Finally made it through the ENT and cruised through CFA, now waiting for an adenoid x ray. Strange though it may sound, I am hoping his adenoids are enlarged bc that's an easy fix

Hi ladies!
I am sorry i have been absent and i have not read this thread yet, but i have a question and need thoughts and opinions and experience.
So i had a CS (july 25th) and am pretty sure i got AF on Saturday. Just now i was out for a walk and soaked through a night time pad. It was, excuse the pun, a bloody mess. Through the pad through my jeans and what not. The last couple of times i went to the bathroom i passed clots. I am just freaking out a bit. I never bled like this with the CS or with other AFs. My midwife said AF would be heavy. But could this be normal? It just happened so i don't really know how the rest of the day will go or what not. Of course my dr is on holidays and its off hours now. Opinions please!

When you have a 1-month well-check, do you also have a 2-month? We had a 2wk appt and dr said she didn't need to see him again until 2-months when he will be vaccinated.
Every pedi has a different schedule. We have a ton of checks at ours, some that others don't have.

Re: checkups - we had one at 4 days, then a week later, then another week later (since he hadn't been past birth weight yet) and we will have one at one month and at two months.
I'm feeling down today. Last night went okay - we really just had one MOTN wake up, but DS had nursed almost constantly between 6pm and midnight, and I think I still feel run down from it. Then he slept from about 12:30-4:15, and then from 5am-6:45. I had DH take him into the living room when I was done feeding around 7:15, but I still heard him fussing and eventually crying, so I didn't really get anymore sleep. In total, I got a little over four hours, which doesn't seem to make up for the 6 hours of nursing. I'm also annoyed at DH (who is WFH today) even though he hasn't really done anything to warrant it. It's not his fault, but I'm just feeling resentful of that fact that he can't calm down DS when he's hysterical. Hysterical = he's hungry. He's hungry = he's my responsibility. I just keep trying to remind myself that SOMEDAY he won't want to eat every 2 hours, and his dad will be able to entertain him.
On the bright side, DS has gained 12oz since last week! He's been an eating machine, so I'm happy to know that he's getting enough.
Both girls' naps lined up and I am tired and not motivated to do the usual chores. I will tell H the baby was awake the whole time. 😉 At least I managed to bring in the garbage cans!
hummingbird125 This too shall pass! You'll get in your groove and figure out what routine works best for you. And then it will all change anyway!! They're not so little for long. Sometimes that was kind of my mantra to get through the tough nights.

hollyberry after S1, my first period was super heavy. I don't recall clots but it was super heavy and painful. But if you're concerned I'd call the doctor. He/she surely must have someone one call.

I'm pretty sure that's what I say any day I'm too lazy to get stuff done! "Oh she was sooooo fussy today"

hummingbird125 - DD1 was exactly like that. By 11 weeks I remember realizing with a start that BFing was suddenly fast and easy (and had been for weeks) and I no longer hated it. It feels like an eternity when you are mired in it, but a lot less looking back.
That said, do what you need to do to get through these weeks!

Woop woop! I got like an hour and a half straight of sleep because baby actually slept in the bassinet for awhile! So make that 3 hours, broken, in 40+ awake. Hahaha but we get to go home soon.
hollyberry my periods have gotten worse after each pregnancy. I legit thought I was dying when I got mine this time around. Very heavy, lots of little clots and tons of cramping. It was short though, only 3 days. If you soaking through a heavy/overnight pad in one hour I would get medical attention. Hope it gets better soon.
I would say i soaked one in a hour, it was like a gush, all at once. It did happen before pregnancy too. But i don't know how much came since i always got to the bathroom for when it happened. Everything (other then the hospital is closed now. I'll call my midwife tomorrow an see what she says. So far it has just been the once. And i feel fine other then just nervous about it. We don't have nurse lines as far as i know. So unless i go to the hospital i am kinda stuck atm. With the twins that is not exactly easy to do. But i don't think its quite at that point yet. We will see how the night goes.
Thanks for all your experience ladies. Since af for me is typically heavey and i should expect heavier then that then for the first one back, i think i am ok. At least i hooe so.
