Can you guys help a new preschool parent out? DD1 has a cold. Her preschool handbook specifically says don't come in after a variety of other things, but nothing about colds. I'm home so it's no trouble for her to stay home, but she'd like to go I'm sure. My instinct is to keep her home. What am I actually supposed to do?
I'm with dc2london on this. If you don't need to send her, I wouldn't. On top of not wanting to share her cold, school is so tiring for them that you wouldn't want her to feel worse from pushing it when sick. I hope she feels better soon!
kokopelli oh no so sorry. Hope they figure out the cause.
gratefulgirl i send DD to school unless she has a fever. If I kept her home for colds that first year of daycare she'd never be there. Plus I'd lose my job. My theory was she got the cold from one of the other kids so I couldn't feel to bad.

gratefulgirl I did the same as dc2london, figuring I was home anyway & didn't want to pass along germs to the kids whose parents would have to use a sick day.
kokopelli I'm so sorry you're dealing with this now! Fingers crossed that you get good answers quickly & whatever it is is easily treatable.
steph & venyia I'm sorry you both had stressful days with your bigger kids!
dc2london I'm glad you got a teeny bit of sleep at least. Hopefully the anxiety rolls back out soon!
My tiny dictator has started his night stretch an hour earlier (7 instead of 8) everyday this week. In turn, he has been waking up starting his alert/playtime at 7am instead of 930. Ummm..no sir. I won't stand for this nonsense.*
*I mean obviously I'll deal, but come to the internet to complain about it.
