I have a feeling tonight is going to be a very long night. DD seems to have some incredible gas and the only way she is currently soothed is hanging onto the boob. She is currently asleep but if I move her she wakes up and fusses. I am already running on fumes.
I'm sorry PikoPiko. You're not an alien! You're so dedicated to feeding your kid by whatever means is best, even when that seems to be a moving target for you. You're superwoman.
Thanks, lilyelayne. I'm still trying the whole BF thing. I've gone a whole 24hr BFing since 11am yesterday morning. This afternoon I cracked out a bottle at the class out of convenience and also giving my nipples a break. I guess next week I'll bring my cover and try NIP for the first time.
It's weird how people are so anti bottles and formula around here. What's it to them anyway?!

Ugh, we had that problem a couple weeks ago. The more LO ate, the worse he got cos he got soooo bloated. Hopefully this passes soon. I found that putting him on his tummy really helped him fart it all out. Good luck!

Exactly! This is easier said than done (and I struggle with it too), but don't let them upset you. You shouldn't give them the power over your emotions and your reaction.

So true! I had absolutely no support in my family or otherwise when I started breastfeeding the first time. It almost stopped me before I even started but with my august 2012 bumpies I made it two years
You've been fighting so hard for this, don't let anyone dull your sparkle. If they want to judge that just shows their bad character. You do you momma!

I also gave formula and do it this time too, sometimes letting your sore nipples take a break and having a little sanity is better than breast milk. As long as you feed them why should anyone say anything?
The doctor said it wasn't bad and her tummy issues are probably caused by reflux. The nurse, burp, nurse technique is what he suggested. LO seems to be feeling much better today. He said I'm producing more milk than her stomach can hold. So I pumped and stored 15oz today. She's still spitting up though, just not as much.
Did you pump 15oz in one sitting? Because if so, holy shit, batman!
I wish I was that cool. I'd sell it if I was. It was 3 sittings.
I know LO would sleep for at least 4 hours if I hold him, but I never do it mostly because I'm sleepy and I don't trust myself to hold him well if I fall asleep. Maybe one of these nights I'll tough it out to let him sleep.
So pedi can't help me with the lip tie which I was kind if expecting. He said ds does have one but that it shouldn't effect nursing and if it is to go buy a nipple shield. Gee thanks doc. So I'll be calling a pediatric dentist tomorrow
Also anyone else have a 12 pound one month old? Holy crap no wonder my back kills me.
He's over 13 lbs using the home scale method. We'll get an official weigh in next week.
Pediatric dentist did LO's lip and tongue tie revisions, so you may want to google one that does revisions. The LC I hired diagnosed a lip and posterior tongue tie and said that there's almost always a tongue tie if there's a lip tie. LO couldn't nurse with the shield, so it may not help. To some extent he was and still is using letdown to get milk out instead of drawing it out, hence our really long sessions. And why my supply sucks and we have to supplement to keep his weight up. There's no guarantee the revisions will help nursing, but it won't hurt.
LO is starting to maybe relearn how to nurse now that the ties are cut. I will say that you should do the exercises after they eat and not before because my LO becomes inconsolable and can't or won't latch even though he's hungry.

Holy hormones, y'all. Today has been in no way extraordinary but I've been either crying or really angry on and off all day. Sure hope tomorrow is better.

I also posted this in spam, but it's the end of the day so not many people are reading it. And it's not enough to start a new thread.
Okay, TMI question. For about the past week, I've been bleeding after sex. Not hardly anything, like three drops. I just see it a little while later in my underwear. Is it worth a call to my OB?

Hmmm... It's not too much but, it keeps happening. Wouldn't hurt to call and talk to a nurse to be sure.

Ds just thanked me for his breast milk by throwing it all back up down my shirt. Lovely. Good times.
Aw man! That was me Monday morning.
Aw isn't it the worst? Im happy and sad other moms relate haha.
I also cleaned out my closet and lost 16 pairs of shoes. My freaking feet grew during pregnancy! I knew it could happen but was hoping they were already big enough so it wouldn't. Hello size 11 shoes.

allonsy221b sorry your feet grew but high five to another large foot lady. I hate trying to find cute shoes in my size. I was in a boutique today and I'm pretty sure the display shoe was a size 5. Also every salesperson gives me the side eye when I ask for a 10 or a 10.5, like I don't know my own shoe size, just because I'm 5'2".

I know when I intro a bottle it will make sense for DH to take over the bedtime feed but it's my favorite of all. Maybe DS schedule will change a bit and H can take the first morning feed instead.

I hate when I ask for a size and they're like " the biggest is a 9 but I'll check, oh I did find a 10.5!"
Its hard, I just go to dsw so I can find them myself and skip the salespeople
