DS1 and I started puking last night. We're finally feeling a little better, after our fevers broke. But then DS2 started tonight puking. It's probably going to be a rough night. My H just got home from being away for 2 weeks this afternoon. His turn to deal with it! Welcome home, DH!
Oh yuck! Glad dh is home so you aren't dealing with it alone.

So, DS2 did puke when we tried to give him dinner yesterday, but was fine after that. I think this dreadful stomach flu is over with. I'm just taking it easy. Trying to get laundry done and clean up here and there when I have the energy. I feel mostly ok, but have had a giant headache today. Must drink all the water...
We have a photo session appointment today. Hopefully LO cooperates. Of course we are doing a baseball theme. Go blue! Go dodgers! ETA: only baby. We'll be doing family photos for Xmas.
Does anyone have a crawler yet? We a getting close, she goes on hands and knees and then uses that to launch herself forward. Hasn't quite figured out the moving the arms part.
Crawling backwards here. I've been working to get her moving forward because she keeps getting her legs stuck under things but nothing yet.
Is there a growth spurt at 24 weeks? Chase is suddenly constantly trying to nurse EVERYONE like a newborn again. He's nursing as much as ever and we're increasing solids from once to twice a day, so he certainly shouldn't be so nutty!
Kellymom is telling me there is one at 6 months. Dunno about 24 weeks though.

There is definitely a 6 month one. LO gained like 1/2 lb in 2 days.
Q: Formula moms. Anyone have any experience using the Kirkland brand formula from Costco? LO is currently using unfamiliar gentlease I'm considering trying the Costco formula. The price seems ideal but a bit hesitant because he's gotten use to enfamil.

We don't use Kirkland, but J does just fine with generic. Its so much cheaper even with formula checks.

No experience with that brand but i have tried to switch K twice from our normal Similac. Both times it was an epic fail resulting in constipation. Ick. Both times i had to throw out the formula - ugh. I guess think about how you could use it if he doesnt like it (for making baby cereal?) or how bad would you feel if you just had to toss it (and since its not supposed to be open for more than 30 days, its nearly impossible to find someone to give it to that quickly).

This is my fear. I would hate that he have a negative reaction. And I would hate to throw formula away.
Sippy cups....what first one are you all using? I forgot what we went with for DD when she was this age.
Wow cups! We used them with DD1 and they worked great.
I love wow cups! We have 4 that dd1 uses. Did you get one with handles for the baby? Or straight to the bigger ones with no handles? I didn't start them with dd1 very young. We used nuk learner cups. I'm hoping to avoid them this time. Just because still at 3.5 it's her preferred way to have milk. If I can skip them and use wow or straw cups I'd rather that.

Yes, we used the ones with handles and introduced them at 6 months. It took a while but she probably got the hang of them around 8 months. We use the handled ones and normal ones interchangeably with her now. I need to buy some more handled ones for DD2!

I like the NUK ones. Easy to clean. We also liked the Nuby ones that have an interchange top - one looks more like a nipple and then they graduate to more of a spout.
