DH had to work tonight so it's just me and the dictator. I honestly don't mind because I usually do all the motn stuff anyway. I'm not looking forward to my dentist appointment today but I am looking forward to getting out of the house!
I think I napped to much during the day because I felt crappy and now I can't sleep!
But I did order thank you notes and probably will order announcements tomorrow. I thought I'd better do thank you notes first since people sent flowers and gifts already! Oh and I thought of something else, my son (2 years 9 months) has started trying to wear my nursing pillow, its so cute! He also dragged Eeyore over and put him on top of the pillow.
Also baby was cluster feeding all day yesterday. My nips hurt. And she was fussy unless I was holding her. I'm assuming 3 week growth spurt. Yay.
My mom offered to babysit the girls so DH and I could go out to dinner on Saturday. I'm trying to be excited but it's hard when I'm so tired that the thought of going out seems like too much work.

Iced coffee sounds fantastic luckypenny. I wish there was a DD within walking distance to my house.
I think I finally got E back to sleep after his 4:30 bottle and now I have to go pump. Yay. I'm afraid that the minute I leave the room and turn the pump on, he'll wake up.
grumpycat88, I thought of the Nirvana song when I read the post title.
DS2 was a sweet boy last night / this morning and only woke up to eat and then ate a little and went back to sleep. But I think I need to start pumping during the night as much as I'd rather sleep because I feel a little engorged, and I know it would help my supply to pump. When is someone going to invent a pump you can use while lying down in bed?
Idk if the baby blues have finally lifted or what but I've been feeling so GOOD the last day or so. I've been in a good mood, haven't cried or teared up and am just completely filled with love for my baby and husband. Hopefully this mood sticks around.
I've been trying to hold out in this until the unpopular opinion thread on Thursday but I just can't.
Fuck Pampers. I know a lot of you like them but my kid peed through 6 diapers in the last 24 hours. I'm out of clothes for him, I've been peed on enough to last a lifetime and I'm over it.

I'm not a huge fan either. I don't like how the mesh sticks to LOs butt.
Every single time I ask DH to change or hold the baby, he sarcastically says no. Every. Single. Time. I know he's just joking but it's really starting to make me feel guilty asking him to help. By the time he gets home from work at 6, I need some time to myself without a baby in my arms.

I don't like pampers either. I don't like the mesh and DD poops out the back all the time. We've never had a leak with huggies. Plus they're cheaper.
We love Pampers so far. Never had an issue with them and still use their version of pull ups for the boys. We did swaddlers until size 2 and then baby dry. But I fully support you using whatever diapers work for you.
We used Gerber formula last time but when I brought up using it this time my LC acted like I slapped her so we are using Enfamil. Is branding that important? Ugh.
It doesn't help for DH to do the feeding at 5 if he parks A next to me wide awake and grunting at 6 so he can shower. I might as well have gotten up an hour ago.
@saiven, we had one pack of pampers, and I hated them. You're not alone. The moment he peed a drop, DS would cry for a change. We use huggies when we're not using cloth. (The Winnie the Pooh on them cracks up FI as an added bonus)
I'm flying solo today for the first time while FI is back at school for the day (3 hours away...). Someone hold me.

ladyprof, I don't think so. We're using Enfamil. When we were at the hospital and said we're FF-ing, they just asked if we knew what brand we wanted to start with and said they're all comparable. All formulas have to meet the same federal standards, anyway. They gave us Enfamil since that's what I said I wanted to try to start. He tolerates the newborn well, so we're sticking with it but may try the target generic of it in a few months. We tried the Costco brand for a week (identical to Similac Advanced), and it gave him horrible constipation and gas that drops wouldn't help with so we're sticking with Enfamil.
and a formula PSA for all who use it: Target has the "buy 3 tubs, get a $10 gift card" sale going on. From their website, Enfamil, Similac, and Gerber are all eligible. It looks like any of them, including the supplemental ones, will get you the deal

Beau fit into his first cloth diaper!!! On another note, is it too late to go back to sleep? After driving on glare ice yesterday to be told DS2 might have mild to moderate hearing loss and they want to reevaluate and confirm in a month. I don't even want to get up to bring the older two to daycare. No ambition in this house.

MIA yesterday due to getting my ass kicked by my toddler and baby. It got so bad that at 2:30 I called DH and told him to cut out early and rescue me. We somehow ended up at Chuck E Cheese for dinner(reward bad behaviour much?) My one victory for the day was I nursed in public for the first time and managed to feed my baby and not flash anyone.
Today is off to a much better start. I've had 2 cups of coffee, baby is sleeping, and toddler is watching Curious George. Let's hope these kids can be cool today.

I love the Huggies Pooh Bear!
You can do this. You and J are going to have a great day!

Sleep away. I try to get B to sleep until 10 everyday. Some days it even works!

We use Huggies too! They used Pampers at the hospital and we hated them. Of course, they only had size one of our 7 lb baby so that probably didn't help. But we use Huggies and have no problems.

We're almost done with our Pampers newborn stash. Tried out our cloth diapers last night - LO poosplosioned the first, and pee leaked through another. I need to go through the covers are adjust the sizing.

Love tit for the first cloth diaper! Colt fits into his now too and I can't stand the cuteness! LoL
My husband wanted to have sex last night and I really didn't feel like it, but I was gonna just do it anyway. Every freaking time he went to kiss me or touch me, the baby started screaming. So sex never happened.
shannjohnston, do you have NB sized covers or just OS ones? DS doesn't fit into the OS yet, but he fits in NB at 9 lbs. I remember the CD-ing board mentioning most babies won't fit into a OS properly until around 12 lbs.

I like pampers, and I used to hate huggies on my other kids, but I prefer huggies on Liam. I think I'm gonna give honest company a whirl though.
I'm up with baby. He's decided 5 am was a good time to be awake for a while.
I'm going to attempt to go to MOMS group today. I hope I can get both Littles ready and out the door by 910 am. I also hope Owen doesn't have a melt down when I drop him off in the nursery.
