I'm so ready to be able to sit down without my lady bits hurting. I told my mom at least I didn't have a C section because you use your abdomen for way more things & she said she's had both and the vaginal birth / stitches were way worse.
I was told I couldn't bathe until I was cleared by the doctor. I have my 3 week appointment next Tuesday. I'm dying for a bath. My lady bits have been ok, but randomly started hurting yesterday.

I think I was told that with my first. This time it was no public pool for higher infection risk till 6 weeks but bath at home fine.
I am obsessed with cloth diapers. I had a bunch from when ds1 was a baby and didn't realize the elastic would need to be replaced. Plus there are so many more options now!

So weird I was told to take a bath every day 2x a day to help promote healing for vaginal birth. They did say only hot water no bubbles though so Im assuming it was similar to a sitz bath.

Also told to take a bath 2x a day but no bath oils or bubble bath. The nurse did tell me to put a little soap in my peri bottle so I've also been squeezing a little plain baby body wash into the water as the tub fills.
The hospital had a heat lamp they recommended using for no more than 10 minutes after getting out of the bath. The nurse says all the warmth (warm water, warm light) promotes circulation to promote healing. She told me at home I could use a hair dryer in place of the lamp.

I was totally intrigued by cloth diapers when I was pregnant, but wasn't so committed to the idea I was willing to convince DH try them. So many different options! And so cute!

I got an iodine solution to mix with water in a peri bottle. Maybe that's why?

Were doing hybrid diapers right now. I think DH is on board with doing cloth.

Probably just a case of different training/ different opinions in our health care providers.
My lady bits hurted for 3 bloody weeks. I even bought a couple of electric kettles to use in the bathrooms for my peri bottle toilet routine so I didn't have to waste water waiting for the tap water to warm up. So glad that hassle is over!
I made crepes yesterday to entertain a friend for lunch. She's pregnant again after a loss! Soooo excited for her, another first time mum in my close circle of friends!
My best friend of 22 years is having a scheduled c section in 3 days' time. I can't wait to meet little Matthias. Newborns are just so darn adorable. But my Lucas would still be the cutest baby on the block, not even worried at all.
So I am feeling like a dumb mom. LO is a very happy baby as long as she is being held during the day. I would out her down asleep and she would wake up within 5-10 minutes. And today I realized I think she gets chilly. That is an easy fix. Gah
