I don't know how you do it. This no dairy thing is hard and it's only the first day.
The first few days were the hardest!! I'm totally used to it now. I also cheat now and then.
I only have to do it for a week thankfully. But it's compounded by the fact that I also can't have any salt. Well I can have kosher salt because there is no iodine. But everything processed has salt in it.
DSs new thing is to wake up half an hour after being put down for more nursing before going to bed for real.
So he nurses, sleeps for half an hour, wakes up and nurses more before sleeping his long stretch
ditto. Kind of. Baby I nurses to sleep on one side. Then when I think he's out I unlatch him and he jolts awake all bright eyed and bushy tailed, mister gigglesworth, baby push-up-er extraordinaire. It's adorable. Except it takes him another half hour to settle for real. Sometimes I find it unamusing but then I realize he's still down for the count by 9 anyway so it's really fine.

We're probably going to get rid of the cosleeper soon. He's doing his first two stretches in his room and his last in bed with us. It makes me happy/sad. My baby is growing up!
According to my SIL who had 4 kids with MSPI you can still eat goat cheese. The intolerance is from the cows protein. I've been eating it here and there without issue.
As for ice cream, I eat the So Delicious almond milk ice cream sandwiches. I tried a pint of coconut milk ice cream and the texture was terrible. Maybe the almond or cashew milk ones will be better?

I'll have to find some goat cheese that's actually made with goat's milk. Maybe Whole Foods? Everything at Publix is made with cow's milk. Makes no sense! My DS has allergies to coconut, almond, and cashew so I'm avoiding those with DD just to be safe until she's old enough to be tested. I've been doing rice milk ice cream when I'm desperate but it's just okay.
...and now I'm glad I don't have publix. Goat cheese made with cows milk?!?
