Hi y'all. We went camping for labor day weekend and it was awesome... except the night that I woke up about an hour after going to bed, realizing that the baby had a fever. We didn't have thermometers or tylenol, and my mom-guess was 101. Nurse hotline said go to the ER, so we did some quick repacking and I left DH with DS1 while I took DS2 on the 40 minute drive to the closest hospital. Turned out to just be a headcold, but better safe than sorry at this age.
yikes! Sorry for the scare! And sorry your babe is sick. We were caught thermometerless once too. Sucks when you really need it!
4 day weeks are weird. On one hand I'm like omg how can this only be the 2nd day of the week! On the other hand I'm like whoo on the downhill slide already!
😢 Wednesdays permanently suck bc MH leaves for his regular job at 6:30, goes straight to his college teaching job and doesn't get home until after 10. He legit doesn't see baby I at all on Wednesdays. Thank goodness my Mom comes over to keep us company! Otherwise I wouldn't have spoken to another adult at all today. 😝
DS has been super gassy and uncomfortable the last couple of days and I couldn't figure out why. He hasn't been this bad in ages. Then I realized I've been eating pizza th last couple of days. He always is like this in that or two following me eating pizza. It's been awhile since I've had some. I feel like a bad mom for forgetting
snoris that is my biggest complaint about staying home. It can get quite lonely. Ds1 and I talk a lot. But he is three so they kind of cancel each other out.
Poor R @led. I hope she's feeling better soon.
Lo has been a bit of a terror since this leap started. Holy cow. Can't put him down anywhere. Has to be sung to in order for him to take his bottle. Forget sitting down, it's just not happening. When I do get him on the floor he is immediately on his side trying to roll to his belly.
Ds1 had such a good day at Nursery school. He ran in the room as soon as they opened the door, didn't care when I left and he ran right up to me when I picked him up. He cried when we went home.
On a side note I sort of think as long as I'm up 2-3 times a night on average nursing it probably won't come back until I wean but who knows what my body is going to do...
It was time for Ridley to eat, but every time she got near my boob she screamed. Finally Blake couldn't handle her screaming anymore so I took her and rocked her for like 3 minutes and she passed out. Poor girl must have been exhausted. She skipped her nap earlier but she wasn't really acting tired. And she's been crying/fussy all day so it didn't even occur to me!
But at least now I'm getting my sleepy snuggles that I've been missing all day. Her congestion is a little better after her bath.
I didn't end up pumping in the car.. I learned that night that the pitfalls of having one pump at home and one at work is that when you're in the car... You don't have your pump! 😜
