rvamama I keep a "praise" folder. We use Outlook at work, so I created a special folder just for praise. When I'm feeling down and out, I'll go through my praise folder. It's a reminder that I don't really suck and that I can do it and have already done it!
I also love checklists. I create them to cross things off. Crossing things off a list is super rewarding for me.
jnowmalvo I keep a notebook and each day start a new page of tasks. Do you categorize? I simply go down the line when a new tasks comes across me that needs handling. I'm constantly going up and down, even flipping back to make sure I got to everything (some things just carry over...)

SOMEONE SEND ME REESES PIECES CUPS! please. I cant find them anywhere. Ill love you for eternity. Although, i do already. So thats not a good bribe. Shhhh.
We are also on the sick baby train. No fever, but so. much. snot. And a cough that kept waking him up last night. Hes almost lost his voice! :/ Also, HFM is going around the school again. YAY.
rvamama I don't always categorize. I do when things are super overwhelming. In those cases, I do high, medium and low priority. High gets knocked out first, and so on. But I also do what jnow does... knock out some easy tasks and then devote the rest of my day to the big stuff.
ruemorgan I found one gas station that had them a couple of weeks ago. I can go look for more for you! Not sure how they'll do getting to you from AZ tho. Ha ha.
ruemorgan we have them in Richmond!! malvo maybe I'll try categorizing and see if that helps me focus on tasks better. My mind is always moving onto the next thing!
rvamama, my best advice is fake it till you make it! I live by those words some days. Pretend you have confidence. It sounds silly but it helps. I was in a regulatory industry for a few years and had to tell people what to do. I hated it but I'd give myself a pep talk and fake that I was comfortable and did great at my job. One day you won't be faking it. I also think everyone else had much better ideas! ruemorgan, I found the Reece's cups at Publix in the checkout. That's the only place in GA I've seen them. I'll send some if you want!
bekbek that's a good idea actually. I will give it a try. I know how to do what I'm doing, but I'm so nervous and have big shoes to fill (c was an amazing agent!) that I get down on myself. But I know I know this stuff so I'll try acting like it. I really want the job, I don't want a "lack of confidence" to keep me from getting it. Thanks!!

rvamama, just catching up now! I know how diffcult it can be to feel like you don't know as much as you should. But, you definitely know more than you think. I would make small task lists of things each day and just start tackling them one by one. Organization is also key, not just for productivity but also confidence. When you have everything together you feel much better. I would also try not to compare yourself to C, you are totally different people and I would bet there are many things that you are better at than her and vice versa. Just remember that you are totally capable of rocking this new position and everyone else will see it too
