coffeequeen14, I got the Jujube BFF. I'm excited to have one that I can wear as a backpack because I'm usually carrying the infant car seat, my other arm is usually full, and trying to wrangle the other two kids. So I think that will be helpful.
So exciting to have a new bag, yay! I have this one and really like it!
I'm glad you like it! It had good reviews so I was hoping it was a good choice.
As far as healthy eating goes, my mom made us a bunch of freezer meals. That has really helped with actually eating a real dinner. Although right now I'm eating pretzels with cookies 'm cream hazelnut spread right out of the jar. Yum.

Having a rough 24 hours over here.
Last night was bad. Both babies were fussy, I have no idea why. Someone told me fussiness peaks around 4-6 weeks, I guess we're there. I didn't make it to bed until 2, then woke up again at 3:50 and was up until 5. Thankfully H took the morning feeding so I slept from 5-9.
Then he woke me because he was leaving for a meeting and I was alone for 2 hours with the twins. I spent most of it helping one baby while the other screamed themselves purple. It was terrible and I felt like a horrible mother.
I just had a shower and ran to Starbucks and now we are meeting a potential babysitter. And then H leaves for like 7 hours. I have a friend coming for some of the time but will be alone for a lot of it.
H only slept 2.5 hours total last night so I have a feeling tonight will be tough too. Send sleepy vibes to my babies!
All I've "eaten" today is some Dr Pepper. Every time I put DD down she wakes up and freaks out. I'm about to just let her scream so I can get some food. Then I'll sit down and hold her and eat off her head if I have to lol
We do real meals, but #2 is the most chill baby and we have a three year old that needs to eat. We throw a lot of stuff on the grill so it's pretty simple food. We also do a lot of left overs.

I eat with DD3 in the wrap at times. So she gets good dropped on her head. It's not like I get to eat when it is piping hot.

Yesterday I ate toast with DD nursing on the boppy. I made it too crunchy so the crumbs were all over her. Oops.

My H is still waiting for the call to interview for his dream job, so he is super anxious and it's way too easy for him to get really irritable. He's around a lot right now because he's in between projects and working from home. His anxiety infects me and I don't get any time to just be alone with the baby and relax and fully enjoy my mat leave if that makes sense? Not that I don't love being around him but when he's stressed like this it's less fun :-(
And then I sat in the car at the pediatricians office for a good 10 minutes because I was dressed and had some makeup on and figured I should also go somewhere else. Couldn't think of anything to do so I just came back home. What a waste of making myself presentable.
At someone else I can't remember right now, R really had been just sleeping and eating up to almost one month old. He would have some awake periods for a few minutes until he was hungry again and wanted to sleep.

I'm sorry about the rough night IME the 6ish week period is always a little tricky bc there's a growth spurt then AND my 38 weekers go through their first wonder week around then. My DD has definitely done more fussing in the past 3 days than she did in the previous 2 weeks. Hopefully this phase passes quickly for you!

Re: food This AM is a perfect example. DH & I worked together & got the bigs + dog fed. Then I had time to put a muffin, some cheese & nuts on a plate, and brew coffee for me. Exactly when I got that pulled together, DD2 started crying to nurse. I grabbed like 4 nuts & nursed until it was time for us to take DD1 to school. I ate the rest in fits and starts after we got home. Lunch went better, because I've still got frozen things I made before she was born, but I'm still experimenting with cooking times. And no one else likes what I made. In my head, the solution is to prepackage meals in a lunchbox, but I can't find time to actually do that.
joy We've been doing a combo of breastmilk & formula similar to you. DD pooped a big one when she was a few days old, and then went about a week before she pooped again. She seemed to feel ok (not particularly fussy), and the dr we saw said a week is about as long as they want to see. I was of course panicked way before a week because the hospital was very clear that she should be having x number of poops every day. She still only poops every few days, but doesn't seem bothered by it, and only had constipated-poop once. (And now I've reached my limit of Internet poop-talk.) TL;DR I'll bet Baby I is likely fine.
LO tends to fuss (ok, scream) when awake unless he's being held, worn or otherwise paid attention to. It makes for good cuddling, but hard to get things done. He hates his swing and his bouncy seat, but we just got him this play gym and I think I'm in love. He entertained himself long enough this morning for me to unload the dishwasher, make oatmeal and eat it!
I made today's dinner at 11:30 this morning and will be reheating it at dinner time. But it gets a balanced meal on the table, so whatever. It just happens that baby witching hour and 6 yr old witching hour perfectly coincide with the time most people cook dinner. So I cook early.

joy ,just in case, when the poop finally does happen, it's explosive, @bruxannie suggested a soak in borax and hot water and I've been using it for baby and toddler stains with much success. It really is an amazing fix (and easier than scrubbing). I just throw the stuff in a bucket with the Borax mixture and let it sit overnight, then machine wash as normal in the morning

I'm so glad you love it.
A mom of 3 gave me Borax at my baby shower and it's a wonder cleaner for the supremely lazy!
Is she getting any formula? With formula fed babies they may not be as regular as BF babies. Is she making enough wet diapers though?
Ah, useful info! And yes. Plenty of pee diapers! She seems normal otherwise. Less interested in napping, but perfectly content while awake.
My DD who was FF could go a couple days without going. Just keep an eye on if she seems to strain excessively or scream in pain..those aren't normal. If those happen may consider switching to a sensitive formula.

I just pulled out the play mat for our fussy girl too, and we are having the same pleasant experience!
I am having a weird/gross problem with DD. Something about the angle I put her legs at when wiping her seems to trigger gas and I keep catching poops with wipes. I'm really glad we use cloth wipes.

Re: entertaining newborns. I desperately want to make this stargazing box for DD3 (and, lets be honest, the big kids). DH understandably laughs at me when I talk about finding time for it. But seriously it looks like newborn crack.
DD3 also enjoys tummy time because it gives her ample time and access to attempt to suck on her index finger, which is her life goal right now. If she gets it and it doesn't escape from her, she attempts to go to sleep.

My child got me with poop a few days ago. Like, distance happened.
