My head feels like it's about to explode, MH didn't sleep at all, we need to leave in 15 minutes, oh it must be my first day back to work. Talk me through it ladies, I've been assigned to an ESL inclusion kindergarten class. I'm excited & nervous. I've only done inclusion once before & it was 4th grade & I chose my partner. This could be great or not.
Today is just a setup day. Well, basically I'm moving all my crap from one room to another. That is as long as my principal didn't change my assignment.
I love September! It's still warm, yet it's cool enough that you can go outside and not die from the heat/humidity!
I am working a half day today and then I have pt. h told me to take some time to myself today since yesterday was super rough with LO. Temper tantrums galore!
How many esl students will you have, stinybean? I had one esl student before, in my 4th grade class, and it was tricky to reach him at times, but I feel like we developed a good rapport and he learned more with me than the teacher I took over for.
So, my child grew up in one day. Yesterday was his last day in the infant room at day care - next week he officially moves to the toddler room. Then, we went out for dinner and he managed to wiggle out of his high chair (FFThC: we did not strap him in since he's usually 100% fine in them and likes to get in/out in between apps/dinner, etc a lot), so the waitress offered a booster seat, which he LOVED, and he ate shrimp for the first time - I think shellfish was one of the last "first" foods we had to offer him. Also loved it. But where the hell is my baby?? Luckily this morning he woke up just in time for me to get in some snuggles while he started breakfast. And it's the last day of work for me before a four-day weekend - yay! Happy Thursday, everyone!

Last year we got snow on the 6th or so, so needless to say, I'm not sure that I'm excited about September! Lots of fun things happening this month though.
DD1 turns 3 next week! Everyone says that 3 is so much worse than 2, so I'm concerned... seeing as how last night she managed to flood the upstairs bathroom and made it rain downstairs into our kitchen.... what a mess! We managed to get it all cleaned up quickly with minimal damage, but disappointed in myself for how I reacted out of anger. It was my own fault for leaving her unsupervised for 3 minutes.

**TW** Yesterday AF arrived, I spent most of the day school supply shopping with all three kids, and I was kinda nostalgic/sad seeing my friends from a different town (where DS1 was born) posting cute pics of all the boys starting Kindergarten together this year. Then I got news from my mom that my grandpa had finally passed away (dementia took him a long time ago, but still sad).

DH and I are going shopping this weekend to try and hit up some labor day sales. We need a king size bed (us + dog + 2 babies = no fit in queen) and a new glider for the baby. And then Texas has their season opening game on Sunday, so DH is very excited.
Lo has become obsessed with books the last week or two. It's super cute and I love it, because I hope my boys love reading as much as I do one day. But oh my gosh sometimes it's too much lol I think I read the same touch and feel book 100 times yesterday.
B only likes to read the first 2 pages and then move onto another book.. haha.
DD1 loves books and would be happy if we'd spend all day reading them. I'm hoping that she gets some new ones for her birthday for my sake! SaveSave

I was so bored with our books too and then we started going to the library every Saturday and checking out a new batch every 2-3 weeks. I have loved getting some of the books I enjoyed as a kid. All the Berenstain Bears books, Little Critters, every single Richard Scarry book we can find. My mind is blanking right now, but all sorts of great ones! It makes reading time so much better for me. And the other great thing about it is if there is a book you find you hate to read, it goes back in 2-3 weeks and you never have to see it again!
+1 to LO loving books. I've made a game of it to see how many books I can memorize. So close to memorizing Little Blue Truck.
Last day of work for me before the weekend. DH actually has off until Tuesday, which never happens. Currently trying to think of things we can do this weekend without packing to much in. Would spending 4 days on the couch be acceptable?
I'm so sorry for your loss wegrowsheep. Today will be a quiet day, nothing is planned. I feel like E has changed so much over the last week or so. He still isn't walking but he is becoming more adventurous and curious every day. Right now he's climbing on my back because we did piggy back rides yesterday and he loved it. I hope Thursday is a good day for all of you ladies!
Took C to his 15 month appointment today. Appointment was at 9:30, but I wasn't brought back until 10! Apparently the receptionist I registered with didn't make that we were there. I spent 20 minutes chasing C through the building, and another 10 holding a kicking and screaming child. I was about to walk out and just reschedule because I was so pissed when a nurse finally came and asked who I was waiting to be seen by. She went and found a nurse for our pediatrician to take us back. This is the 2nd time this has happened, thankfully he was really little and in an infant carrier the first time.
I'm super excited that it's September and that PSLs are back!
I got into work super early this morning because I have to leave early to run a wedding rehearsal. Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I don't usually get excited about weddings that I coordinate but tomorrow's wedding is at a winery in town so I don't have a commute and I also don't have to be there until 2:30 so I get to spend the morning with Gianna. AND this wedding is going to be awesome, I know it. The Father of the Groom has some surprises planned, including a flash mob which I think the Bride and Groom are really going to love.
And I'm just super excited about the long weekend ahead!! We're going to start packing and painting at the new house. And there's a wine festival we might go to on Sunday.
Also, my H and I were in kind of a funk for a few days. But we had a really nice night last night and I feel like we've finally got back in our groove. I'm just in a really good mood overall, yay!
