Sorry for the rough night jennybeans and olive. I hope they get better!
A has decided that sleep is for the birds tonight. He finally went down at 12:30 only to wake up at 12:50. He's finally asleep again so I'm holding him for a few before putting him down. Hopefully this time he's down longer. Usually he gives me a good few hours.
Sorry to hear about the bigger kid wake-ups! DD has always been a sound sleeper, but I've been amazed at how she sleeps right through LO crying at night. She woke up on our first or second night home & was concerned, but I explained LO was fine & she hasn't woken up since. We have white noise going in both rooms, so maybe that helps.
We're up for the second time. LO went down easily, so I assume he'll get cranky after this feeding - he always seems to fight going down at the beginning of the night or after the second wake-up, sometimes both.

R slept from about 11 to 4:30, which was great. He woke up and was really wet so I changed him then nursed him. While nursing he loaded his diaper so when he was done with the side I changed him. 5 min into the second side he loaded his diaper again then passed out.
Obviously couldn't leave him sitting in it so I changed him again which woke him back up. Now he's staring at me, smiling and cooing instead of going back to sleep and doesn't even seem interested in more nursing which is what puts him to sleep the best.
Horrible night. C was still miserable from his 2 month vaccines. He also has been spitting up a ton. I'm wondering if it's related to the rotavirus vaccine. I know DS1 reacted to that one at his 4 month appt.
I think DS must be having bad dreams or something. He doesn't usually wake at night which is why it's so weird for us. We tried to pull him in bed with us at one point last night but he just wanted to chat then so DH took him back to his room and eventually just left him in there to go back to sleep since he had calmed down. He sleeps through E crying which is great. E slept through DS's wake up but didn't want to go back in her crib at 5:30 so I put her in the swing. I just moved her back to the crib expecting her to wake immediately for the day (7:30 is our usual time) and she kept sleeping. Stinker!
NJgirl84, that stinks! We have an overnight trip to Chicago the day after our 2 month appointment next week. Not looking forward to having to deal with a potentially cranky baby and a trip. Hopefully it passes quickly for C.

Does it count as motn if I've already been up with E 3 times since I put her to bed? Trying to nurse her again now to see if that will help her finally pass out. Fingers crossed...

What time is everyone putting their little down at? I usually aim for 8-8:30 only cuz DS goes to bed at 7 and is up at 6. Since I have to wake up with DS I try to get to sleep about 9.

Whenever he happens to fall asleep. I just feed him when he's hungry and once it's late enough (usually sometime 7 to 8-8:30) he falls into a deep enough sleep after nursing that I consider that "down" for the night.

I also aim for 8-8:30. DD (age 3) goes to bed at 7:30 pm & gets up sometime between 7-8 am. Ideally, I get to do a book & snuggles with DD & then feed LO, though his cluster feeding has forced me to have DH take care of DD's full bedtime routine several times.

We are usually between 8-8:30 lately. That backfired today since E's last nap ended at 6 and I tried to wait the 2 hrs for bed which was wayyy too long of wake time for her and resulted in an hour long bedtime and 4 hour stretch versus a good night of 5-6... not sure how to handle that going forward other than to be more aware earlier in the evening to manage naps and try to protect bedtime better or move bedtime forward by a whole hour?
We try and start bed time at 9. She's usually down sleeping by 10. It takes longer to put her down because I have to hold her straight up for 30 mins after she eats. She slept tonight from 10:30-4. I'm hoping she'll go right back down so I catch some more sleep. It'll be the best night I've had of sleep so far if she does!

We do "bedtime" around 10/1030 (when we usually go to bed), but he sleeps downstairs in the living room most nights starting around 8. Then I'll try for a dream feed when we go to bed.

We seem to be moving the first wakeup earlier and earlier each night lately 😪. Bedtime was 8 tonight based on when E napped and how ready she was and only 4 hours to the first wake. Still thankful she is going 4 but wondering where her longer stretches went? (plus that means I only got 2).. She's been going longer between eating in the day (3 hours) and Im thinking I need to be more aware & trying to coax her to eat every 2 hours instead. 😴
We're up for LO's usual first feeding. He went down around 8 pm & I was in bed by 8:30, but I'm still dragging for some reason. jennybeans - I hope E goes back to giving you longer stretches (for you & to give me hope that I will consistently get more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep at some point in the next few weeks since I think our LOs are a full month apart?).
We just got a 9:30-3 stretch. Currently holding her up straight until 4. I can't wait till she grows out of reflux so I can just put her down without waiting!
I'm so jealous of everyone's good nights! This kid does not want to be put down again and he is only going 2-3 hours. It's been 2.5 since the last feeding and I spent half that time shushing and patting while he slept on me. Now he is farting like crazy while he eats.
Also I noticed DH isn't in here, still in the toddlers room with him after his wake up 2 hours ago. Although I'm pretty sure he fell asleep in there with him.
caz1221, she is at least consistent with only 2 wake ups at night if that helps. Even waking at 12:30, the next wakeup is 4-4.5 hrs later (of course saying that will now jinx me!). That's what really makes me think it's something about the day & eating that is affecting the first stretch. We are also headed into a wonder week period so hopefully we come out on the other side back to 'normal'. The 6 week growth spurt was the point where the 5-7 hour stretches showed up so you have that coming soon too. I'm glad some of us are getting much longer stretches at least! NJgirl84, I hope your guy settles down and you are sleeping now. I have a feeling E is going into the swing after this wakeup - 5am is not our friend.
Well, it's not the MOTN, but here I am. LO has decided that doing a fantastic nap in his PNP from 2-4 pm today means bedtime has to be a challenge. We're ~1.5 hours in & he's been super cranky the whole time. I loved spending time with just DD while LO napped, but it meant I didn't get to nap, so I'm tired & just want to get in bed. Hope bedtime is going smoother for everyone else!
