Just got home from the in laws- Kinda annoyed we left so late. 930 rolled around and we still hasn't had cake so I had to ask if they would bring it out. H's aunt seemed annoyed (it was her birthday celebration), but seriously, IDGAF.
Sounds like she was purposefully trying to make people stay late. Jerk.
I passed the baby off and have been off-duty for an hour. It would be nice except my sweet baby has been crying the whole time. This ass hat is just staring at her, doing nothing at all to try and comfort her. He Then gets mad and me for not giving him step by step instructions on how to soothe HIS child. Umm how about you try something. Why does he not understand (even after I try to explain) that he has to find what works for him? LO likes to be right against my face, but he has scruff. She doesn't like that, but far be it from me to tell him that. I am now going to take an extra long shower so he can suck it. (I pumped so the baby would stop crying. I promise I'm not neglecting my child.)
Sorry everyone is having a rough night. I thought I was coming down with something earlier (chills, headache, general malaise) but apparently I was just exhausted because sleeping made me feel better. Thank goodness.
xoxolicia all the internet wisdom says dads want less instruction from mom on how to interact with their child, go figure. Hope your husband gets less afraid of his baby.
Everyone is sleeping except for my kid. I haven't had a wink of sleep since She didn't sleep last night. She's been extra fussy due to what I'm guessing is gas. I feel so bad for her. I still want to sleep, though. Oh and gas drops are a freaking joke.
DS did sleep pretty well last night with long stretches. The problem is I keep waking up with these bowling balls on my chest. I'm so full he can't empty one side, nevermind offering the other side.
I hope I regulate soon.
How long should I pump to get relief buy without triggering more production? Or should I hand express a little?
Ugh, baby has the foulest breath! What happened to the sweet baby breath thing? He smells like sour milk and I have noticed random milk showing up in his mouth way after feeding. He's regurgitating and swallowing it back! Dr google tells me he might have silent reflux. I'll joining some of you on the no dairy diet. Although, I suspect my problem has to do with poor bottle technique from DH and my mum (I BF him when he's with me) or not holding him upright after feeding. Hopefully solving this sour breath problem is my ticket to sleepful nights and less pained, heartbreaking cries in the near term.

Have you tried gripe water? Haven't used it myself but it's another option for upset stomach.

Ugh.....I'm dealing with this too. Im dealing with oversupply and the breastfeeding board suggested one breast feeding and hand express just enough for comfort. I am also having to wean to formula for day feedings and with oversupply and now trying to cut out a feeding, I have bought cabbage leaves because it's so bad and I do not want another clogged duct. Sympathies momma!
I have a sleeping baby leaning against my chest. I'm addicted to the smell on the top his head.
But he's gone bald up top on the front, poor Lil guy is suffering from male pattern hair loss already. I need to get a pic of him looking upset - that's when the forehead wrinkles appear and he looks like an old man.

Thank goodness for ibuprofen and its ability to suppress fever. Hoping I kick whatever bug I've got before tomorrow when I'll be home alone with the baby.

We're getting some today. Hopefully it'll work. This poor girl.
LO is sleeping wonderfully on my chest right now. I should be sleeping with her, but we're having visitors. If they weren't bringing food, I'd cancel. I'm starving. I just realized the only thing I've eated was a bowl of creral nearly 8 hours ago. I'm not functioning well today.

Glad your LO is finally sleeping. Hope you follow suit after eating, even if your visitors are still there.

Oh geez, that happened to me too. I wore a sports bra without my pads and milk was literally dripping out of the shirt onto my feet. I am looking at LO on the changing table thinking he is peeing on me. Definitely not the case.
So DS has decided to cluster feed twice today, first in the morning and now tonight.
This means I was only able to pump once today and get 2 oz. H and I are going out to dinner and the TV on the Radio concert Tuesday night and I want to leave three 4 Oz bottles for my mom to give. I only need 4 more ounces to get to the 12, but I also want H to give a bottle tomorrow night... man pumping is stressful! I really feel for the pumping moms back at work, trying to get the necessary ounces
Pumping is stressful. Luckily, I was over-producing quite a bit in the beginning and have stored quite a bit. LO is downing 4-5 oz every 4 hours and that drains both of my breasts each time. Good bye BM hoarding.
