I'm busy up trying to stay awake while feeding. We go out of town tomorrow to watch DH's college football team play and taking DD. DH thinks she will love it. I don't think she will enjoy sitting at the stadium but we will see.

westiemom we took A to a homecoming game at our state university when he was 12 weeks and he loved it! The only reason we left at halftime was because it was a freak 85o day- afternoon game- and the sun was beating down on our side of the stadium. We all got really hot. Otherwise we could have stayed even longer! My best advice is be mentally prepared to leave before the end of the game. Or if that's not an option for your H take 2 cars.
L slept from 7:30 to 3:30am. 8hr!!! I have to go read on my book bc there is something about the 3am wake up that is a "natural wake up time" and that at around 4mo we start to ignore and after 3-4 nights it changes to 5am for a solid 10hr sleep, eat, 2-3more hours of sleep. I can't wait.
westiemom, get her some earplugs, just for her comfort. You can use paper tape to keep them in place!

She's got adorable noise cancelling head phones she doesn't mind wearing (we have been practicing).

Olivia's naps have gone to hell the last two days. They are way to short. Plus, when she's awake, she is so needy! My house is a wreck and I haven't made food in two days. I can't find a chance to get anything done!

Has anyone else noticed a loss of appetite during leaps? My app says we still have 3 days until the 4th leap starts but yesterday and today he's only been taking 3oz at a time and going 4/5 hours in-between. Definitely not anywhere near his daily minimum. I offered him a bottle before his nap which was 3 hours since he ate last and he pushed it away after eating 1oz. I'm so frustrated. He seems totally happy though, no teeth, no illness, sleep is still normal.
We've officially given up on trying to get R to sleep on her own and just brought her into bed with us at the beginning of the night. Ugh. I really didn't want to do this, but I couldn't do a third night staying up until 1:30-2a waiting for her to fall asleep. So much for comfortable sleep. Hopefully this doesn't last long.

DD lost TV time on Tues and Wed so this morning she was very enthusiastic about watching a "show." She chose to watch YouTube musical nursery rhymes. It was torture. Then the baby spit up all over himself and his outfit, prompting the need for an unplanned morning bath. To top it off, during the ride to daycare, DD wants to know how our friends who are two women have a kid since there is no dad and if the foster kids whom they have at their house, (who are visiting us this weekend) don't have parents because they are dead 😐 I don't mind these diverse discussions but all of this occurred before my morning coffee.
DS starts DC today. I was completely okay and handling being back at work for the last week. Today I teared up on the way in.
After Tuesday night, I felt pretty comfortable with the idea of moving him into his own room within the next couple of weeks. After last night.. not so much. He was up every 15 mins or so in his room, and every hour or so once we moved him into ours. So, so, so tired.

Definitely! We went through that for about 2 weeks. I had to feed her in a dark room while rocking RIGHT when she woke up and was sleepy (I didn't talk to her or turn on the light until after she ate). She is back to normal now and eating a ton.

Hugs. At least you got some sleep! Once rested, hopefully you can work on getting her back in her own bed.

I'm PWing it up this AM! So DD woke up 25 mins in to her nap (like yesterday). She was so grumpy yesterday so today I decided to ignore her and leave her in her crib. She chatted happily for 35 mins (she loves to squeal now) and fell back to sleep! Parenting win!

We are finally rearranging the living room. We've decided to not spend money on a sectional right now in the interest of saving $$$. I'm trying to get the baby to nap and my keeps coming in and giving me status updates. I'm anxious because he tends to make things awkwardly arranged but gets upset if I try to give suggestions lol... I have a vision in mind but I know he's probably doing the opposite.
Also he keeps coming in and distracting the baby lol

k3am, I think the post work reality hit me the next week too. I hope the sleeping gets better and that your run tonight helps you feel better.
westiemom, have you tried babywearing? DS always falls asleep in the carrier even when he is fighting it otherwise...and I can usually get a few things done that way.

I tried that but dude is wide awake when I go to get him. I might try to rock him back to sleep and feed him then. We just came back from a walk and he started crying a few houses from home so I figured he was hungry. Guzzled 2oz and then he was done.
Sorry for the tough eating/ sleeping day! Today is parent night at school so we have an extra long day. We have musical practice until 4:30, then quick trip home and back to school from 6:30-9:00. Blah.

I just realized that I never closed the clasps on my nursing bra after last pump session. Thank goodness I have a tank top on under my shirt or there could have been a wardrobe malfunction during my meeting with my boss!

We love baby wearing but DD won't nap in it anymore. She is way to curious! She finally took an awesome nap after she pooped (3 hrs). Thank God!

I think our babies are getting to the FOMO stage lol DS refused to nap while we were out last night and he's been fighting naps all day because DH is home and DS jsut watches him and whines when he leaves the room 😜
