gratefulgirl Sorry for the bad day. Hope YH isn't too hard on himself. @suesposa I told DH the day we left the hospital that I didn't want him to get bigger! Lol
Pedi looked at DS's belly button today and all is good! He has also gained 12oz since Monday! What!? Probably because he eats every hour! The nurse asked if my nipples had fallen off yet? Lol!
Eta: Bilirubin levels are down so no more bili blanket!! I'm so happy!

gratefulgirl I just noticed your mention of concern over social services. Anecdote but H fell down the stairs w S1 when he was a few weeks old. I was at the store and in my way home. I got home to H unable to sit up and laying at the bottom of he stairs, holding S the best he could. S was screaming and gasping for air, H was out of it. We had just moved to the area, I knew no one so called 911 because how in the world would I move H and was worried S1 would stop breathing when trying to drive to the ER.
Two ambulances and four police cars were at my house in less than three minutes. I was desptately trying to feed S to calm him but he couldn't catch his breath let alone eat. H started puking violently by kept saying he was fine and to check out S first. They asked us a few questions but the police quickly left once EMTs out both of my boys in ambulances. We didn't hear from social services ever.
Turns out S just had bruised ribs from the fall; H had a concussion and a very bruised back but they both were ultimately fine. Four and a half years later I give him a hard time about throwing out kid down the stairs but ultimately we got very lucky they both were fine.
I suspect social services is only called when you provide a crappy back story for what happened or try to cover it up or lie. I doubt they have time to investigate every accident, particularly when baby ends up unscathed except a bruise. Hugs because I know it's stressful regardless! Hope you are getting sleep tonight!
annbuhdancountrycotton I tried both those places! I feel like I've looked everywhere. My mom asked if maybe DD put it in the trash. I don't think she did...we may look in our garbage bin just in case. Yuck.
Ds1 once hid a credit card under an area rug. He also likes to put things in the compartment of his ride-on car or in a lunch box/bag that's sitting around. It's so frustrating trying to find things they misplace!
I'll also admit here that sometimes I struggle with the idea of my child becoming semi-autonomous. I know its quite a while away, but he already doesnt seem to really care about my existence beyond keeping him fed, so I assume it only gets worse from here.
I just want a snuggly baby forever and always.
Separation anxiety kicks in around 6 months and then they FREAK if you walk away from them, so you have that to look forward to
gratefulgirl, I'm so sorry that happened. Accidents happen b fell off the bed when she was tiny. I felt terrible, but she was fine. I didn't tell DH until a few weeks later after a few drinks.
LO had a docs appt today. He has "penile adhesions" and we have to take him to a pediatric urologist. She said his reflux and gas issues are most likely overactive letdown/he eats so fast. He's up to 9lbs 15oz, so even with him throwing up he's gaining weight. She said his weight gain is "tremendous". It's all in his chunky cheeks!
