I'm a little annoyed that I'm up at 6am. Silly Cam doesn't understand sleeping in! At least he's content on his floor mat so I can veg on the couch. We had kind of a rough night. I stayed up too late and Cam woke up right as I was drifting off at 11:30. Tried for an hour to get him back in his crib and he wasn't having it. At 12:30 I gave up and he slept with me the rest of the night. MH is working a fundraiser volleyball tournament at school and will be gone all afternoon (11-6). Boo. I'm trying to think of something fun to do with the boys. I'm thinking about taking them to this old farmstead place that's about 45 mins away. It's a big undertaking though solo with 2 kids! So I'm not sure.

LO started rolling recently = no more swaddling. It's gone about as good as I thought it would... Completely sucky sleep. I've seen about every hour each night 😴 MH offered to try to give her a bottle to give me a break but she wouldn't take it and it just pissed her off. And she was up the rest of the night. Ugh it's so hard going from good sleep to hardly any!
No big plans here. Counting down the hours until DH gets back from his work trip tomorrow morning! I'm going to try to work on the nursery. It's terrible that it's not done yet, but I've seriously had the worst luck with it. Aside from everything being ruined in the flood in April, I have had issues with every single thing I have ordered online for it. Damaged furniture, canceled orders due to inventory issues, etc. I found an awesome mobile which arrived yesterday, but it wasn't the colors I thought it would be. Looking back at the online photo, I think it was deceiving due to the lighting. I'm going to paint part of it. I also have some picture frames to paint, artwork to create and artwork/accessories to hang, then it will be done!
DD being and grandmas means we got to sleep in.. It's 8 and were just now starting to stir. (I've been up since 5, but it was glorious to lay in bed and read!)
Our town is having its fall fair today but it's been raining and there are supposed to be severe storms this evening. Total bummer I wanted to take ds1 to the demolition derby.
I put ds2 down in his crib wide awake and left to brush my teeth. He put himself to sleep and is just starting to stir now, 1.5 hrs later. Hallelujah!!
Our neighbours across the street had their little boy a few days ago. He is so perfectly itty bitty, man they grow too fast.
G was taking a nap in my bed. When he woke up he was smiling and cooing, so happy to see me. Then I noticed a wet spot...liquid poopsplosion all over the bed. I'm sure it's a reaction from his shots yesterday. I have waterproof mattress pads on all of our beds for a reason! I guess I'm doing laundry today.
DS1's "girlfriend" was going to come to her chicago pied de terre and she got strep so now they are staying home (about 90min away). DS was SO looking forward to playing with his best girl friend.
It's crappy, rainy and ugly. I can't breathe bc of allergies.

My brother and I drove 4 hours last night to my parents' place with our 3 kids. There were only a few minor disasters like when DS1 said he had to pee but I didn't want to stop so I told him to pee in his nighttime pull up and it leaked all over his pjs and car seat.
We are now on the road to our family reunion 30 mins away.

I just survived 4 hours ( 5 hours out of the house total) at the zoo with 2 kids I met some girlfriends out. It was fun but holy crap was it hot. We stayed in the kiddie splash area and the kiddie ride area most of the day. I'm pretty sure I did. Good job of keeping LO out of the sun as well. Had fun but glad to be in the house with ac
I can't wait until a 3 bedroom apartment opens up for us. It feels so cramped in here sometimes with baby stuff on the floors. Ugh. Maybe it's time to figure out how to utilize her room more. It's just so cramped in there.
Curiosity.. DS has been pooping essentially green water bsince Thursday (we think.. Possibly Wednesday) aside from the diarrhea and having a cold, he's a-okay. Thoughts?

I am officially sure we've got growth spurt behavior going on. We had our worst night of sleep in a while, which I won't complain about bc it's still better than what I read about here. And one 20 min nap so far today... And he's 2.5 hours "late" for his big afternoon nap. Crazy fussy. Crazy clingy. Crazy hungry. Not my baby! Eep!

Hello!
I got the boys up early this morning to go to a BFing photoshoot. Local photog wanted some promotional pictures, I figured why not. I'll get some freebies out of it. Also we totally cleared out half the park when we all got topless lol.
Then we have a sitter for tonight, our first date night out without either boy!
Has anyone else tried blowing on their baby's face? Like you would blow to cool down your coffee. I read somewhere that it makes 4m old babies laugh. So we tried it. Baby I doesn't laugh but he sniffs (?) it then let's out a euphoric sigh like its the best smell ever... Weird? Try it. Then tell me if my kid is weird.
DH finished moving thr gravel. We are slowly trying to even out and fix the drainage in our backyard. He's doing it primarily by hand so I'm proud of him. snoris you guys building your fence reminded me of it

Foremilk imbalance? Maybe it's just green from the cold he has? Our green watery poop signaled dairy/soy issues but I think if that was the case it would have happened sooner for you
