I had my gestational diabetes 1 hour glucose test yesterday and had a voicemail from the doctors office first thing this morning. My test came back at 139 and they require 130 to pass. I have to go for the 3 hour screen next week (and to be honest) I'm freaking out. I did not have GD with our DD, so this is much different for me. Didn't even have to do the 3 hour test last time either. Hoping for the best but DREADING the next test.
Any STM+ have to do the 3 hour test? Am I crazy for panicking? Just ready for it to be OVER!

lola, I have a 12/3 due date, I can see myself doing Santa pics at a small location but not mall Santa pics.
This is baby 3 for us and I just don't imagine I'll be staying home long after her birth with 2 big kids already involved in activities. However, I'm going to try to limit exposure my wearing her or keeping her in her car seat and covered.

harfamilyof3, Did you eat a lot of carbs yesterday? I was told by several people to limit my carb intake the day before the test?? I have mine on the 15th - I passed the first test with G so I'm hoping I do this time too. Good luck w/ the 3 hour!
Uggh, I am so done with heat. We had an assembly today and there was no ac. I got so hot standing there I had to sit on the ground like the kids. I'm so done sweating through multiple layers of clothes and the crotch sweat. Bring on fall and winter!!

Yes! We have much cooler weather these last couple days and it feels wonderful.

Naming this baby is pure torture. Sometimes I feel settled on a first name, but we don't have a middle name to go with it. Then I waver on the first name and drive DH nuts because he loves it. I'm making myself crazy.

It's so hard! The people throwing my showers asked to put the name on the invitations and its makes me so anxious! I'm not ready to share it yet. And I really don't want people putting it on Facebook.

I don't even mind sharing, we just don't have a name picked out. We used our top choices already and I don't want to feel like this baby is getting ripped off by getting the "reject names". It's make me indecisive.

I totally feel you on this. For the last 4 months or so, H and I agreed on names. Then last week I started getting all these second thoughts and told him that I want to reopen the discussion. He thinks I'm nuts.
crimpgirl, I figured it was popular but also probably a nightmare! I'm wondering if there's another option that's not at the mall we can explore, or find a mall that takes appointments. I'll have to do some research. I know some doctors offices do holiday photos, and that would be much calmer.
I'm also on the "got no name" bandwagon... ugh. It's so hard. We have a few that we'd like if it's a girl, but NONE if it's a boy. I had liked Grady, however our daughters name is Gemma and DH doesn't want two "G" names bc if we have a 3rd he'd feel obligated (I guess as would I) to name them something with a G.
