Yep, DS is back to waking up once or twice at night and my boobs don't like it. They were so sore yesterday and it felt like he never caught up to them. I hand expressed the side he didn't eat from in the morning, but they were both very full all day. I may need to break out the pump again this morning and just do a couple of minutes.
LO slept for nearly 7 hours. I got up when it was about 5 1/2 hours because my boobs were angry and there was no baby stirring in sight. Pumped one side with the electric pump and got maybe an ounce. And the battery died after 15 minutes. Pumped the other with the manual pump and got 2 ounces before he awoke and chowed down. I should've pumped the lazy side with the manual, but I was tired at that point.
My boobs are not ready for sleeping through the night. I'm considering getting up when they hurt even if he's going to sleep, pumping and then sleeping until he's ready to get up. I just wish I could figure out the bad response to the pump since lazy boob feels like it still has milk in it but stops putting out. I kind of wish there was a way to test drive pumps before purchasing one because I think I would've gone with the Phillips electric Advent since I get better response with the manual version than I do with my electric Medela Freestyle.
I have to massage during pumping and stimulate multiple letdowns to empty my breasts.
Ditto. My DH says I literally look like I am milking myself when I do it but it really does help.
I out DD in her swing so I could get dressed to go for a run. But she has been quiet so I am currently sitting on the stairs fiddling on the internet instead of heading outdoors.
Bought nursing tanks when I was still pregnant. I was totally expecting to be so boobtastic and bought the next size up. Well, the twins didn't get that much bigger. Oh well, I guess I'll return the boob pads I never needed and spend the refund on new tanks. (Totally bragging out of jealousy of the STTN moms - I don't leak. Even when LO suddenly unlatches, I don't even drip, milk only flows when there's suction.)

I am quite jealous of that. DD starts crying in the shower and my boob shoots milk for at least a minute. Not leaks shoots milk. And I don't use pass I use a lot diaper in my tanks at night because I leak so much

Definitely jealous. The other night he was taking a while getting latched on and I leaked all over my bra and soaked the blanket I drape across my lap. Then yesterday afternoon he unlatched and I sprayed right in his face.

I only leak when LO is nursing MOTN or morning. I use a breast shell on the second side to collect the milk for storage. I don't leak after about 9 am.

I am so jealous. This is what happens to the other side when I'm feeding one side in the middle of the day. Bra, breast pad, and tank top. All soaked.
Also, I pump before bed pretty much every night so I don't have to worry about engorgement waking me up at 3.
Ah, all these STTN babies, why hasn't my LO joined that club??? My bar is set way low here, I'm celebrating when he sleeps for 2hrs straight.
Lol DS is not a member of that club either.
Neither is dd, I was happy when she was only waking once in the night, now we are back to 2x. I am hoping once we get through this wonder week/spurt it will improve but am not overly optimistic. She is also fighting going back to sleep the first time she wakes up.
Omg. Whyyyy does ds scream bloody murder when we try to put him down. He hates going to bed lol . I tell him "you will not win!"
That's no fun!!! Do you have white noise or any kind of projector playing? We have a fisher price aquarium that lights up and has fish swim around. It gives DS something to preoccupy him while he doses off.

I'm jealous anytime someone mentions giving the boob as a tried & true soothing technique. If DS is not hungry he wants nothing to do with it. In the unfortunate event that he is both starving & exhausted, instead of finding comfort nursing he just screams at my nipple. He's a champion eater but if he's upset it's like my boob offends him further. So I had to nurse fussbucket while bouncing on the yoga ball tonight. PikoPiko I thought of you. Baby's obviously the boss around here.

Yes he doesn't self soothe yet so it's the getting him to sleep pre- rnp that's hard

Mine does this too. I'm like "my boob is in your mouth dude. Just eat." But he just cries while bobbing.
The boss is suddenly nice this week and I can't help but think there's something bad brewing! With DH gone, he fusses a lot less during his night routine. I feed him once between 8-10pm, then he sleeps for 3-4 hours without fussing.
I bathed him just now and he is fighting sleep a bit. I hope this is not a sign that he is regressing. He hasn't pooped today, I'm scared i'll find a big production MOTN.
misshart00, wow, you weren't kidding about the leaking! I didn't know how uncommon it is to not leak until I started going to a new mom group. Maybe those milksavers can help with your laundry problem? I hear people are collecting 2oz from those bad boys during nursing!
Ugh the poison ivy is itching! Ds slept for 5 hours (4.5 hours of sleep for me) and now I can't go back to sleep. I've already put stuff on it an covered back with bandaids so I can't scratch but the calamine isn't working well.

What's up with the 5am fussiness? Seems like a lot of babies do the same. DS always struggles with gas around 5am and needs to be held. Like a sucker, I always give in and cuddle for hours.
The LC confirmed DS has a lip tie but told me to see a dentist and pedi about it. She says he's got a pretty severe one that might affect his teeth.
The fix is quick and only hurts for a little while. Have them check for a tongue tie as well since there's almost always a tongue tie when there's a lip tie. LO's tongue tie was a deep posterior one so it could be felt but was hard to see.
Hope you can get it fixed soon and fixing it leads to less sore boobs and deeper latches.
