I have taken Lovenox a lot for blood clots and anticoagulation. It sucks a bit, not gonna lie, but you do get used to it. Have you taken it before? It does sting a little at first, and I just would press down with my hand (don't rub it) for a minute or so until the sting subsides. Just one other bit of advice - if you are inserting the needle and you feel ANY resistance at all, go ahead and switch to another spot. I realized after a few times that the times I felt that resistance ended up with huge bruises/knots that are not painful, but just unpleasant and alarming looking (though harmless). Best of luck to you, FX!!

I think for everyone at first there's a squeamish factor but hopefully you will find it's not so bad! Not to scare you but just to prepare you because I didn't expect this, you will likely get small bruises that come up on every single injection spot and after a while your whole abdomen (or wherever) will be covered in bruises as you move the injection sites around and that's not the greatest. So this bikini season might be out for you! If I ever get pregnant, which is seeming less and less likely, I will have to go on injections immediately too. Anyway, keep us posted!
