Well, as soon as I rolled over to get out of bed and my boob wasn't in her face anymore she woke up. So I guess I have company while I take a break from trying to sleep!

Yesterday was 4 months for DS and he must have gotten the memo about sleep regression. He was up almost hourly. It was easy to get him back to sleep with a few pats or pacifier but gracious it was shock to our STTN routine!
Last night was MUCH better for us sleep regression wise. It was night three and rather than waking up every 3 hours and playing/fussing, he only woke up twice and stayed sleepy/fell right back to sleep! It's still more wakeups than usual for us, but I can handle that.
My only DC kiddo for the day had the sniffles yesterday so I'm waiting to hear from his Mom whether he will be coming or not...
My FIL came this morning to continue the work he and DH had started yesterday. He was supposed to come at 9. So I set my alarm for 8:45 so I could open up the garage so he could get to the tools.
At 8:25 the door bell started ringing so I answered it and it was an annoyed FIL saying, "YH said the garage door would be open. 😡"
I replied, "it would have been... At 9 that's what time I thought you were coming..."
"Oh..."
I mean really were we supposed to keep our garage door open all night? 🙄🙈

Sorry for all the bad nights for everyone 😴 We're still struggling here too. Going on 3 weeks now and I'm not sure what I should be doing differently. I've been letting her cry for 10-15 mins but that only upsets her and wakes her up more and it takes longer to get her back to sleep.
I took a "me" day because I feel like I'm about to have a breakdown. The kids are at daycare and hubby is working. I'm gonna try to relax and get a few things done. I'm gonna pick up an amber teething necklace and see if it helps DD's fussiness. Some people have sworn by them so I hope that's our case too.
Happy Monday! Parents of the year here....neither DH or I can remember last time DS1 got a bath!!! YEAH! We know it was within the last week, but it wasn't in the last 4 nights! It's been HECTIC...what can I say? He's getting the world's best bath tonight. And I'm not talking about the baby....but yes, the toddler!!! Poor kid.
I'm pumping at work. Looking up every natural way of increasing milk supply. Had my oatmeal this morning. Will start taking Brewer's yeast as well!
Yesterday, we went to a 3yr old b-day party. At the party were 3 other babies. A set of twins and a singleton, all born exactly ONE MONTH AFTER my little guy. Despite being the oldest, my little munchkin was the tiniest of things compared to them! I tried not to compare, and my DS1 is meeting his milstones, so really not a big deal. But my friend's family was SUPER obnoxious about how little he is and her weirdo sister could not SHUT UP about me having "to feed that baby"...and then her mom wanted to make sure it was breastmilk in the bottle I was giving him and going on and on about how my friend pumps enough milk for 3 kids and has a freezer-full already. Her mom is so weird and SO RUDE.
Sorry for all the shitty nights of sleep. We didn't have a stellar one either. @led, I hope someone is able to watch R for you so maybe you can sleep some?
babycaps, DD gets bathed daily but only because she asks for it. And because she is in charge of wiping herself all day at DC, which sometimes is.. not great. But DS got his first bath yesterday for the first time in probably 2 weeks. OOPS.
Also, try flax meal in your oatmeal? I actually like the texture of oatmeal better with flax in it.
DD starts a new room at DC today. Hopefully it goes well.
This bout of pink eye is no joke. I've officially been on antibiotics for >24 hours and it's still feeling weird. But it's not pink and goopy, so there's that.

We also probably don't bathe as often as I always like to 😕 And people def need to keep their opinions to themselves. How rude of her to ask if that's breastmilk... It's really none of her business!! I also respond really well to fenugreek supplements. Might be worth a try?
Taking DD to the school I used to work at today. It's my sisters bday and she works there so bringing her a treat. BBQ is in the crock pot for dinner and laundry is all clean but I'm choosing coffee over folding for now!

babycaps 😂 I'm cracking up over here bc this is a story my family will never let die. It goes... MH was 5yo when his brother and sister (twins) were born. Two weeks (!!!) after their birth, MH asked when he will have a bath again... his parents were so overwhelmed with the twins they forgot to bathe MH for two entire weeks. 😂😂😂 he's alive and well so don't feel bad!

That would normally be my sister or the neighbor girl. But my sister is in Kenya and the neighbor is back in school. Hopefully when h gets home I can get a nap, though. He's usually pretty good about letting me rest when I need it.
I got divebombed by a pair of mating dragonflies on the walk to the office today. It's officially a Monday.
Good for you taking some me time, cuppycakes. I need to do that too. Once I've turned in this big project on the 15th I'm taking a day off to do nothing but nap and binge watch crap tv.
A is feeling much better. She kept down her milk last night and chowed down this morning with no issues. She was even good enough to send to daycare. Now I'm just hoping that the rest of us avoid it.
Total Monday failure here. I ran out of time to make my lunch today and forgot to order a school lunch. Also didn't realize that there isn't any quick delivery places that deliver here. So I'm eating some stale mini wheat cereal and crackers from the vending machine. It's going to be a looooong afternoon!
k3am, good idea on also flax!! And also, I hope you feel better asap!!! cuppycakes, I took "mother's milk" pills (I believe that's what they are) this weekend and felt SO SICK like I couldn't hold my own babes I was light headed and dizzy. It drops blood sugar and I already have low blood sugar, so I think it wouldn't be so safe snoris, that's hilarious!!!
I also need to take some "me" time. but what is time?
We have a big retirement party today for one of my co-workers. The part is KICK ASS and it reminds me why I love working here. People really rally and come together and I really like my work family.
I can't believe it's 130 already! Last night was a nightmare ... Ry's ears are bothering him again he was up every hour and then from 515-745 he screamed there was nothing that settled him. Finally at 745 he passed out and slept till 12! I feel so bad for him but we're headed back to the pedi at 3

I hope the doctor can get things straightened out so he's not hurting anymore

I need to run to the store(15 minute drive) to pick up a few things for the hospital since what I take with me I can't take home but I'm so over today. I'm exhausted, my body is exhausted. Both kids were hard today. I'm looking forward to a bit of a break.
I think I'm going to leave DSs car seat in the car and just carrying him in the doctors office. He's getting so heavy for me with my back and it's usually so tight in there I end up running into things lol. I may just throw a onesie, a couple diapers, and some wipes in my purse and forgo the bigger diaper bag too lol

You're sounding a lot like an old hat at this whole mom gig..

I rarely carry baby I in his seat. He's always peering over my shoulder. He loves it up there. I also leave the diaper bag in the car most of the time and just run out and grab it if we need something.

I'm kind of excited for tomorrow. I am having lunch with a friend who may be interested in working with me for DC. If it works out we'd be licensed for more kids so it wouldn't negatively impact my income. I think having another adult present just in case I need help and just having an adult to talk to would decrease my stress. I hope it works out! I think we both understand it's not worth messing up our friendship over and if it works out, great, if not, bummer but okay.
