LO's first day at the new daycare was great. No tears at drop off and didn't want to leave when I picked him up. They also send out a daily "Today We..." With pictures and a little narrative. So cute!!
Alright wise mamas, give me your best overnight diaper tricks. Lo has been waking up wet in the morning at least a couple times a week and I'm over all the sheet changes and laundry. He's leaking out of the top of his diaper. We use cloth during the day, but disposables at night. Dh seems to think it'll get better once we stop the bedtime bottle, but lo is so used to it in his routine I'm not sure how to stop that either. So basically any diaper or bottle advice you have, I'll gladly take!
laceysbryan glad lo's first day went so well! Their daily newsletter sounds cute.
ashlantic, I had this problem with LO to for a while I started making sure the tabs were tight and also sometimes I will tuck the top of the front side of the diaper in, to create a lip kind of...LO is a belly sleeper most of the night and he moves a lot... I think that was also the time we changed to the pampers cruisers which have helped a lot. Good Luck
I just want to start with I FING HATE MOTHER NATURE AND PERIODS!!!! That is all
No actually it isn't but on top of having a stupid kidney infection/possible stone I have to get my period this morning... and no less it had to start 1 hour before the alarm goes off....then when I got up for the day I felt super nauseated and LO was super cranky this morning when I woke him...bottom line today SUCKS!!! I actually got up on time for work and thought I would be on time to work but no LO had a different idea..at least I am off tomorrow... and my countdown to Disney is 58 days!!!

We have this problem too sometimes. Not to point the finger, but I usually notice it on nights that either our sitter or DH was the one to put on LO's diaper before bed. Sometimes they don't pull the side tabs around far enough or don't pull the sticky tabs tight enough. Last night I did his diaper, and this morning when he woke up his diaper was crazy soaked/heavy, but none of it had leaked through.
You could also consider putting a cloth diaper cover over the disposable at night. I have heard that this works pretty well.
I've been getting home earlier from work thanks to my new job and better commute! But it's causing some issues with little man. I can't come home too early because if I do and he's still eating dinner with his sitter, he immediately starts crying and won't eat any more because he just wants me to pick him up. But I don't want to come home too late and miss his bedtime.
Last night I got home while he was in the bathtub upstairs. I snuck in as quietly as possible through the front door but he heard me and started crying really piteously, yelling "Mama! Mama!" again and again. It's heartbreaking! And then he wouldn't let his sitter do anything else; only I could dry him, dress him, brush his teeth, etc. I obviously don't mind, and in fact love doing these things! But it is kind of funny that I'm paying the sitter to do it but he won't let her lol

dashook Leo only prefers me when he's sleepy. He's back to being a daddy's boy. Even when he's looking at fotos he'll point to DH and say "papa" each and every time. Nevermind that I'm right there next to him.
babyw15 thanks! I'll have to try that tonight. Lo is a belly sleeper too. Sorry you're still feeling so rough, that sucks. Hope you feel better soon. ourcrazynavylife have a safe flight home! And thanks for the wool tip, I'll have to look into it. dashook thanks! We use mainly pockets during the day, but I wonder if an unstuffed one would work the same as a cover. littlelion I've got a daddy's boy too. Does not care at all if I come and go, but loses his mind when dh tries to leave.
Spent the morning at the library. They have a nice little play area that lo likes. He was excited to pick out new books to check out; the whole way to the library he kept saying "New, new, new." He got tired at the end and started melting down. Learning to wait your turn for a toy is a hard lesson. And I think he thought the librarian was taking his books away when we took them to the counter to check out. He was pouting until she gave him the books back. He insisted on carrying his own book bag. The librarians were all cracking up at my tiny little guy dragging his library bag around.
Trying to swap out the bedtime bottle for a small snack instead. Let's see how this goes.
Good luck!
It went ok! Halfway through his snack he asked for his bottle, but I reminded him he's a big boy now, etc. He grumbled for a couple minutes but that was it.
You guyz. Shooting in the parking garage where my husband works. He missed it by just a few minutes. He has to go back in in an hour and they haven't found the guy. Prayers please.

Hope he's ok. Was it random?
Still no information except that a man shot a female. They aren't releasing if an employee was involved, or if it was random or targeted. I drove my H to work and plan to do so for awhile. It's just nauseating!
