So went and met up with 2 friends and their lil girls this morning at monkey Joe's (a bounce house place) and Addie had a blast. We then went to the beach, in the pouring rain. But it stopped within 30 minutes of being there. Witnessed a random wedding on the beach, caden loved the ocean (we couldn't keep him out) and had a great dinner.
tuscanlatte, I really wanted an American Girl doll when I was little. I used to get the magazines every month and I'd dream of buying all the things we could not afford. 16 year old me may have been a little jealous when my baby sister got one for Christmas one year...
I accidentally drank some of A's 50/50 breast milk/cow milk mixture (her cup was spilling and I licked it before it got on my new carseats) and it was nasty. This was hours ago and I can't get the taste out of my mouth. I know it's all in my head but yuck...how does she drink that stuff. In related news, I'm fairly confident my breastmilk is high lipase.
I am excited that we got our old house sold. Paying for rent on top of a mortgage was not enjoyable. DS woke up at 5 and is now back to sleep while I am here.
I think my kid actually likes me. He woke up at 6, I went in and told him not yet and laid him back down. He actually went back to sleep and we all just woke up at 8!

Aww. They are ridiculously expensive. I am glad it's not a thing to have one in Canada, because wow! Hundreds of dollars on a doll?
ETA: at the same time I completely get the idea. Matching clothes, I even saw a Williams Sonoma baking set and apron/hat for the doll and one for the kid. and I died at cuteness. But the price.
tuscanlatte, American Girl is stupid expensive, especially if you get all into it- I'm sure you saw the cafe, hair salon, etc. I had one when I was little and I saved every penny I got to order clothes and accessories from the catalog. My stepmom likes to spend gobs of money on frivolous stuff for my kids well before the age they can enjoy them. So of course DD1 not only got a Bitty Baby at 20 months, but also had a tea birthday party at the store. I'm sure that would be really cool for an older child, but it was completely lost on my 20 month old.
