Em's new thing is to suck up a mouthful of milk and spit it all over my floor/couch/ottoman whatever.
It's driving me insane. Like she needs to drink but cannot deal with the milk spitting shit.
How do I get her to stop it?!
LO does this sometimes. We just tell him that milk or water or whatever is for drinking and not for playing and then we take it away. If she's getting dairy other places (cheese, yogurt, whatever) then I wouldn't be too concerned about her not getting a bunch of milk until she figures it out.

Lemmejussay... I'm on a red wine hiatus after this weekend. Idk what got into me but I got super lit in front of my family and was embarrassingly hungover yesterday morning. I acted a fool I'm pretty sure, but at least it was just my immediate family there. But still.... Ugh. Embarrassing.

Oof. This morning started out rough but is mproving as the day goes on. Dh said our coffee maker just stopped making coffee halfway through its cycle. And when I went to start our laundry, our washer wouldn't start. It's working now, but I don't really know what I did to fix it other than mash the button a bunch of times, swear at it, and unplug it. We went to storytime this morning. Lo sat nicely for the stories and played really well with the kids. He had a lot of fun.... right up until he walked into the corner of a table and got a big goose egg on his head. Ah, Mondays.
littlelion hope your day gets better! laceysbryan hangovers suck. I swear the older I get, the worse they are!

Yup. Lo's new favorite thing is to flip his sippy over and watch the drips come out. We take it away. We also limit milk to mealtimes so he's contained at the table and can't get it all over the carpet/furniture. We give him a sippy with water that he can go anywhere with.

This. Only allowed to have milk in her high chair.
Took LO to the park to play at the splash pad-she had sooooo much fun and is now sleeping it off like a sorority girl after pledge week. Hoping it's a nice long nap so I can get all my homework done. Hoping for a storm this afternoon and some chill time with my kids before clinical tomorrow. Trying to keep a namaste outlook on life these days.

Aaaand Monday continues... shrunk 2 brand new shirts in the wash and my period just won't quit with the spotting. If you're going to start, just start.
I. Am. Sore. And tired. Had a blast at my hockey tournament this past weekend. We played 3 games, won 2 of them. The only game we lost was to a team from MN. We were hoping the elevation would be our advantage (Oktoberfest in Breckenridge, CO: elevation 9,600 ft), but not so much. They were super nice and friends with two people from our team so the loss didn't sting one bit. LO stayed with my parents and it sounded like she had fun. They said she is quite a handful and they tired each other out. She knocked over a plant stand my mom had in the corner of her dining room. You know the type: tall, lots of shelves, absurdly top heavy. DH stayed behind due to his knee surgery last week. He's doing better, but started bruising on his leg. He's not happy about being dependent on me, but he's making due of his situation. His dad was here helping take care of him while I was gone. I have officially started house hunting! I called the realtor last week and let him know I wanted to started looking right away. The neighbor's dogs have started to get a little out of control and are trying to bite her through the chain link fence, which she sometimes sticks her hands through. Not cool. I don't know why, but I am craving fried chicken for dinner. I better get to the store.
ourcrazynavylife, I am dealing with a messy toddler too...who refuses to sit in his chair to eat these days.
laceysbryan, been there done that. hopefully no real drama ensued, a little silliness can be forgotten. My brother still likes to remind me when I got drunk and kept asking him to check my eyes because I couldn't remember if I had taken my contacts out.
ashlantic, that's always my go to solution: reboot!

Felt much better after lunch, esp after DH called and sounded like he actually listened to my issue and didn't get upset because I brought it up (money issues of course). I forget he isn't like me, all sensitive and stuff.
I can't believe it's 3 o'clock already! Can't say I've been very productive at work. I can't seem to concentrate.

ourcrazynavylife B will sometimes do this to. We are in the only offer milk at the table though so the mess is on his tray. I also try (not always successful ha) to not give a big reaction either..hope she stops soon! laceysbryan agree with ashlantic hangovers are way worse as I get older! Probably you are imagining yourself worse than you were? ashlantic hope your electronics stop revolting and that your LOs goose egg isn't too bad! (B got one that looked rough last night but was mostly gone by this morning) kcrus lol at sleeping like a sorority girl...that's what I need B to do! Hope you got all your stuff done! BabyStandish yay!!! So happy for you! raven tournament sounds fun! Congrats on all the wins! Hope yh gets better soon and the house hunt goes well littlelion glad your day got better! Yay for Yh listening with no drama, now if he could call mine haha!

So today started crappy, had to drive mh to his job where he's staying for the week and it's about 40 min away. Well there was a big backup on the way back and it took almost two hours! After that we actually had a really nice day though. We went to storytime at the library, got lunch at panera , and shopped quick at target. (Although only way to keep him in the cart is my phone on YouTube) after his nap we did finger painting set I got on clearance and played outside with the neighbors. I think his sleeping problem is a separation anxiety phase, so instead of holding him I sit in his room until he falls asleep. Still sucky but I figure I can gradually stay in less time (but his hearing is incredible and the slightest creak in the floor will wake him, ah) Gotta go get everything ready and finish my lesson plans for tomorrow!!
