I went to bed last night at 10pm. My husband kept the baby until 2am. He put her down and she slept to 5am. So, I slept 10pm to 5am. Amazing. Thank you, Jay!!!
I can handle all of it except for that first feeding after going to bed. That one's the worst. Jay took one for the team last night. ❤️

joy I always feel like death during that first feeding. hooray for your H!!
I have great news as well. My H just texted me that I have a pending direct deposit from my company. Hooray!!!! We have been paying the nanny because we can't not pay her while I'm on leave but I haven't received a paycheck in a month. We can't afford a full time nanny if I'm not getting paid. We didn't think the STD payout would take that long so we weren't prepared for it. Between preschool and the nanny and some other big expenses we would have liked to plan for this a little better. We had like $10 in our checking after paying all our bills last month! Luckily I finally got $$ from work so we are no longer stressing.
Well my Inlaws got to town last night so I'm stressing for other reasons😉
Today is DD1's second day of pre-k. I'm hoping she goes in again with no tears (she cried at drop off last year for 4 months!). It feels so much easier to run errands with only 2 kids instead of 3.
And my new diaper bag DH surprise ordered for me is coming today! I'm excited because I've had my old one for 4 years.
When to the physiotherapist today for baby boys flat spot. And she didn't think it was that bad. But dis think my babies were abnormal because during the day they only will sleep in arms. And that they are more awake then asleep. They are 6.5 weeks . I never once thought this was weird. But she did use their adjusted age which is only 2 weeks. But they definitely do not act like 2 week olds in anyway ay all. We still go to her for 10 sessions. So it will be interesting what she thinks next time. Or by the time baby boy is finished.
shanny, thinking of you and baby R. Hope the meds are working now for his circulation!

coffeequeen14, I got the Jujube BFF. I'm excited to have one that I can wear as a backpack because I'm usually carrying the infant car seat, my other arm is usually full, and trying to wrangle the other two kids. So I think that will be helpful.
Well my cold got both girls. Baby seems ok, but she just gave a few pitiful coughs this morning.
Get this - H is actually mad at me for being run down enough to get sick. He says I'm not taking care of myself. Well DUH! I never sleep, and I hardly have time to eat.
So let me ask you, are you eating healthy nutritious foods? And like... meals?
joy my worse feeding is around the 5:30/6 mark. That one takes me forever to get up for. Glad you got a good nights rest, hopefully that helps the headache.
hollyberry I think some babies are more awake than others. So I don't think it's weird. In all of DDs pictures at 1-2 weeks she had her eyes open, DS at same age as all pictures with eyes closed. DD is still one who won't sleep if people are awake around her. She's too nosy. Haha.
annbuhdan I'm only eating actually meals bc I had made a bunch of freezer meals before baby. And I also have had someone home with me to help with dinner. Next week when I'm on my own and DD won't be in daycare everyday we shall see if that trend continues. Feel better soon!

Only because my church is still bringing them to us.
Although somehow they have all been baked pasta casseroles this time. But still, free pre-made food.
MH gets like that sometimes too. It's not that he's really mad at me, he's mad he can't change the situation. But it still stinks. ((Hugs)).
I've been doing the skinny taste meal planner for the past week, so meals haven't been to bad, and then I have leftovers for lunch. Breakfast is still a kind bar and a cup of coffee during the week. On the weekends DH has been making us omelettes (I'm spoiled).
DD has her 2 week well check this afternoon, but other than that we just have cleaning and laundry to tackle. Thankfully DD like chilling in her ring sling, so I can get stuff done.
meagpt22, I am not worried about it, and thought the same as you. Of course them being so awake means overtired cranky babies in the evening sometimes. But today they had a nice big nap so hopefully not cranky. I also don't see them as preemies especially baby boy, I feel like his milestones are right on target. It just kinda surprised me when she said that.
annbuhdan, we eat meals but we are also 3 people to 2 babies. So we outnumber the babies. When my help is gone I have no idea what we will eat like.

Yay for a good night's sleep! Hope you're feeling more like yourself.
annbuhdan, it's hard to eat well. I've been struggling to get enough fruits and veggies in. And at 6 weeks PP I've finally just started meal planning again.
hollyberry, that adjusted age thing is so confusing. How early does a baby have to be for that to be considered a factor in development? My mom keeps saying that my LO is "only (x-3) weeks old" because he was three weeks early. It annoys me and I keep telling her to stop and just refer to him as his actual age.

annbuhdan we only have real meals if H is home in time for dinner or someone brings them. He is out of town this week so uhhhh leftovers? Last night my kids had leftover steamed broccoli and sautéed chicken/mushroom sausage I pulled from the freezer. I had fruit loops. With milk, so healthy.
I try to eat healthy but really at this point when H is gone I try to just eat! I do make sure my kids have a balanced diet each day though.

I know right! I mean maybe baby girl is a bit behind at least from baby boy And only maybe by a week or 2, but they are definitely not a month behind. I am definitely not a fan of the adjusted age. Especially for my 2, it just doesn't seem to match.

Today was ds1's first day of preschool! They did a very short session to get them used to it, but he had a lot of fun.
Ds2 had his 1 month visit this week. No wonder he can't wear his newborn outfits any longer - he is 22.75" long! 98th percentile! He was only 20" at birth. I'm wondering if he squirmed a bit and he's not actually quite that long? Only 9 lbs 6 oz now though so the 3m stuff is baggy on the sides.

I am trying hard to make and eat healthy meals, but it's just so hard. One, because I don't have time to prepare and cook, and two, because I really don't want to eat healthy foods haha! But, I do have 30 lbs to lose so that motivates me a little to attempt a healthier diet. If only I had more hands!
Well my cold got both girls. Baby seems ok, but she just gave a few pitiful coughs this morning.

I have eaten lasagna for 5 straight meals. And I don't think I have actually tasted it at all. Bummer, too, bc I make really good lasagna and it was a lot of work
DD had her two week visit today. She gained 1 lb 7 oz in less than 2 weeks. And she's 95th percentile for height at 22 inches! This gives me so much comfort as DS was always so low on the weight curve. I'm happy to have a clunker this time!
I am still making 3 meals a day for my older kids but with DH working late all week I haven't really been able to sit down and actually eat with them so I've just been reheating leftovers and inhaling it when I get a second.
And then I sat in the car at the pediatricians office for a good 10 minutes because I was dressed and had some makeup on and figured I should also go somewhere else. Couldn't think of anything to do so I just came back home. What a waste of making myself presentable.

So exciting to have a new bag, yay! I have this one and really like it!
