Our fall weather won't come until the weekend. So sick of the heat now. I'm oddly excited for winter because I need some relief from this summer heat.Which probably isn't too bad to begin with since I'm in Canada.
My husband had a conference this summer in Utah and said I physically would not be able to survive there with that kind of heat. I can't imagine.
H is gone until midnight+/- again today, we have a guy coming to do the final coat of mud on our basement walls so hopefully we can start painting tomorrow/Thursday. Then just final electrical, ceiling, and floors to be done!
It's supposed to be high 70s-80 the rest of this week here, then it suddenly drops into the 60s for at least 3 days. I'm hoping that weather will be here for good so we can shut off the central air and enjoy some open windows!
24 degrees here today, which I think is juuuuust fine. I have been able to have my ac off with windows open for at least a week now. I am being hyper vigilant about our hydro usage so it hasnt been totally comfortable but I am willing to deal. Our last few bills have been just below or just over $300 which is outrageous. Ive always been good about turning off and unplugging things so I have no idea WTF we have been paying for.
I also despise this weather because it's hard to get DD dressed when there's a 20 degree temperature swing during the day. ie I don't want her freezing or sweating.
today she wore a summer dress with a short sleeve t-shirt under it, shorts under the dress, socks and her fall boots. LOL oh and she put her fleece jacket on.
I'm excited for fall/winter too. This summer heat has been too much!
AFM- 2 big meetings today. I'm leading one. I feel a little awkward bc most people don't know I'm pregnant and I feel like I look awful w the bump, the acne, etc. (The bump is actually cute, it's just usually in hiding!)
Thought I was done with throwing up but this morning proved otherwise. This happened with my first pregnancy too but it's still a surprise when you feel sick again after a couple weeks of improvement. DS and I are finally able to get back to play group this morning after a long week last week with his cold. Can we skip cold and flu season this year please?

I'm ridiculously excited to go buy my phone case, the phone arrived sooner than I thought and I ordered one from amazon. It was not only dinky but the wrong size 😒 so I've just come to the conclusion to just splurge on a really good one, and have it forever

I'm almost positive I had a few Braxton hicks last night. I ended up looking it up and it is common and I do need to drink more water... seems it's the cure all. Also noticed it happened more when I had a full bladder, so weird.

I think I've been having them too and I've had to google it. I didn't have them last pregnancy so it's kind of weird even though I know it's normal. This pregnancy is so effing different lol. Chugging water as I type!!
I have an ultrasound tomorrow!! Getting a little excited but I have to admit, I am getting antsy too because I am team green and I know there may be the opportunity to find out the baby's sex! I'm 17 weeks today. God I want to know what this kid is, but I know I must be strong!!

I think it might be fall here sometime in late October. I'm wearing a cute new skirt today that I think can bridge the seasons if I wear it with tights.
I'm going up north next week, where it might actually be fall. My excitement for the outfits I'll get to wear for 24 hours of fall weather is ridiculous.
We had a really rough night last night. DD was up from 12-3 and again at 5:30. She usually sleeps from about 7-7 so this was unusual for her. I'm at work now and am worried that I maybe should get her to the ped in case she has an ear infection since she's had a cold since Friday. But she has no fever so DH thinks she's fine. Oh well, guess I'll just see how she does today/tonight and take her tomorrow since it's my day off if she still seems to be struggling. Today is a long day too since I have a meeting over work and my uncle will be in town (meeting me at work) for dinner. I'm excited to see him but would really like to just go to bed as soon as I get home.
Poor . Glad you made it to the restroom though Hope you feel better soon
Hi to the busy ones and all the crazy days. Cake doesn't even sound good >< I tried sweets again with a donut this morning. Might as well have saved my 50 cents. Blah.
Results from the genetic testing are in and I'm breathing again. Everything is normal. This is just another stubborn little boy holding his pee. Just want I need, ~grins~, another stubborn kid. As long as their healthy, I will go toe to toe with another. lol
I have pizza waiting for me downstairs. I cheated and had my groceries delivered. This weekend was just WAY too busy to get the shopping done. Not a bad deal for less than $7.00!
I took DS to our park/splash pad around 10:30 and we didn't get back till 1:30. Why do kids never seem to feel heat? Lol I was just sweating to death and he was just running around at an 11 the whole time.

I now want a Greek salad. That sounds fabulous.
We took my mom to lunch today since her birthday is tomorrow and her coworkers love seeing ds. We had to take ds to the GI specialist because he keeps getting constipated. Waiting on results from the X-ray to see if we get to do a clean out (I hope this isn't the game plan) or just start more of a maintenance treatment.
Now I am currently on the couch since going to the doctor, lunch and a 5 minute trip into Michaels is apparently too much for my ute.
Hi Ladies, I wish I could be here more, but man, work is just kicking my butt. Plus DD started a new daycare a month ago, we've had two weeks of sickness, and our retaining wall collapsed, and I am in the middle of getting quotes/picking details for a kitchen remodel. Oyi.
But, I THINK I felt the baby yesterday! There was a bit of pressure in a certain point, and then I drank some ice water, and felt it move a bit. May totally be my imagination, but I don't think so. Eek!
hugs to all those with nausea and beyond. Hopefully it will really be over for you soon.
And a greek salad sounds yummy! I was craving the BAM BAM from Snappy Salads yesterday and talked DH into picking it up for me! (It is lettuce, shredded chicken, quinoa, dried cherries, chopped almonds, with a parsley vinaigrette.) Hit the spot!
