Good luck today singingsea! What time do you go in? Feel free to live blog.
Pregnancy insomnia hit and I only got 5 hours of sleep. I have an appt this morning, followed right by DD at the allergist, then we're hosting up to 10 kids for a last minute play date. Ugh, why did I schedule all this??

I have no idea what im going to do today I was going to head yo the hospital and spend the day but my sister is coming by to drop some stuff off, so I may wait until tomorrow to do that. Well see depends in what tine she gets here. Other than that I think I might just spend some time sewing today. I need a cleaning break.

Good luck today singingsea! I can't wait to hear about your sweet baby!
We are play dating this morning too but it's not at our house. My friends actually thought it would be fun to take the kids apple picking but then we noticed the high today is 93 so no way is that happening.
I got my first iPhone yesterday so I'm still in discovery mode. It's all very confusing.
Doctors appt this morning. Hoping for more dilation. It seems impossible to not have more with all of these contractions. I've caught my sons cold and I'm actually terrified to try and give birth with an awful cold. Hopefully it clears up soon!
Good luck singingsea!!! Hope everything goes smoothly today and looking forward to hearing about your new addition :-)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone who is close. Hoping for good news at your appointments!
Have fun today fem (if that's possible with that many kids running around).
We were up a lot last night with tummy troubles for E. I ended up sleeping in the rocker with her for a while to at least get us both some sleep since she was waking every hour and then around 6:30 she finally pooped and has been asleep since. Why does that have to happen at the end of the night?!
Heading up to wake her for the day soon since we are still working on getting her nights and days straight.
Curious- does anyone know at what point an OB would be like "whoa you're really dilated, please go right to L&D". I think that's what happened to you cassey910? I'm just wondering.
Also I've seen a lot of posts about moms frequently pooping haha. Is this a sign of impending labor that I am unaware of?
kerbear I used my OB that exact question yesterday! She said that it really depends on the doctor and the woman but that she had a patient walking around at 6cm dilated for her 39th week. Seems so crazy to me!

hurricanerek I've used my husband iPhone from tine to time and I still don't know what im doing alot. And the ipad still trips me up now and again but I have it mastered mostly. Everything is so backwards! In college we had both macs and pc's I sat down at a mac one abd tried to do my work I think I was sitting there for maybe and hour before I had to get up and walk away, I couldn't do it.
kerbear, contractions can sometimes stimulate you to need to go a lot. I think I've also read that there is something about your body clearing itself out but I don't know what would drive that..

I appreciate that your OB seems to have let the 6cm mom make that call to walk around vs go. As a STM needing to coordinate childcare for my DS, I feel like I wouldn't have the time to coordinate someone coming quickly enough if my contractions started and I was already a 6...

Yes! Apple products have never been as intuitive for me. When I was teaching, all the teachers at my school had PC laptops except for myself and the band teacher since apparently the music department needed macs. I could barely figure out how to access my class rosters until the tech guy sat down and showed me.
Ds is at daycare and I slept like a rock from 2-730 and from 8-930. Didnt hear the boys leave this morning. Have a MW appt at 12 so I should probably get out of bed. My floors and bathrooms need some attention today at some point and I have a load of diapers to stuff.
I put E in the RNP again last night bc of his congestion. He slept from 11-5!!! I actually woke him at 5 bc my boobs were going to explode. The RNP is magic. But I don't want to use it every night... It's hard to say that when you get 6 hour stretches, though!!

It's more like diarrhea that means your body is getting ready. I've been pooping a lot too, but last time I went into labor I had diarrhea like 3 times that day. My sister did as well with her labor. I hope we all get diarrhea soon 😜

Literally LOL'd at this. May the poop be with you.
kerbear that is what happened to me. I went in for my regular check up and I was a 6 and E was very low. She also could tell I was contracting but i just thought it was BH contractions. She looked at me in shock and said your going to have this baby today lol. I was actually in labor and didn't know it. I'm just glad my appointment was that day. Cause I went very fast without intervention.
I declined being checked today. Baby is kind of sideways/diagonal. I asked if that was a problem at this point. She said not really there's plenty of time, but if my water breaks with her like that then it's a problem. Ugh.
She then offered me an elective induction at 39 weeks. I kind of side eyed that since there are absolutely no medical reasons to induce.

Aw thanks guys! I actually started to go into labor on my own last night/this morning. They aren't even doing pitocin at the moment and letting my body do it's thing. Currently 5cm with steady contractions. Nothing I can't handle yet but starting to intensify.
