I'm down 2 pounds this last week, and worked out 2 days both this week and last. Ideally I'd like to get up to 4 days a week, but I'm not sure that's realistic at this point. I got my new Fitbit finally, so I'm trying to up my activity level. I've been doing pretty well with my eating, and discovered an onion ring recipe that is baked but tastes just like fried. SO good and not bad nutrition wise! I can definitely see a difference when comparing side by side pictures from June and now, even though I don't when I look in the mirror. So, take pictures ladies, it! Which is getting keep me motivated!
mommabakes, a day of bad eating isn't bad, it's realistic! If you don't allow the bad eating every once in awhile, you'll crash and sabatoged all the good you've worked hard for. Allow the bad with no guilt...as long as it's not everyday!! Way to rock the Zumba!
I've lost 3 lbs in the past 7 weeks. It's slow but it's progress. I have 5-6 more pounds to go still. All the extra weight is still in my midsection but I think I'm starting to look less like I'm pregnant and more like I'm out of shape.
I still have only 2 pairs of work pants that fit. I probably need to lose another 2-3 pounds to fit into the others so that is the short term goal.
I know some of you ladies are killing it on the weight loss. Don't be shy about posting here. It motivates the rest of us!
When I said 2-3 lbs to go, that's just to cram myself into my work pants, and I'm not positive they'll even fit at that point. I still have 5-6 lbs to go to get back to pre-pregnancy weight.
Weight keeps fluctuating (lose 2 pounds, gain a pound) but my diet has been super bad between Halloween and stress eating. My neighbor is a trainer though and she's going to send me the workout that she had for me when she was helping with my physical therapy. So hopefully I can get my knee to stop hurting and get back on track with working out.
We are coming to the end of the whole 30 and so far I'm down 13 lbs. I want to keep our diet the same, but allow 'natural' times for some indulging. I worry we will just go off the rails and right back to bad habits. I would also like to figure out how to fit in some exercise, but I just can't seem to do it yet. Sunday will be our first time off diet because it's our anniversary.

I'm doing pretty well on my eating and have been working out 2x a week for the past month, so I'm going to try and bump that to 3x a week. Haven't weighed or measured myself, but I'm pretty sure I'm down a little bit.
Thanks @janetheconquerer . It feels pretty good, but I don't know how sustainable it is. I am going to try. To be honest I would love to lose another 12 lbs (just to challenge myself) but I don't know if it is at all realistic. Like my current weight is 5 lb less than when I graduated high school and when I first found out I was pregnant with DS1 (almost 18 years ago), so getting down even more I don't know if is possible. lol. It really is a testament that what I typically put into my body is not healthy.

redandblue, 13 lbs! Nice work! You may want to take a look at the Whole Life Challenge "Lifestyle" or even "Kicktarter" Diet— it's very similar to whole30, but a little more permissive (e.g., no flours, but it's not anti grain/ grain like— quinoa, brown rice, etc are fine.) I just finished up the WLC and think I'll sign up for the January one too, but even in the interim I am going to try to use the diet.
redandblue I've done a couple of Whole30's, but always eventually gone off the deep end a few weeks later. It changed my overall eating habits though. I may not eat that way all the time, but I've made some healthy changes that have stuck. 13 pounds is awesome, good work!!
Good morning ladies! And happy Monday! My motivation has been renewed after stepping on the scale today. I am down another 2 pounds! This makes me feel so good and I don't want it to stop.
I made a few slight changes in my diet last week. I did green smoothies for breakfast instead of just bananas and another fruit. Plus lots of salads and lean proteins. I also did a shit ton of steps this weekend.
My goals this week are: to walk during at least 3 lunch breaks, go to the gym 3 times this week, play out side with kids, and to continue to eat healthy.
What are your goals for the week, your positive/negative of the past week and any new motivational quotes you might want to share or memes?
I really feel off my steps last week because I was sick, so my goal is going to get back to hitting it everyday this week. I'm also going to work harder at cutting back on soda. Small steps this week.
My goal is to go to the gym at least 2x's this week and cook dinner at home 6/7 nights. We'll be eating lots of leftovers but our diet is our biggest downfall here.
redandblue how hard was it to prep meals on the WLC?
So I did the Whole 30. I haven't looked into the Whole Life Challenge yet, but I think th3stryck3r did. I may look into it a bit to see what it's all about, as she said it is a bit more inclusive of other foods. I am terrible at meal planning TBH, but pinterest is definitely my best friend when it comes to meals and cooking. I have a whole board dedicated to Clean Cleaning/Whole 30 recipes. I actually did not find it too bad to find LOTS of yummy meals. Even though there is a lot you're not supposed to eat, I feel there was still a ton we could eat, so meals weren't too bad. The only hard part was when I didn't plan a meal (or thaw some meat) it was harder to find 'convenience' type foods (no just ordering a pizza after a long day). My crock pot is also getting used more frequently, which in general I would like to get into a better habit of using more.

redandblue, packmomma, WLC is an 8 week health/lifestyle challenge that's run a few times a year. There are different components to it: diet, exercise, stretching, sleep, hydration and "habit" (which is a habit they ask you to incorporate into your day for one week– practicing acts of kindness, intentionally unwinding for 10 minutes after work, etc.) I did it with a TCF team from parenting– built into the challenge part is recording your scores and reflecting on the day, so doing it with a group of people gives accountability and support. One nice thing about it is that, unlike the Whole30, it's not all or nothing. Technically if you mess up during Whole30, then you haven't completed a Whole 30. But this is about making choices, and hopefully ultimately coming out at a place at the end where you are naturally going to be making healthier choices.
The next challenge is running in January, but you can access the diet lists at any time here. They are similar to Whole30, but a little more permissive.
I need to get my ass back in motion doing something. Been trying to sign up for crossfit all month, but every time there's an obstacle. First the car needed tags, then the car needed a tire, then H took my keys by accident, then he took the car seat, then I forgot what day it is. Now I'm waiting til December to sign up since we're leaving town for a week next week. Le sigh. I've gained 7 lbs back from the lowest I got and I feel like crap.
