I thought of on today at the gym. I have the hardest time with left and right. If I have a point of reference like driving in the car I am good. Today at yoga though she would say take your left foot, or your right hand and at first I had to figure out ok in this room what is left and right by looking at my hands, and my wedding ring on my left. I have always been that way. I can't just off the bat tell you left or right with out thinking about it?!?!
This really isn't bad but it popped into my mind while folding clothes earlier.
Both of our kids really need me to swap their clothes out for the next size but I'm waiting until fall hits so I don't do it now for summer clothes and then have to turn right around and do fall clothes. So basically I'm lazy.
I also realized the other day that our little guy can handle 3T shirts (large but not ridiculous). So now I can pack one set of emergency clothes in 3T and know I can cover either kid
I really need to get DS some new clothes for fall. Right now his longest pants look like capris and his little belly hangs out under his long-sleeved shirts. Hopefully the weather doesn't turn colder before I get a chance to go shopping, because I have no idea what he'd be wearing to preschool!

This is like my little guy - his belly is hanging out some of the shirts

TCP has a good sale right now! And I might have some Place Cash I am not using that I can send you.

summer , I LOOOVE the Great British Bake-Off. Have you tried out the pbs app? We watched it on there.
Did you hear that Mel and Sue are leaving? The show won't be the same without them.
I have watched the seasons PBS has aired, but as I said, I'm obsessed, lol.
I just saw that Mel and Sue quit when they show moved channels. I'm so sad. I don't know if or how the show will survive without them. I read that a lot of the bakers are really upset about them leaving, too. Save

I just bought my kiddos a fall/winter wardrobe. DS1 has been wearing his 2t pj's for a year. They were starting to look a little silly. I got some pretty good deals at carters and Oshkosh.
I have been conducting car seat checks (I'm a CPST) at a local breastfeeding group. My FFFC- I can't believe how clueless people are. Like read the manual. No where does it say you can use the latch and the seatbelt. But I do love helping people. Hopefully they are appreciating my help.

I was just telling my H this. My SIL has no idea how to install either of her car seats.

This drives my DH crazy. He was so annoyed with me when I insisted on having our car seats checked before DS, before DD, and before a road trip (we had switched car seats around between the first and second/third of those events). He was like, I did just what the manual said. It's not that hard. And of course, the CPST said they were fine. But he doesn't understand how people can get it wrong either. Save

summer, at least he read the manual. That's the most common issue! There is no CPST at our local hospital and there was one TINY baby I checked whose straps didn't even get close to tight enough. I can't imagine how the hospital let them leave. But they didn't read the manual and it wasn't on the smallest setting for a tiny babe.

The only check out hospital did when leaving with both girls was to make sure they were in a carseat. They didn't check settings or installation at all. My DH was one that didn't even believe the certified person at the fire station that you can't use the seat belt and latch. He did it quite often. As soon as he would go out of town to work I would fix it.

No one has ever checked our installation either. With DS1 and DD2, we used a convertible straight from birth, so they didn't even make sure we had a CAR SEAT! we did, obviously....
But we have the area CPST headquarters right in my hospital, too, and they offer (mandate) parents attend their Car Seat Safety class. I let myself be pushed into it once, but then have refused to do it since. I point out that I've had 3 babies in the past 3 years, read my manuals, installed my own seats, and had them checked by THEIR CPST techs. I'm golden. Besides, most boring 45 minutes of my life. But, in the one class that I did attend, there was a couple who literally opened their seat from the box in the class. They'd never looked at it, didn't know how to use it, AND didn't have one small enough for their baby. They had a FF only seat, not a convertible.
