It's our Friday since DH gets Fridays off until he switches back to his fall/winter schedule.
DS slept unusually well last night. I like when he sleeps well for many reasons but one is that he doesn't fight nursing when he wakes up after a long sleep I'm assuming because he's groggy and hungry lol
He fights nursing during the day the last few weeks. Super distracted, lots of crying/screeching, pulls off to "talk" to me and smile. For best results I go into a dark room but that doesn't always solve it lol
Airborne while nursing. Yes or no? Ds1 had a cold and now I feel it coming for me. Was thinking of taking some airborn to help?!
Have you tried zinc lozenges like Cold Eeze? They taste like metal (obviously) but they do work for me. They shorten the duration and intensity of the cold. I'm pretty sure kellymom says that they're ok while nursing.

That's the worst. Lo has been very difficult to feed lately. He screams at his bottle. I have to stand up and rock him while singing to him and feed him that way. Once he starts eating he will usually continue until he's full without a fight.

Yes! DS has been rejecting and fighting his bottles too (which has never been a problem) my bffs finally got him to take one yesterday afternoon by briskly walking and rocking him at the same time as feeding him LOL
Hah babycaps MH swears by emergenC/airborne when he feels like he's coming down with something. I'm not a fan of vitamins in general, especially enormous doses of unbalanced vitamins, just doesn't seem right to me, but he loves it and seems to have dodged a few colds that way. If much rather drink a boat load of water and bump up the vit C nutritionally. Anyway, sorry you're feeling ill.

My morning has been rough. I wish I could have stayed in bed. Sick kid = oversleeping, rain = crummy traffic = me being late to work. The Keurig wouldn't work to make my coffee. And then I kept smelling sour milk and realized that I have spit up on my shoulder. Can I just go back to bed and have a do over tomorrow?
DS is rocking some diarrhea (or at least I think he is.. he's basically pooing water). But it doesn't seem to be bothering him. FX that we don't get a call from DC to come get him.
k3am, I ran out of my PNV! annndd...well, haven't gotten replacement bottle yet! oops! snoris, exactly what you said. my DH swears by it. I never take them.
I'm going to just keep doing what I always do. A shit ton of water, grapefruits and oranges!
Am pumping at work! DS did excellent with his bottles yesterday but HORRIBLE sleep (naps) and a mediocre night. Poor guy has to adjust to this new routine also.

DS is still sleeping crappy at school. We're taking his swaddle strap today to see if that helps with anything. All we manage to get is a series of 5-10 minute cat naps.
For all their "send more bottles, send bigger bottles" demands, he's been holding steady at 4x3oz bottles and not getting to the 5th. If it keeps up for the rest of the week, I'll send them 4x4oz and potentially 1x3oz just in case we're running late with the expectation that it will probably get sent home.
Yesterday I managed to pump.. 20oz. I have no idea how that happened. I wish I did so I could replicate it.

Oh no! that sucks.
Also, I just saw that you are an "amethyst gem" on TCF. I want to be a pretty purple gem!!! I purple!
Nanny just texted me she's had no luck putting L down for a morning nap no matter what she tries. He's really missing his mama
I started typing this about 15min ago! Work interferers with TCF again!

I just saw the purple gem when I got back to work.. DD would be so proud
I'm headed home sick from work in an hour. Woke up at 3:30am with a ginormous headache so bad it made me sick to my stomach. I'm sooo tired and my head pounds every time I take a step. I want to just spend the afternoon in bed. Now the question is, do I take Cam with me or come back and get him later? I almost hate to have to pump and come back if I can take him and snuggle/ nurse/ sleep all afternoon. But then I run the risk of him being fussy or awake and not being able to rest like I need to. WWM16D?

I left him. Almost in tears because I've never left him before- I've always been in the building. I'm a mess! AND MIL is going to pick him up on her way home from work so I don't have to drive back. So now I'm pumping and planning to spend the afternoon in bed binge watching Parenthood and napping.
I definitely think that as more folks go back to work, we're all getting sick. Babies are being exposed to real germs for the first time, mamas are being exposed to real germs for the first time in months. It's no fun.
I've been hoovering in the "kind of sick" camp since the weekend where as DH caught a man cold and is now mainly over it.
