone else have a major thumb sucker on their hands? Or no bc of pacis? Baby I found his thumb about a week ago and he's either on the boob or sucking his thumb with the loudest little lip smacking sounds. It's so loud haha. He's always sucking on something!

Ridley sucks on her first two fingers, not her thumb, but yeah. Her hand is always in her mouth. Lately her new thing is trying to suck on a finger while she's nursing. Hurts like a bitch.

I didn't realize i needed to adjust my carseat and poor babe has been squished. Mom of the year over here
We didn't know to change either and just did it a month or so ago. Poor girl was so squished!
I haven't adjusted yet but DS doesn't seem overly squished (which makes me wonder if he was too loose before...) but he's such a happy car seat kiddo right now I'm not inclined to mess with it... 😕
I was so worried about another super late night because all her naps today have been about an hour or two later than normal, but she stayed up after her 3p-ish feed, skipped a nap, and is now back on track for her normal (and usually longest) 4p nap! Hopefully this means good things. H and I really need an early night tonight.
As for the car seat, we're already on the biggest slot on our seat. Hopefully she doesn't get too much taller too soon! I really don't want to have to lug around a convertible car seat when I have to take the taxi to my appointments!

Lo usually sucks on his index finger and thumb and leaves him middle finger resting on his cheek with his ring and pinky finger tucked under. It's quite charming! I'll have to get a picture.
Yay, correction, it was more like 5.5-6oz. I feel better about that.
Of breastmilk? I have never given DD that much when I'm gone. Should I be making bigger bottles? Max I give is 4 oz.
Of breastmilk!! No, I don't expect him to need more than 4.5-5oz!! I somehow feel better bout 5.5-6oz. But she's been instructed to start with 4.5 from now on.

We pretty much only use the pacifier for sleep. When he's awake and wants to gnaw on something, it's usually his hands or a toy of some sort. Pretty sure if I didn't provide those options, he would be sucking his thumb. He has found his thumbs here and there.
DS1 seems to be getting getting sick with a cold or sinus infection. My allergies have been awful too, and I feel like I may have it. Then the baby was coughing tonight. I really hope we don't all get sick right as I'm back to work and DH has to go out of town next week!
DH was super helpful last week. Then he had Monday off and I asked him to wait for a utility guy and clean the house. I got home and the house was the same disaster I'd left it in, he said he wasn't going to cook dinner, so I scrounged for food and later he cooked himself dinner, making more of a mess. I was so annoyed and asked him what he did all day and he said he waited for the utility guy! Because all he could literally do all day was wait? He later said he actually worked from home all day responding to emails. He was in a really bad mood due to work stress on his day off, but he was being a huge jerk and we were on the verge of fighting all evening. This morning he texted me a truly heartfelt apology acknowledging it's not ok to let his work stress impact his family. I'm pretty pissed at his work, as they decided to have a last minute meeting that will last more than 8 hours, an hour away and it goes past daycare time. As of last night, they hadn't even determined which day it would be, tomorrow or Thursday, and one of those days is DS1's school open house. It was bad enough only one of us was able to go due to not having a sitter, but now neither one of us will be able to go.

Which car seat do you all have and how did you adjust? I have the Chicco key fit 30 and I'm starting to notice L seems to barely fit in there. I probably need to somehow adjust soon too!
Uterine fibroids (removed by robotic myomectomy 11/14) and past removal of L ovary/tube d/t ovarian torsion (4/99). New diagnosis of endometriosis (5/15)

L had an awful night last night! I put her down at 10:45 and she had 3 wake ups before 1:30. Every time, I nursed her and then rocked her back to sleep before putting her back in the PnP. She would wake up immediately and start whining and flailing her arms and legs in the Merlin suit (which is actually a really funny sight but not cute when it happens 3 times before 1:30am). Eventually she was down at 1:45. Woke up at 4, ate again. Down at 5 and then up again at 8. I so hope we don't have a repeat of this tonight! I'm inclined to blame leap 4 since people have said it's been pretty awful for them.
I've tried napping during the day but we're having some construction done outside today (repair of some dry rot in the wooden panels on the sides of the house). Somehow thankfully L is napping just fine through all the noise! But sleeping at night is too much to ask of her apparently.

Another random- I feel so "behind" when I see that 4 month stat thread! L will just barely be turning 3 months tomorrow. I think she's probably the youngest baby of M16 (if I'm not mistaken?).

I have a KeyFit too. If you flip it over you in the back you will see the metal hook thingy(don't know what it's called) with the straps attached to it. You just take the straps off and thread them through the slot above the current one and reattach. Your instructions will be able to explain it better. Haha

Argh, DW put a too small diaper on DD before putting her to bed then shrugged before going downstairs to bed. Gee, thanks... I'm the one who's going to have to deal with the MOTN leaky diaper because you couldn't reach down and grab a size 2 baby dry. This is not rocket science... ironically, she's a rocket scientist.

Thank you, I haven't looked at the back of the seat but I think you explained it pretty well! I'll look at the instructions though. I've always been super lazy about reading the instructions to any of the baby items.

Would he have eaten that much of he wasn't hungry though?
The good news - A doesn't have pink eye, just a clogged tear duct that has cleared with massage.
The bad news - J is having asthma issues tonight. If he needs another dose of albuterol before 11pm the on call nurse from our doctor's office wants us to take him to the ER.

FX J is alright and you don't have to take him to the ER.

He's teething, so eating is very soothing to him. Not the actual act of getting food, but rather the sucking on a pacifier or bottle nipple or my boobs. He enjoys the comfort. He had a massive tummy ache this afternoon followed by the biggest shit he has had yet! I'm pretty sure it was just a touch more than he needed.
