I decided to try and let A sleep when E woke up (we've been doing "one up, both up" since birth) and of course, A woke up 30 minutes after E. So instead of being up for 30 mins, I've now been up for almost an hour to separately change then nurse each baby.
She did totally fine from noon until 10pm. Then it was like she was just done. Finally she just stayed without screaming so I got one 2 hour stretch of sleep.

We had a shockingly good night. I tried to wake him around 10 to eat but he was sleeping and wasn't feeling it, so I figured he'd wake me after an hour or so. Nope! Still held out til 230! Win!!
I'll never understand why they can't make them so baby can bake while doing skin to skin with mom. It would be so much better. I hope you get some sleep today!
We did half the night in the crib with 2 wake ups & now are back in the rnp in our room. Need some sleep! It's the awful fight to fall back asleep that drains me.
I think I'm going to put her in her crib. She is so loud. I'm not sure if she's sleeping or not. She's not crying she's just grunting constantly and I can't sleep through it. Maybe she will sleep like an angel in her crib!
We are up again. I got one hour of sleep between finally getting her settled in her crib and being up again. Now my plan is to sleep in the rocker with her after nursing so I can at least get a solid 2 hours. watermelonseed, I know that pain! We had been getting 3-4 hours for the first stretch (it's more like 2.5 tonight) but the rest of the night this past week has been a disaster. Lack of sleep is getting to me tonight...

E wakes up at 2 every night like clockwork. I could set my watch by it. And now he's eating and being SO loud. Grunting and groaning like it's his job.
I think I'm finally going to call our pediatrician and talk to one of the nurses about R's extreme gas and not being able to lay flat. I think something else is going on here besides regular baby gas. Suspecting possible reflux issues. He spits up and gets the hiccups frequently.

We have the same issues. I'm going to talk to his pedi at our appointment on Tuesday about starting reflux meds. If he's awake and not eating, 90% of the time he's doing this painful push/grunting noise. Poor kid is never content.
olive my last one was a grunter, drove me crazy. Hope this is just an off night for you guys jennybeans.
Cluster feeding over here. It's 3:20 and this is her third feeding since midnight. She's so cute and just kind of talks to you when she's hungry, no crying. Her sister would scream bloody murder.
annapunkalunka and singingsea DD was a loud grunter and her stomach would be rock hard overnight. Those were our only signs she had a dairy intolerance. But the grunting might be unrelated.
So far the longest stretch I've gotten was 2.5 hrs from 1:30-4 while holding DS2. The other 2 hr stretch DH held him. In the RnP the longest I got was an hour, shortest was nothing, he wakes right up when put down. DS1 wasn't like this at all.
