Just got 3 hours out of E. Not too bad. He was super cranky this evening. He's got to poop, he just can't figure out how to relax and let it happen. So he screams and squeals instead.
I'm up here, I got a stretch of close to 4 hours tonight and then 3 hours. Even if the rest of the night goes to crap I feel like a brand new person since I probably got 2-3 hours of sleep each time.
kerbear this was our first night that didn't happen. I had been having major issues being able to put DS2 down. He wouldn't even want DH to hold him. I felt like all he wanted was to fall asleep at the boob and not be disturbed.

Good morning! We got 2 nice stretches broken up by a period of up every hour. I'm still freaking out about nursing and supply and latch now though so trying to make her eat as much as possible at each waking. She is gaining weight some so ped didn't want us to wake at night if she was still up several times so at least I don't have to do that.
I did notice she nursed much better from my right side using the boppy overnight so I may try that during the day as well.

We're up again after another decent stretch. I'm going to need to destroy the RNP so I stop using it. Whyyyyyy can't you like your cosleeper that much, dude!?

+1 i swore we wouldn't use it overnight again, yet here we are. I'm hoping to transition him out of it sooner rather than later this time.

kerbear she didn't really say anything negative but I guess the underlying guilt came through probably more on my end. There was no helpful information about building a supply rather than just keep the baby with me around the clock nursing on demand which isn't realistic for me when I go back to work in a few short weeks not to mention if I ever want to run an errand by myself. Her latch also takes forever so for now I just think EPing is a better option. The nursing stressing me beyond belief.

Hey everyone! Bit of a random place to pop in unannounced, but can I join in? Our little Zoë was born on Wednesday we expected her to stay put till October but I got induced for IUGR, GD and low waters. She's doing really well! BFing suuuucked with my 1st but it's been going ok with her, she sleeps well and is courteous enough to squeak before crying. I can't ask for more at the moment!

watermelonseed I ended up EPing with DS. I pumped every time he napped and MOTN. After a week or so it became routine, saved a lot of crying (from both of us). Hopefully it works for you guys too!

Stressing out over everything having to do with nursing now. I ordered mothers milk capsules and added brewers yeast and flax seed to the oatmeal container for my breakfast in hopes of increasing supply so far. We pretty much spent the day attached to each other as well. The in laws are here for the weekend which has actually worked well since they help distract the toddler and mil has been making all the meals so I can just sit and nurse all day.
We started bedtime at ~8:30 tonight and she has woken up every 30 minutes wanting to nurse so far. On the bright side, lots of nursing to hopefully increase supply but 10pm isn't really when I want or need the boost!
He keeps choking on mucous or something so I'm not able to sleep much at all. Every noise startles me awake in such a panic and everything feels so urgent and DH doesn't move fast enough for me to consider him helpful at the moment.
Also, apparently my room is absolutely freezing, but I'm over here sweating my ass off...fun times that postpartum.
cbrandt1 I was that way with DS1, I couldn't cool down. DH was wearing a sweatshirt and I was sweating profusely. I didn't seem to notice it as bad this time.
