Is your child into bikes?
DD has a balance bike and she hasn't been a big fan but she's been more into it since our neighbor has been riding his. She pretty much just walks with it between her legs and hasn't nailed gliding at all yet. She still can't really petal anything, and I'm considering getting a bike with training wheels since she isn't a big fan of trikes. I would also love to get one of those bikes you attach to the back of a big bike, but the reviews say that their kids couldn't reach the petals until 4+ and my child is tall but has very short legs so I'm not sure that would work. Also problematic is that I don't own a bike. DH does, so he could use that contraption with her, or I could get a bike. I would also love for the kids to try balance bikes with skis in the winter, but I don't think we'll buy. DS (2) is much more into riding toys but he usually chooses to ride the trike and then can't keep up with DD on her balance bike.
In other news, DD has cross country skis and I'm trying to figure out what DS will do this year. I would love to have one of those sleds that attach to one's hips or rent one, but they don't seem widespread.
We haven't signed up for any classes this year because I'm trying to hold off on the winter illnesses for as long as possible, and I feel like pools, gyms, etc. tend to make us sick.
