Motivation level = 0. First anatomy test is next week, so while I'm at work my mind is preoccupied with school. When I'm not at work my time is dominated by LO and school. Work life balance is a bitch.
That moment when you wake up convinced it's Saturday... but it's really only Thursday. Gotta head to Costco and the bread store today, then probably lazing around. I met some friends for trivia night last night and had a blast, but I'm so tired this morning. Thank God for extra large coffee mugs.
laceysbryan hugs, that's such a hard balancing act. At least the weekend is around the corner! @kaybeeknits hope it gets better soon! Is she napping shorter or just taking longer to settle?
Morning! Busy day here. Trying to stay focused and on track. DNW to work Saturday. Kinda hard trying to cram my busy week into 4 days.
Leo tries so hard to talk. Most of his conversation is babble but he's picking up on 2 word sentences. Like last night he said "thank you mamá" which made me so happy.
Good Morning all! laceysbryan that balance is hard and you have extra things to balance, hugs to you mama @littlelionhope you get it all done! That is so cute and sweet. M is still on the 1 words but he is picking up so many new ones @kaybeeknits hope your LO goes back know to the long naps. We weaned LO from the pacifier awhile ago and at first his naps were short but he is back into the 1.5 to 2.5 hour range.
Dropped DD off for her second day a preschool and I had to remind her to say good bye to me I'm glad she loves it but sad that she is growing up. Otherwise LO has learned how to open his door so he was up every 2 hours last night. I see a nap in my future today!
So tonight we leave to drive 12 hours to Alabama. This is going to be fun I hope LO sleeps most of the way. We are currently lying in bed trying to nap. I have a horrible headache. I need this to go away so I can try to stay up with DH for the drive.

Good morning ladies. I got super sick last night after I came home from class. I'm feeling mostly better this morning. But I think a low key day is in order.

Awww I'm glad she's enjoying it. Leo has stopped crying at DC drop off. Today he didn't even look back. :/
Ughh, lo is in hard core toddler mode. Hardly at lunch and took a really short nap. I thought painting would be something fun to do on a gloomy afternoon... Nope. Lo wanted a new paper every 2.5 seconds, kept getting pissed when I wouldn't give it to him, and then tried to lick the paint brush after I told him not to. He thought it was really funny until I cleaned up the paint and said he was done.
littlelion that's awesome! We've been trying to get 2 word phrases out of lo, but he's only done it one or two times. Otherwise he'll either say the 1st or 2nd word and that's it. nemomof2 is your lo in a toddler bed now? I'm dreading that transition. babyw15 good luck with your drive! ourcrazynavylife ugh, feel better!
ashlantic he is in a toddler bed. He has generally been a good sleeper and love getting into bed so the transition wasn't too bad. It took a couple naps and night time sleeps for him to realize he needed to stay in bed. I don't know what his deal is now though. I think all four of his canine teeth are coming in.

laceysbryan I'm with you, trying to balance it all and leave a minute for yourself is exhausting! @kaybeeknits that is my fear of weaning the paci. My LO already sleeps pretty horribly (night is worse than naps) I hate to think I could make it worse. How did you wean her? ashlantic yes! I thought it was Friday on Tuesday (first work day of the week) Night out sounds awesome, but I'd be dragging the next day too! Our toddler storms always come out of nowhere, hope the rest of your night went better! littlelion hope you can get it all done!! We've been getting two word sentences too and they are so cute!! nemomof2 aw glad your dd loves school, hope you got your nap! I'm thinking about a toddler bed bc he's sleeping so horribly (and last night when I was letting him cry for a bit he had one whole leg over the crib bar ), but I'm not sure it would help, he'd probably figure out the door and we'd be in your shoes. Lol babyw15 GL with your drive! ourcrazynavylife hope you're feeling better!

I'm so tired, B was up at 2am last night and we're trying not to let him sleep on me. I let him cry 5 min went in calmed him down, laid him down and rubbed his back for a min. The second I leave he screams. Spread out the times a bit and repeat. Finally after 30 min of this he's still so riled up and on the monitor I saw him get his foot up on the top bar of the crib. I laid on the floor next to the crib and ended up spending most of the night (aka woke up at 5;45 went back to my bed, he woke up one min later) there bc it took him forever to settle!! Hoping it's a phase he will be over fast. He keeps tricking me by sleeping through the night for like 5 nights in a row. Then might get up every couple nights, then this is probably the fifth night in a row he's been up. Repeat each month! Sorry tl/dr I need B to sleep! We got a couple good things at a consignment sale today and I'm trying to start thinking about his Christmas and birthday gifts.
nemomof2 our house is set up where lo's bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom and loft area, and the master bedroom is on the 1st floor. I don't love the idea of him roaming around the whole 2nd floor, so I'm glad he's in a crib for now. Lol Hope he goes back to staying in his room! Ugh, those canine teeth were a bitch. It took lo's forever to come in. 3 have broken though and I can see the 4th. I feel like he was teething on and off all summer. reginaphalange3 sorry for all the sleep woes! That sounds awful. Does he have any special loveys or stuffed animals he sleeps with? Those seem to help lo. We just gave him a dream light for his room too. My cousin got it for him- it's like a pillow pet but it makes stars on his ceiling. Lo loves it and settles really easily now. And fwiw, I was terrified of weaning from the pacifier, but we ended up doing it cold turkey. I just quietly put them away and he looked for them for the 1st could of nights but wasn't too mad about it. He started sleeping better after we did that because before he'd drop them out of the crib, then get pissed that he couldn't reach them.
We also did cold turkey, and honestly she was fine. It takes her a few minutes to settled now sometimes, but it just seems like if she wakes up (naps), she doesn't go right back to sleep like she used to.

ashlantic thanks!! It seems right when I think he's past it he regresses again! He has some stuffed animals he likes but there isn't really anything he loves (although sometimes he insists on taking his ball to bed lol). Maybe I'll try a night light type thing, he does seem scared when he wakes up so maybe if he could see he's in his crib he'd calm down and go back to sleep?? Idk
