Today was a sneak peek at my afternoons while dd1 is at school!! LOVE! So much peace and quiet. The littles slept and my biggest came home so tired. Everyone was in bed by 7. Anyone else's baby pulling up on stuff? Dd3 got to her knees twice today. Where's my baby?!

M started that nonsense about a month ago. Now she's moved on to cruising, and tempting to stand without holding onto stuff. Not impressed, but not surprised either. S walked at 9 months. At least this time around I was expecting the early mobility. With S I was stunned.
NellieOleson we went five days no poop while at the beach. E didn't seem to care but I was stressed. Day six was epic. All clothes tossed. And then she had two more epic poops same day. Lots of prunes were given.
14joa31 I hope the weather is gorgeous for your Brussels trip! Dark chocolate keeps me out of all sorts of problems food-wise. I have some after dinner every night.
scorpioscuba your life sounds like mine. Catching up is pretty much impossible. Hugs!
wholenewworld good luck to you weaning pumping. I know that is probably an emotional decision but good for you for making it this far (especially EP! I have a hate/hate relationship with my pump)
dizzycooks E is pulling up on everything! And then letting go, taking a step, crashing and burning... But she can inch along things.
I was able to work from home today so got some extra baby snuggles, which is good, because the next two days are going to be hell. So, we're going to Napa with friends end of October. Just Friday through Sunday, but first time I'll be away from E. Anyone done a trip away from baby while breastfeeding? Any advice for pumping while wine tasting? We are no where near ready to wean.

DD3 likes to fall asleep with the bottle in her mouth (bad habit, I know, but there are worse things in life and it works for us), and she has recently started reaching for it in the night or when she's trying to fall asleep and ending up on her tummy. Then she screams bloody murder until we come up and flip her back over. I told DH we need a button we can press that raises one side of her mattress to turn her back over so we don't have to keep getting up to do it. Thankfully that should only last a couple more weeks max, then she should be able to do it on her own. It's exhausting, though.
This is the last week of school break over here, and next week all of our regular things (ballet, gymnastics, my orchestra, DH's evening meetings) start back up again. I've enjoyed not having them for the past few weeks.

We are not at the pulling up phase yet. Thank goodness. I'm not ready. When I go to get him in the morning out of his crib he's always on his belly and he's up sort of rocking back and forth. Too soon kid.
Work has been so crazy. It's my main TCF time lately and I just haven't had any.
Last night in a moment of sheer and utter stupidity I decided to do a hard restart on my phone because it was being laggy and just not acting right. The boot menu came up and I pressed the wrong thing and my phone did a factory reset. Everything gone!
I know I have most of my pics between Facebook and ones I've sent other people, but still. Most apps also were able to restore data, but not all. It's mostly the pictures. Plus, my phone has to relearn how I type and it's just such a pain.
There should be multiple warnings, dammit! Multiple "are you sure?" messages. WHY?!?!??!

dizzycooks, 14joa31, it's just way too easy. They should definitely make that harder. Then again, I should probably have been a little more patient and stopped hitting buttons.

silverspoon - Noooo! So sorry about your phone. Have you tried the Google Photos app? I love it. It automatically backs up all your photos, and I think it's easier to find what you're looking for.
I have over 5,500 pictures on my phone right now - I'd be so depressed if I lost them all.
nikiswimr - that sounds amazing! Are you planning on storing the milk and bringing it back with you on the plane?

I started using Google Photos today. I always meant to back them up, but I just never did. I'm on top of it starting today!
ETA: I just saw your post about a whole week. Goodness, I hope things get moving for her soon.
silverspoon I would cry if I lost my photos. +1 to backing them up (if the cloud is too scary, maybe just throw them on your computer once in awhile?)
My LO is pulling up on everything. When he gets to standing, he sometimes tries to climb higher. Or he'll let go and crash. When he wakes up I usually find him sitting or standing in his crib or pack n play. He's a handful. Thankfully he's also adorable.
Nooooo! That is my biggest fear, silverspoon! I second finding a way to back things up on the regular. Preferably without having to think about it. All my junk gets backed up on iCloud and also sent to my laptop. Then my laptop gets backed up to my TimeMachine and then every once in awhile I copy photos over to an external hard drive (once my laptop gets full). I have backups upon backups upon backups!

