You have inspired me to research this more. Because I am getting desperate! So I'm reading all about how nighttime breastmilk is different than daytime breastmilk. We have been exclusively pumping and slowly transitioning to breastfeeding but is going really slow. When I pump I put the newest milk and back and so it actually probably ends up being that she gets my pumped milk from earlier in the day at night and then the next day she gets my milk from middle of the night pumping during the day. Wonder if this is why she sleeps better during the day?
To the idea of nursing more often I've been trying to do the opposite because the LC said she needs to get used to getting the "3 course meal" and not just "snacking on appetizers all day" aka only getting that early skim milk and not the fattening milk. Ugh what's the right answer?!
I only had one who got herself on the 3 hour feed schedule early, and she refused to cluster feed. But some people manage to feed their kids whenever the parents want and it somehow works.
I haven't done any research into this or even heard of it before last week, but my LC said she doesn't recommend Babywise and has read some bad things about it (from the POV of a breastfeeding mom).
