cbowl We had a 2014 Ford Escape and loved it! But it would be a tight fit for 2 car seats and not be able to fit any other passengers in the back seat. We just traded it in In June for a Honda Odyssey and for someone who was totally against a minivan...it's amazing! We fit our 3 car seats plus have tons of cargo space and fit 2-3 passengers, in addition to DH and I, comfortably. It's amazing.
DH and DS and I went to a parade this morning. That was fun and DS was relatively good. DS is now 1hr 45 mins to his nap. He's a horrible napper and could wake up at any time. I got in an hour nap while he was sleeping. I could count on one hand how many times I've been able to nap this pregnancy. Once he's up we're going to putz around the mall
DH and I got a babysitter to go on probably the last date night before baby. I'm 38w today

Hi guise!
singingsea come on baby! All the labor vibes your way!
LadyNymeria oh your dog is so cute! That's sweet that you guys get him a steak for his bday.
merryrissmas happy bday to your daughter! I hope you DH feels better soon.
cassey910 those pics are great! I'm still trying to decide what to wear for ours.
mc13 I'm glad to hear you like the odyssey. The lease on my accord is up in a year and I want a minivan so bad! I feel like it'll be such a pain to not be able to fit another passenger in the back with both car seats there.
We went to target this morning and used our completion discount and I finally signed up for a red card and got an extra 5% off. I got a registry scanner and scanned all the things! Tucks pads and colace are totally baby registry stuff, right? Lol we're gonna go to ikea after lunch for bookshelves for the boys room, pack our hospital bags and I'm going to clean the car seat this weekend. Shit is getting real!
serendipity731 do it! You won't regret it! The first time I was able to walk to the back of van to unstrap DH from his car seat and sit in the back and get him dressed for swim lessons while the car was running (lovely AC) it was love. You just can't beat the space and ability to walk around it. Plus the third row folds backwards too (towards you) and it makes an excellent changing area!
My only plans this weekend are to finish this LO's nursery. Our crib won't be here for another 2-4 weeks so it won't be completely done but at least I'll have somewhere to put everything

mc13, I'm starting to consider an odyssey for the next car.. We've been set on a pilot but unless we want to spend $$$ they don't have the captains chairs in the lower models. I'm not sure I'm ready for a minivan though!!!
@serendipity713, we put so much random stuff on our registry on that last trip - DH got some shorts and a water pik on ours along with some toys for DS!
Whew. Long day. Got the last of the stuff out of the den and MIL is working on taping the edges so she can paint all day tomorrow. We picked out some new light fixtures for that room and baby's room.
Tomorrow I'll start packing up the office stuff to move it downstairs. Hopefully that can be done by Monday evening and then we'll have all week to get baby's room finally done.
I reminded H that we needed to pick out a dresser. He asked why. *sigh* So that there's somewhere to put all her clothes and diapers and such. Unless he really wants everything to just be piled up in totes all over the room... He's so weird about this stuff. We picked out a new light fixture (not super important) but the dresser isn't necessary? Oy.
pismoduo my husband always ask why when I say we need a piece of furniture. He actually wouldn't care if everything was just thrown wherever. But then after I decorate and have it organized he is always like "this is nice, we have so much more room like this". Guys are funny.

Mine just changes his mind on the daily. We need one, we don't need one. He hates having stuff piled up everywhere, but he refuses to commit to a dresser. Save
Am I the only one who still hasn't packed my hospital bag?? I really need to do this.
You are not.
It does not help me that I am now officially scheduled for an induction prior to 40 weeks and am not likely to go into labor before then. But I have 2 goals for this week: Get the car seat installed and pack my hospital bag. Save
I think I'm going to go get a haircut today. I haven't had one since spring and my hair is getting out of control. Plus this way I can get it thinned a bit before it all starts coming out in clumps after I have the baby.
MIL is downstairs getting ready to paint the (soon to be) office. Hopefully that'll be done today, we can move all the office furniture down there tomorrow (yay for 3 day weekends) and then I can spend the rest of the week getting baby's room painted and decorated.

pismoduo a haircut is on my to do list for this week too. Also, I didn't lose too much hair after DS1, hopefully you'll have the same luck (and me too, this time)! I'm throwing in a pedicure too, it's been almost a year since I've had one 😳

I have super thick hair, and I tend to shed a lot normally anyway. But FX, because H gives me so much grief about the amount of my hair that he has to remove from the vacuum and from drains. LOL. Save

Nope, you're not the only one. I halfway packed my bag and the kids' big sister/big brother bags last weekend and haven't gone back to finish them yet, which I really should do in case things go sideways at my appointments this week and I end up in hospital or induced or something.

Ok we need a S'16 pact, all bags get packed TODAY!!
I have a bunch of things thrown on top of my bag, I just need to put them in and find a good checklist to go by. Even though I don't think I touched half of what was in my bag last time.

What did you put in the big brother and big sister bags? Are they just overnight bags?

Mine is kinda a work in progress. I keep thinking of things to add to it.