I'm currently set to backup to Dropbox and the Google Cloud. The Google Cloud has me a little wary though because if it syncs and it's missing from the local machine it will delete off the Cloud to. At least that's how I understand it. Therefore, we have Dropbox. Also, it couldn't hurt to backup my phone to my PC. I did that once back in March of 2015.
I realize I'll probably not follow through with all this after awhile, but right now the pics I can find are going to be stored all over the place. Should this ever happen again, they will be SOMEWHERE!

NellieOleson, I was going to suggest the glycerin suppository but I see that's been covered.
We have used them twice on DS2 when it's been 7+ days. We did cut them, though. It's honestly not too bad. The first time we used it, it worked almost immediately and he went poop 3 more times that day. The second time it took a few hours to work and he didn't need to poop super much.
In some cases it is just the stimulation that is needed so even using a lubricated rectal thermometer will do the trick.

nikiswimr, will you or your friends be renting a car and driving to the vineyards? Would recommend getting a battery pack or a car adaptor and pumping in the car. I have done it a bunch when we are out and about. It's a super drag but at least it gets the job done. I have not had to do it in an airport or during a flight, but I feel like maybe someone else here has? tinydancer maybe?

I cannot keep this baby happy past 5:30 this week. He just turns into a monster. He doesn't want his dinner, he didn't want to read books, he doesn't want anything as far as I can tell.
It's a struggle to keep him up until 6:30, but ideally he would go to bed at 7. I think I'm going to have to talk to daycare about his naps and see if they can do anything to improve his afternoon one. It's only been like 15 minutes all week. He needs better naps.

I totally get it silverspoon. I would not want DD going to bed that early either as that limits how much quality time you get in the evening together after working all day. I hope daycare can help out. I'm sure you have covered this but do you have black out shades etc to try to encourage him to sleep later?

Right now we just have dark wood blinds that do a decent job. We do need to get some blackout curtains, but right now he gets up before the sun anyway.
I'm hoping this is just a phase. Isn't everything a phase? I feel like we get no quality time right now. I love our reading time. After he has his jammies on we cuddle up in his glider with a lovey and his blanket and read 3-4 books. At least, we did. He hasn't wanted to at all this week. He just fusses or starts crying until his bottle and bedtime.

silverspoon - My dd1 was exactly like that. She would go to bed at 5:45 every night and wake up at 5 am every day. No change in naps or blackout shades or anything else made any difference. I would try to keep her up, she'd be a complete basket case, and still be awake super early the next day - only tired! She did grow out of it, though. Unfortunately it started with staying up later, and still waking up at 5, but now both are better. She usually sleeps 8 to 7 now.
Fifteen minutes naps are no good, though. How many of those does he take?
There is no nap sh while or blackout curtain that will keep L asleep past 6:15. It's like clock work. Seriously scary accurate clockwork. I really hope this winter that changes. Do not want to be awake for hours before daylight.

kcrkcs and silverspoon kid internal clocks are crazy. There is definitely a witching hour and trying to push through it is miserable.dd3 is by far the most flexible kid re sleep, but if I time it right she basically passes out. Miss that window and we are screwed. I have a baby brag...dd3 is signing, consistently!, for milk. I love it! I got lazy about signing to dd2 and even though she did sign we didn't start this early. I am so excited to add more signs to our routine. I need a refresher course!

That's awesome! I need to get more consistent with signing. I do random ones but I'm not consistent enough. It's so cool that she is signing back so early!! SaveSave

Also as a random aside -- how do we not have anyone pregnant yet? I don't think either of my other two BMBs made it this long without someone getting KU again!
