DH went back to work today. So it's my first day home alone with DD and DS. I cried when he left. I'm not ready for this.
DH is back to work today too. So far, were surviving. The hardest part is making sure DD1 doesn't try to pick up the babies or put food in their mouths. Lol
Well, we switched to cervadil because I started having pretty good contractions even before they got the cytotec started. Did that for a bit starting around midnight or so, and the contractions got really bad. Walked around for a while, now I'm settled into a glider and much more comfortable. Did my first part of the antibiotics.
Finally was at about 4cm and 80% effaced around 3:30am, so they took the cervadil out. Haven't started pitocin yet, but the contractions are still going strong.
Hope your day goes smoothly annapunkalunka We decided that we are going to Michigan for a family wedding. We leave Thursday for the 10 hour drive. I'm a little nervous because E isn't always the happiest in her car seat and I've never traveled with a little newborn.
I'm eating left-over birthday cake that my mom made...it's 10am. I figure I may as well take advantage of the perks of pregnancy these last few weeks. No regrets!

Hope you enjoy the trip! And the ride goes smoothly. Where in Michigan if you don't mind my asking?

It's been a busy morning. Had my next check-up this morning and was 3cm and thinning. Booked a NST for tomorrow, another BPP ultrasound for Friday, and induction next Monday morning if he doesn't come before then.
However, I'm having some pretty good contractions right now about 10 min or so apart (last I watched a clock anyway) and have been since I woke up. Thinking about going for a bit of a walk since it cooled down today, but I should probably spend some time actually timing these things.

Good luck! We drove to my inlaws (6 hours) when R was 6 weeks old and it went way better than I had expected. I pumped in the car and bottle fed so when we stopped, we could do quick diaper changes/bathroom breaks and get back on the road. If i didn't do that, it would have taken like 3 extra hours to get there.

Does anyone have good ideas on how to get a dog to quit licking a bare spot? I have to gwt back at the cleaning stuff today. Been slacking big time. I really really don't want to though. MIL is coming over with my BIL so he can mow our grass since our park is bitching at us. All I really want to do is go enjoy the nice day we're having.

I'm trying to time these things and feel really silly that I'm having a hard time doing so. There's definitely a break in between but I'm having a hard time figuring out when a contraction is starting. Almost seems like I'm really only feeling the peaks right now and for some reason it's making it hard to figure out how frequent they are.

We will be in Taylor which is about 30 minutes south of Detroit.
How's it going cbrandt1? Are you having a baby right now??
Today is my second to last day of work! It's gonna be a busy one since it's our first day back after being closed last week. I anticipate many messages and emails to return. At least it'll make the day fly by!

My dog has allergies so I'm familiar with hot spot licking. I got this spray from the pet supply store that numbed and cleaned it. I think it's allercaine. The numbing helped him not lick it.
serendipity731, no...I wish! I'm laying in bed trying to take a nap but I can't turn my mind off.
I'm officially at DS1's gestation day, 39+5. I never in a million years thought I'd make it this far on number 2. The contractions always seem to pick up in the afternoon and evening then stop shortly after going to bed. It's really messing with my mind and making it really hard to plan anything.
IIRC, some of you ladies were discussing the Spectra pump and prefer it to the medela? I'm super late on ordering mine but I was gonna try and do that today.

I hope these contractions pick up LadyNymeria! I hate timing them. The ones I've been having are also difficult to time because it's hard to tell when they finish. I actually haven't bothered timing for a while and I don't plan to unless they increase in intensity to a point where I'm in a decent amount of pain.

I know kinda where that is. We're kinda from the Detroit area. Well not really but it's the closest biggest city to use as a reference point. Detroit is where Jackson's hospital is at. Hope you enjoy your trip. Perfect time for a wedding!

LadyNymeria I only had back pain/labor. For over 3 hours at home I was in denial and thought it was my sciatica. If it wasn't for my H I wouldn't of gone to the hospital for many many hours. I still feel so silly for "not knowing the difference" but as another FTM how would we?
Sending you good vibes and hope it's the real deal for you!
