How much/long does your LO's nap during the day? I have a hard time getting DS to sleep during the day, and if he does fall asleep it's usually only for a short time like 10 maybe 20 min if I'm lucky.
The only way he will sleep longer is in the stroller if we go for a walk, but I have to keep walking. Or in the wrap or Ergo but we both get so sweaty it's hard to do for a long time.
I feel like he doesn't sleep enough and is overtired a lot. But maybe babies don't sleep more than this..?
My first would only take 20 minute naps every two hours from the third day of her life until around 4 months she started taking less, but longer naps. Now at 19 months she takes one nap a day that's anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. This baby sleeps so much more and I am so thankful. She's only awake for maaaybe 4-5 hours if you add up all the times she's awake during the day. And she's never stayed awake for more than two hours. But I do have to hold her or be next to her 90% of the time.
bocaburger It sounds VERY stressful to have two newborns vying for your attention at once. A toddler and a newborn is tough, but the toddler can somewhat understand. I admire the mamas of twins on here (also kaitkathollyberry). Although right now is very tough, I hope that you all are excited in the future when the kids interact with each other. That will be so special.
We took advantage of kids eat free at chipotle today. There was a family there with their two kids. The 18 month old was wearing nothing but a diaper. I thought this was kinda odd but hey kid coulda puked or something on his clothes so I get it that perhaps thy just didn't have clothes for him. I know i rarely carry around spare clothes for my big kids now. But then i saw the family's feet. The dad and son were barefoot. Inside the restaurant. Weird.
I should add I currently live in a suburb in Texas. This isn't a surf town and they very much didn't look homeless or like they couldn't afford shoes or clothes for the baby. It looked like a choice to go barefoot. A weird choice.
