blueinred mazal tov!! That name is so beautiful and meaningful. I also had a hard time with the actual bris part - glad you had an otherwise good experience!
Is a wubanub safe to use at night? Or is it a nono in the crib?
Like I don't get how that thing is safe? I use mine only in ergo because the elephant is large enough to keep it from falling out. But from everything I read it is safe to use. No concensus on crib use though. Go with what you are comfortable with. I know I am no help, sorry
I posted a pic of Baby I over on GKU's Grad Thread if you want to see!
She is beautiful!! Totally not relevant but what is on her blanket?
It's the symbol for The University of Pennsylvania. It's the hospital's gift to all new parents. The material is that awesome muslin stuff. I went to Penn for grad school so I love the blanket.

OK I thought it looked like a school thing. I love muslin blankets!
Hugs to everyone having a rough day! Today is okay here, just SO having more dental work done, so he is loopy and didn't sleep well, again. Sigh. I wish we had an answer to him not being able to shift his sleep schedule.
Oof. Just got back from my first adjustment with my new chiropractor. He went over my x-rays and I am allllll sorts of crooked. The good news is he thinks I'll start feeling a difference in about 3 weeks and I'll feel good in 3 months. I'm having a hard time holding DD and sitting up to feed her so the sooner the better!

Ugh I had a migraine today. I get one maybe every four to five years. Luckily the nanny was here with the big kids so M and I napped until drugs kicked in. Per usual my to do list will not be completed today. Oh well. One of these days I need to get in gear.
I feel for those that get them frequently. So so awful.

blueinred Mazel tov!! We had DD's simchat bat last Saturday and I also got super emotional and weepy while explaining the meaning of her name. I completely missed the aliyah with my husband though, because I was holding DS and he decided to start throwing a tantrum right at that moment.
shanny sending you all the good thoughts. joy I completely understand and sympathize - you will figure out the best way forward!

Mazal tov to you!! I think the Jewish tradition of imparting meaning and values in names is deeply moving. That was when I cried the most at the bris.
We met with the surgeon and he said that everything went very well, no complications, and pulmonary valve was spared. We peeked in on R in the room, but haven't gotten to go back in because there are still some evaluations going on.

Glad to hear all went well! And the FaceTime w/ your DD saying I love you got me all ready eyed!!!
I ran some errands solo today - driving for the first time since after having DD. It felt so weird to not be pregnant behind the wheel! On the way home, I was at a light where elementary school kids were boarding their busses home (today was the first day of school here) and I was bawling like a baby...just thinking about how that will be DD one day. Came home and told MH who then started to ugly cry and say "that's it - we're freezing our baby girl to be like this forever!"
Ok I feel stupid, but what exactly is colic? I know the definition is crying 3 hours a day, 3 days a week, for 3 weeks. I think we meet that definition, and people keep asking me if she's colicky. But ... What IS it? Like if your baby has colic, then what's wrong with them? I just don't get it.
