Tomorrow the students show up at school. Today we get our class list. I'm nervous, but slightly excited. I haven't felt excited in several years, so that's a good sign. I think it's mostly that I have pretty clothes to wear, but that's something!
My theme this year (I drew these on cardboard. They represent myself & my coteacher):

I'd say it's great to be excited stinybean, I hope it lasts all year
We're up nursing (3am). I haven't been able to put A down since he went to bed at 7:30. The teeth are killing us. Hopefully he'll go back to sleep until morning. We've got a busy busy day of errands planned and I'm finally going to the DMV for a new license. It's been on my list for the past 3 months. Way to procrastinate self.

J just woke up, in her crib! She stopped waking up and crying around 2am! I seriously and so thankful for all of you for advice on sleep with her, and for helping me through this! I finally am starting to feel normal. We have gymnastics today and then a target run! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I dropped DS of today for his first day in the toddler room - ack! I felt like a phony - like, surely I do not have a child old enough to go to the toddler room, right? But alas, he sat at the table and started flinging his breakfast around like a champ, so I guess he'll fit right in.
Hopefully a mostly quiet day at work today. My coworker with whom I share a lot of responsibilities was on vacation the last three weeks is back, but in another 3 weeks she'll be gone for good, so I'm preparing myself.
And our air conditioner broke yesterday so I'll be coming home again to an extremely hot house. Our whole HVAC system is a lemon because every other year we have to replace something or somethings; it is so annoying.

LBB woke up to pee last night at the same time BH woke up screaming, so DH ran into him in the hall heading to BH's room. The encounter must have been disorienting to LBB because when I went to him he wasn't in the bathroom, he was standing in the middle of his room pulling down his pants. I got there just in time to guide him to the bathroom before he peed all over his floor.
We are off to the gym this morning. Debating putting B in childminding for the first time, because she's not loving sitting in her stroller through class these days. Tonight I have A's preschool orientation. This is all happening too fast!
Kids at school, Im off to yoga then home to clean my disgusting bathrooms
Has anyone watched Chefs Table on Netflix? They have a new "france" season and Im obsessed. I just want to be rich and go eat all the amazing food and travel but alas its scrubbing bathrooms for me instead

Cutting multiple teeth here too and losing lots of sleep/getting short naps.
DS starts his first ever set of gymnastics tonight! I'm so excited about it!
And I'm going to jinx myself by even mentioning it, but DD put herself to sleep last night just sitting in her crib looking at a book! This has never happened before, I always cuddle her to sleep, which she's been STTN for a couple months now so I wasn't too concerned with it, whatever works right? So that was a pretty cool breakthrough moment!

I love food and travel, I'm going to have to check this show out tonight!
As for me, sitting on the deck sipping coffee. Chilly out so in a sweater and I'm not complaining! Usually I'm sad to see summer go, but I have to say we had a good one weather wise so I'm fine with it
They go through Michelin star restaurants in the country and tell the Chefs story and food. Highly recommend
Dear PTA, I appreciate that you put together all the paperwork that goes home for the students. Can you do it somewhere that doesn't take over the entire staff lounge? I just wanted to use a microwave. Signed, I-ate-cold-chicken-potpie-for-lunch

H is going out of town on Sunday for just the day and night and will be back Monday night. Then one of our friends offered him a ticket to the Huskies game on Saturday, and I told him he should go, so now it looks like I am solo parenting most of the weekend. I need to think of things to do because it gets boring just sitting around the house all weekend.

I also have a hard time thinking of fun things to do that M will actually enjoy other than the local park which he loves.
michyme123 I finally mentally caved and accepted and got excited that fall is here too. Lol, not much other choice but we did have a great summer too and it's nice to start the next phase!
LO napped for three hours today! What in the hell? I could get used to this.
Whenever that happens with this LO I am torn on how to feel. Is he just tired? Is he getting sick? Is he going to be hard to get to bed tonight? I try to tell myself to shut the hell up and live in the moment!
Yes. He's transitioning from two to one I'm guessing. O is a notoriously crappy sleeper though so this was a nice treat on an extra quiet day in the house.
Checking in from London. DH and I are having a great time and seeing SO much! It's 11 o'clock here, but I told mil we wanted to FaceTime with the kids tonight. DH is sleeping until she texts us that they're ready and I'll wake him. Tomorrow is going to be a super busy day for us, but super excited for our Buckingham palace tour!
At 14+ months, my kid has FINALLY figured out how to awkwardly scoot himself all over the floor. My days of plopping him down and knowing I can safely go pee are over. But, it's so good to actually see progress.
