It occurred to me that I don't think I updated you all. We got results from G's repeat VCUG. It was still inconclusive, but the urologist feels confident that he has posterior urethral valves that need to be fixed. He is scheduled for a cystoscopy (surgery) on 9/23. She will go in with a tiny camera and if there are valves that need to be opened, the camera has little tweezers on the end that will break them open. That should solve the problem. If there are not valve issues, we will monitor some more and possibly need a more invasive surgery when he is bigger. This surgery is slightly less invasive. He will be under general anesthesia. It should last about 1-1.5 hours and he will come home the same day. I'm mostly ok right now. If I think about it too long I start freaking out. I am anxious for it to be over and PRAYING that this is the solution to all of this.
I really hope this is the solution for your little guy. I'll be thinking of you. At least if it is PUV it can be taken care of that day and never be a problem again. T & P.
