This is why Monday holidays are the BEST. Friday comes a day sooner than expected. It's like two holidays rolled into one.
Sneaking back in here - I haven't posted in forever, but H and I are TTC again so I found my way back to these boards. I currently live in France (moved here in February), so I'm usually way off because of time zone.
It's not even 11 and it's already hot and sticky. Sitting in the shade while lo plays with his water table. Even though I'm so ready for fall, we might as well make the best of these summer days. Besides that, we just have the usual post-weekend chores that never seem to get done during the weekend. I sorted through lo's clothes after buying him some fall stuff. The bonus of having a kid in the 7th percentile for height? I thought he'd grow way more than he did so most of the stuff he wore last fall/winter still fits! Score. Anyone else's toddler a mess after a long weekend? Lo is a monster today. So. Much. Whining.
littlelion good morning! @kaybeeknits welcome back! Good luck TTC!
Why is it that a cold always acts up the worst overnight? I was up 2-4 last night with my cough and super congested. I ended up going to the living room and watching the end of the batman vs superman movie that DH was watching. He couldn't sleep since he had slept most of the day.
Yesterday at my sister's house, my 4 yo nephew had a soccer ball that Leo wanted (even though there were other soccer balls). And it's me, Dh, 2 BIL and my brother watching Leo try to get the ball away. At one point Leo tackles my nephew and they get into a tussle on the ground. Luckily my nephew slides away and doesn't really fight. And leo doesn't do much hitting. Sigh, this kid. And he kept trying to follow the bigger kids who were playing upstairs in a bedroom. My baby is growing up so fast. Wants to be with the kid crowd and not the old adults.
Good Morning Ladies! I just sent DD off for her first day of preschool :sob:
I also went to the MFM last weeek because of the history of PTL and the blood sugar levels. He was awesome and has be hydrating with gatorade because my pancreas is in overdrive and producing too much insulin. He also said to eat whatever I wanted but just to make sure that I am getting plenty of protein. I have been feeling soooo much better! Even the MS is gone!
I've missed posting on here, I was just feeling so crappy that I couldn't come up with the energy to post, just LT.
ashlantic, My LO seems to be a mess during the long weekend. Score on the clothes fitting! littlelion, LO just full body tackled his sister the other day when she took a toy he was playing with. ourcrazynavylife, yay! GL, can't wait to hear how it goes! @kaybeeknits, Hi and GL TTC!
Good morning mommas! I think I might just make it through my long stretch at work LO got sick yesterday morning with hubby but was better last night... I need to try and sneak out of work today to see if I can find something for the baby to wear for the wedding.. I will have to drag myself to Target tomorrow to see what I can find for myself! Also I hope they have rooms left at the hotel because I waited until the last minute! If I don't make it back on here today hope everyone has a great 4 day week!
Took LO to story time this morning, but left after 10 minutes. She would not sit still, and kept stealing from the librarians. I want to stay and hope she gets it, and follows every one else's lead, but it's hard when 20 moms are staring at me to "control" my kid. I got a coffee and we went to Michael's for candy making stuff. When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to make chocolates and stuff and I used to help her. I was the official stick placer for lollipops. I'm thinking of doing that for the holidays this year. I'm practicing with dark chocolate bats in a silicone mold. I haven't tried this in 20+ years, so lets hope all goes well.
ourcrazynavylife yay! Good luck at your 1st appt! littlelion ugh, feel better! nemomof2 I'm glad you're feeling better! You had it rough. babyw15 good luck shopping. raven that is my lo too. He sits so well for stories at home, but he knows there's toys at storytime and that's what he tries to go for. Until we turn music on, then he sits down and refuses to dance. Thankfully our story times are a lot smaller, so I only have 5 or 6 other moms staring, but I get it. I love that you're carrying in your grandma's tradition! Good luck with your chocolates.
ashlantic The groups vary from week to week. Sometimes it's 5 moms, other times it's 25 moms. Today was a "25 mom" day. :/ The story time on Thursdays is more lax and a much smaller group. And at a different library with completely different moms.
I came home and started looking up daycare places for her. Her pedi suggested she go 1-2 times a week. 1.) to give me a break and keep some sanity and 2.) for her to get more social interaction with people that are not family. I totally cried, DH called me adorable. Just looking it up is making me a mess, thinking about it and typing it makes my eyes well up. Man, this is tougher than I thought.
