I ran into a mom with 7 girls at costco today. We both made comments about the kids so I stoped and chatted with her. I asked if having all girls was bad as they got older and the mom and the older two girls all said yes at the same time. We'll that was discouraging.
I'm not worrying about starting EASY until she consolidates her sleep, which I don't expect for another month or so
No kidding! This is quite a ways out for us at this point. I think I'm spending way too much time on google and random baby sites while nursing to remind myself about everything I've forgotten since DS was a baby! I need a good book to read.. :-)

I'm one of 3 girls and loved it!
Me too. And now I have 3 girls. Occasional drama/fights as teenagers, but I love having sisters and I'm glad my girls have that too. If we tried for a 4th (we won't), I would secretly hope for another girl!

I keep reminding myself there's a reason I asked friends for reading suggestions. A good book to help me chill > stressing out about controlling my baby's life when she is her own autonomous person.
ETA: I say this because I am so much more likely to be doing the stressing rather than the chilling.
I got my city select in the mail today! Just put it all together with the 2nd seat and it is amazing. If it weren't 100 degrees outside I'd go for a walk right now

Is baby dandruff the same as cradle cap? I looked up images and all the examples seem to be very extreme and gross looking. LO just seems to have dandruff (the images all looked kind of crusty or something)

Same thing. We find the Mustela products work well.

I had a Facebook memory pop up today in which I was complaining about DS only sleeping 5 hours when he was DD2's age. Oh what I wouldn't give now for 5 consecutive hours of sleep!
kokopelli, I tried easy with my son and it didn't work for us.. I could never figure out how to transition well from activity to sleep without tons of sleep props and everything I read warned against all of them!! I'd rather not resort to swings for naps if I can avoid it and that seems to be what all the sites recommend. We stuck with just the sleep prop that worked and nursed until he started daycare (sorry daycare!!)..
How do you get LO to fall asleep for naps when you have had easy work?
I swaddled, rocked and then laid them down. Or I used swing if I needed to be free faster. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by props. I have a white noise machine, fan, blackout curtains and a mobile. I guess I'm prop central?
I guess I should have said my kid turns 3 months in a week and a half. I just started easy yesterday. That is why it is on my mind. No rush to get them into a pattern

Ok so this is awkward but I have a few sores on my labia. They are like little red bumps and they hurt when I wipe but I don't really notice them otherwise. Has anyone else had this?

Props is the Baby Whisperer term for sleep aids a baby can loose and not replace on their own - boob, bottle, paci, that stuff. What you listed doesn't have to be replaced 8 times a night.
The only things that make my baby sleep are my boobs and the mamaroo. We don't "eat, play, sleep" well here. I guess I'm hoping we just outgrow it at some point like we did with DS.
We eat and sleep, but there's not a lot of awake time for play yet.
DD was a screaming mess for the past hour or so. I think she's finally passed out. I had H put my pillow and blanket on the futon in the nursery because I have a feeling tonight is not going to be easy. H also mentioned the baby monitor wakes him up and he fell asleep a few times at his desk today, so I guess I'll be nice and give him a break
gratefulgirl ah that makes sense. I haven't read any sleep books since 6 years ago so I have forgotten a lot of what I didn't use
I didn't realize your LO is older (I should stalk better!). I read way too many sleep books/sites with my son during the 8 week to 5 month period where we weren't sleeping well and I had returned to work. We finally sleep trained and got over it. As you can probably tell, I already have anxiety about this one sleeping based on that experience.

No worries! I had a premie but I just can't give Aug 16 up Honestly I haven't even had time to stalk June or July 16. I understand the anxiety. Fx you get a good sleeper! Sleep deprivation is no joke.

We finally got DS's circ scheduled with a pediatric urologist for next week. Ugh finally! I'm sad it's taken so long but glad it's finally going to be done
We finally got DS's circ scheduled with a pediatric urologist for next week. Ugh finally! I'm sad it's taken so long but glad it's finally going to be done
Don't watch!! I made that mistake
Also, I think you mentioned it but I'm murky on the details. Did your pedi not perform circs at the hospital or were you waiting for other reasons?
We refused to leave the hospital until LO's was done. They ended up calling a different pedi from the practice in to do it. If we had been discharged first our insurance wouldn't have paid for it.
I can't remember if I told you guys so no worries. The pedi who did them in the hospital wasn't there while we were there. We were told we could stay one more day and he'd do it the next day or we could go home and have him do it in his office. We chose to go home but apparently getting insurance to approve outpatient (even though it's covered) has proven difficult. We finally got my PCP to refer DS and they sent us to this urologist. Such a PITA and now we just wish would sucked it up and stayed in the hospital an extra day.
ameliabird Oh wow that definitely sounds frustrating. I'm happy you finally have an appointment. Fwiw, I was itching to get out of the hospital too. I don't blame you for leaving. We were discharged the day after delivery and I was sooo ready to go. I would have gone mad if we had to stay another day.
Exactly!! They made it seem like no big deal too so we left
I'll also add that not only was I in the room watching..but I recorded it lol. I had to stop though because my poor baby was doing the quivering lip cry and I felt bad. He was completely fine afterwards. I homestly think he was most upset about his arms being strapped down. Once they unstrapped him he went silent mid-cry like nothing ever happened.
See, that's the part I don't want to watch is the strapping them down part Poor little guys
